I purchased a 20 package Cryotherapy session at the 840 Willow St location and only used it a handful of times. I received an email announcing the following: "Your packages will continue to be available (at Crossfit Xtreme Athletics) to you and you will also have access to world class coaches and athletes to help beyond what we were able to do with you before." However, when I called in to Crossfit Xtreme Athletics, they could not find any record of my package and would not honor the reciprocal arrangement promised. Very disappointed I wasted hundreds of dollars and definitely won't be recommending their services to anyone given their lack of customer service. Glace = Lifesaver. I would not be able to function without this place. So glad they came to San Jose and are doing well enough to stay. As someone who works out 5 days a week (Crossfit, TRX and Yoga) and has a very active job on top of that (lifting and moving furniture) this place is truly a godsend. For any non-believers, Cryotherapy helps me recover to continue my crazy lifestyle. Without it, I would be a dud. Before Glace, I would work 20 or so days straight and then crash from sickness as I had no help with recovery for my body. I'm going back today. I joined right after my first session. I couldn't believe I made it through the full 3 mins. The owner Ryan, ( my son's name so I remember) was very kind and knowledgeable. I teach Hot Pilates classes and they make me feel great, however I have lingering injuries due to age and overtraining over my life. I went in with extreme shoulder pain, and I was feeling tired.. I emerged and within about an hour I noticed my shoulder pain went from a 10 to a 3. My energy was through the roof. To the point that my last 4 training clients of the day thought I had enjoyed too much coffee ( i hadn't) But, oddest thing of all, I slept like a rock. It's a trip. I mean, it's cold, it's kind of rough.. but totally worth it. I am looking forward to 3 pm today when I get to do it again. I love this place. read more

Had my 1st experience today & it was a positive one. I was introduced to the concept of Cryotherapy about a year ago. After doing a lot of research I came to the conclusion that I needed to try for myself. I have been putting my body through a lot of stress with my daily workouts over the past 6 months. I was started to feel aching throughout certain muscles of my body. I figured this was the perfect opportunity to experience the hype. The facility was clean, the service was great, overall I thought it was a very well organized facility. The Cryotherapy session cold! No way to sugarcoat that experience, when you're inside for the 1st time it is cold! But it's totally manageable & in the end you feel great. I highly recommend it to anyone who does high intense workouts. Or if you're dealing with an injury, I also hear it's great for healing. read more

I have been coming here since they opened last summer, just now getting a chance to rate them though. Cryotherapy is pretty amazing for anyone who exercises a lot and gets everyday aches and pains, which I do (martial arts, lifting, gymnastics, etc.) This will make you feel a whole lot better and speed up recovery. The owners, Lindsey and Ryan are great people and are always there to greet you with a smile, Heather is really nice too. They just got this new machine the other day for after your cryo session, I think it's a vibration plate fitness machine? Anyway it's very cool, burned 400 cals on it in like 7 minutes; which coupled with the 500+ cals I burned doing cryotherapy in 3 minutes = appr 1000 cals!! Insane. This is amazing technology and such a great group of folks running Glace! Ive been about a dozen times and I would go more but I moved up to WA. I stop in when Im in town and try to get 3x in a row to re-stimulate my body. Great for flushing toxins and muscle soreness, improving muscle tone and Ive heard...fat burn!! This place is cool, no pun intended. I love the staff here, very friendly and down to earth. The few clients I have met while being in there all seem to have such great things to say about this place. Since I bought my package I have sent over several ppl I either work with or workout with and most of them have ended up buying packages too. If you're sore from the gym or run down after a long day it gives you that extra pep in your step. I rest better at night as well. This place is really good. The cryotherapy is really amazing in terms of body recovery and healing. The owners are really nice and welcoming Little background on myself, I'm in my forties, work on a desk 6-8+ hours a day, weekend athlete doing capoeira, bodyweight exercises and basketball. It takes a toll on the body, with muscle aches and overuse. I do see a sports chiropractor and once a awhile get a massage. Sessions are three minutes, but it's all you need. I use level 2 for my sessions and I think it's good enough for me. I don't go regularly, only when my body screams for it. Usually its when I get really sore and tweak some joint(s). After a session, my body feels great, the soreness and/or joint pain really diminishes I do recommend this people, especially those who are very active like me. read more

I was surprised how effective even one session can be. It's definitely scary when you consider how cold you get but the reality of it is that it's still only three minutes long. My body's response post session went from energy high for about two hours then to a nice drowsy state and great sleep afterwards. Plan to do the monthly special next to maximize my opportunities to keep my body in a good working state. I am trying to write a review without it being 20 pages long. But it's hard to condense all the information I want to give as far as my feedback regarding Glace Cryotherapy but I will try. I hurt my back in June and the pain was incredible. I was on four different pain meds and nothing seemed to work. When I called my doctors they told me to put on ice pack and that seemed to help a little bit but the pain was still there. Then I called Lindsay and she was so helpful and very patient and kind. I was very nervous to try something new because nothing seem to be working. Lindsay was patient with me and we took it slow. I immediately started to feel better and I COULD SLEEP because the pain was lessoning! I am so glad I found this place. After the first month I was able to go off of my pain meds. I had bulging disc and a torn disc and cryotherapy helped me heal the inflammation and helped my body heal. I can't thank these guys enough. They are friendly and very helpful and patient and have wonderful clients too. If you are in pain from an injury I highly suggest you try this place. read more

A new San Jose business. I had back Fusion surgery six weeks ago. I started treatment three weeks after surgery. With fusion surgery you can not take any anti inflammation medicine. I have had 9 secessions now. The swelling has been dramatically reduced. After each session I feel better. I was not sure if this would help but Lindsay was very helpful. After five sessions I was hooked. It was worth every penny. I will continue to go when my physical therapy starts. Excellent Willow Glen location. Clean comfortable environment.
