This place is horrendous, they can't/won't get my medications correct even though ive been on the same medication for a while, the so called nurse won't return calls to me or the pharmacy....they don't know what they're doing can't even do my labs correct....this place needs to be shut down as this is an ongoing issue for me and lord knows how many others....I will definitely be going elsewhere and will do my best to get this place shut down... The absolute worst. Primary care is awful, they can't follow up on prescription's and leave you without and hanging for days before any one of their doctors will refill your simple prescription, leading to unnecessary issues and discomfort. Urgent care is also atrocious. You are so much more likely to get timely service across the street at BetterMed. They are super fast in comparison. PUC in front of Walmart is not worth it in the least. read more

Lies and deceit of receptionist, forgetf and rude doctors, prescriptions are terribly fulfilled and they forgot one the medications i need. When I wwyoent back to request tha medication they demanded to charge a second visit to Medicaid and I wait for two hours till a doctor showed up and issued the damn prescription. A CoVid Rapid or Antibodies Test was administered on Dec 21, 2020. I patiently waited the Two and a half hours beyond my appointment time as I knew they were very busy. I was advised that I would receive the "Rapid" test results in 1 to 3 hours. I went about my business and awaited an email posting the test results. I checked every few minutes for HOURS! I went to sleep waking several times to check my E-Mail. NOTHING! Today after 22 hours had passed I went to the facility. The receptionist there advised me that "WE DO NOT SEND NOTIFICATION OF NEGATIVE RESULTS" In my opinion that is unprofessional and cruel! Lastly I had the strong impression that the receptionist could care less . . . Very Sad! read more

This place is the worst clinic I've ever been to. I went in to get my eyes checked after I was splashed with gasoline. The wait wasn't very long which was the only good thing about this place. The doctor finally saw me and she asked me questions but gave me no info on my condition. All she did was take me to a sink and washed my eyes out with tap water when it should have been saline. She then proceeded to tell me if I needed a referral that I would need to go to the front desk and ask them. She gave me no suggestions on follow ups. It was a horrible visit and I do. I never have an issue with the providers or the care that I received when I come. Nurses are always nice, the physicians always listen to me and prescribe what is needed. Unfortunately the front desk staff and billing is a nightmare. Takes months for them to resolve anything. I had two insurance policies at one time. Asked them to delete one once I dropped the policy, they didn't and continued to bill it, obviously Anthem denied the claims and the front desk staff made it my problem that they couldn't do the reprocess correctly. They refused to see me until I could get Anthem on the line to tell them the issue. The front desk staff is always rude and short with you. If they could get some manners and people who know how to deal with the public, I'd come here for primary care. Until then, just quick urgent care visits that I pretty much know what is wrong with me will do. read more

I wasted my whole morning there and got absolutely NO HELP from the 'doctor' that saw me. What kind of 'doctors' do they have there? Just for sprained wrists and sniffles I guess?? I called to make an appointment because I had had a blockage in my saliva gland for several days and although it was cleared now, I still was a bit swollen with some pain. I wanted to see a doctor about it. Even though I had an early morning appointment I had to wait -- and wait. THEN, after explaining everything to a nurse/assistant, the doctor sees me for about two minutes. He doesn't listen to me tell him I know I have an infection of some sort that caused the blockage. He wants to do tests -- for strep and the flu. I tell him I know I don't have the flu -- no symptoms -- and I had my shot. He said don't worry about the cost -- Medicare will cover the tests. He left and I thought about that. When the nurse came back in I told her not to test for flu. It was uncalled for -- I have no symptoms -- besides the strep test by itself (if properly conducted) would show if infection is present. I don't believe in billing Medicare for unneeded tests. Apparently the 'doctor' had no such scruples. After the 'doctor' comes back in, he says no matter what the discomfort in the side of my neck and my draining sinus are telling me, the slight cotton swab test to the back of my throat they did shows I have no infection, so he will NOT be prescribing anything for me. I told him I thought the test they did was not conclusive and I would like a mild antibiotic just to knock out any small remaining infection. Nope -- he can't do anything for me and what I 'need to do' is see an ENT. He wanted to 'refer' me to one he knows. Oh, yeah... now I get it... Thanks but no thanks. So, my advice is unless you just have a sprained ankle or a cut that needs a stitch or you just want a vaccine, make an appointment with a REAL doctor that specializes, not a doc-in-the-box wannabe. TOTAL waste of my time and Medicare's money. WHY didn't they just tell me they don't cover ENT issues and all they were going to do was refer me to an ENT??? That whole unneeded test thing and 'referral' suggestion was sketch at best. I feel cheated and duped. read more

I moved here from Massachusetts and was referred to this place. This place is the worse. I am going to for sure find another doctor. I asked for a referral for a sleep specialist. The doctor told me I don't need that and they could help me. Found out that was a lie. I asked for a referral for the pain and spine center over a week ago they kept putting me on hold and making me wait for hours and here we are over a week later and they still have not gotten my referral to the office. I am unsure if they even know what they are doing in that office. I called to complain and explain my situation and they continued to put me on hold and finally, I said to the receptionist. I used to be a medical assistant and I know the process. The way they are doing things is all wrong. I highly recommend finding a different place to get your medical needs met. Primary & Urgent Care 2306 Plank Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401 I registered online for a 2pm appt. Before I left my house, I decided to call and make sure they had my appt because it stated someone would call me back and confirm and that never happened. The young girl who answered the phone was less than friendly and just told me to come over and call when I got there that they would take me but the online system never registered my appt request. I did receive an email telling me it was received but not confirmed yet. Anyway, so I arrive at 1:40pm and I called. The young girl then tells me they will message me the online registration which took 5 mins to receive, ok fair enough. I fill that out and get it back, took maybe 10 total mins and I went ahead and paid my copay online too. I literally waited from 1:50pm until 3:40pm before I received the call to come in. Because I am essential personnel I required a quick test and the doctor said that because I have not had exposure they cannot do that and I said, I am essential personnel and I have to be able to report back to work cleared or not cleared, I cannot wait 3 - 7 days. She went on about how she could get into trouble and how she is going to help me anyway. What kind of establishment acts that way? Seriously? Anyway, I will not be coming back to a place that makes me wait hours in my vehicle and then acts like they are doing some kind of favor. Ridiculous. read more

I would give No stars if I could. I was having symptoms of high blood sugar and called in and left a message. It was over a month later before I got a response. At this point my sugar was so high I ended up in the emergency room. My sugar was so high they were amazed I wasn't in a coma! Got on insulin after having to go to PUC 3 times and demanding they do something. I eventually came off all meds with diet and exercise but now it is back. Dr prescribed metformin I told him it makes me sick and doesn't work for me as it makes me extremely sick while not lowering blood sugar. He said try it any way. I have now been in to be seen as a walk in and not been seen and called several times saying symptoms are worse an asked do my old insulin prescription in 3 almost 4 weeks I still haven't received a response read more

This is the second time that I have given primary and urgent care a try in Southpoint two in front of Walmart. Their rudeness is so bad it's hard to look past anything to get to the point where you want to give them another try. The wait time is incredible and the tablets to fill out your medical history are exorbitant. I would highly dissuade anybody from using this facility I have used Patient First in Central Park probably 20 or more times and I never have to wait and I'm always greeted with courtesy and hospitality. They also assess the situation quickly and get your medications to see you can get on with your day. read more

The wait today was 3 hours and when I got called back to see the doctor, they took an additional 1 1/2 hours to even come in the room to finally ask why I came in. The doctor seemed unfit and lacked the training and knowledge to even be a doctor, let alone tell me what was going on. If I could give a lower review, I would. This is the worst experience I've ever had in any doctors office. The receptionists also don't care to tell patients how long the wait is, they just tell you to wait in your car for however long. Their "drive thru Covid testing" takes place in the 4 x 8 ft unventilated atrium that everyone has to walk thru to enter the clinic. I scheduled the "15 min" test at 330. The parking lot was nearly empty when I got there early. I was told to come inside to show my ID. I was called to inside to be tested 30 min later. I was told my 15 min test would be back in 1.5 hrs. It's 3.5 hours later and no one answer calls. Not much point in going there if you want same results. AND does the public really need to walk thru the unventilated space where they are doing testing? I've been going here for more than 10 years and these people don't even know my name or my medical history even though it's on their computer right in front of them if they took the time to look. I'm a heart patient with several other medical conditions that needs to be monitored very closely. The owners have gotten so arrogant, self-absorbed and lazy and hiring unprofessional, uneducated staff that will not read your charts when seeing you it's getting dangerous. If it had not been for the Pharmacy I could have been in serious trouble with the medications prescribed me. May 8th I took my husband in to PUC stating that he was breathing VERY quickly and had a fever for five days, two of those days were over 103. The nurse practitioner said his lungs were clear and sent us home without taking an Xray!!!! They took blood from my husband and said we would get the results in 3-4 days. Even after I left two messages asking for the results, they never called me back. The early morning of May 11th my husband was put on a ventilator and placed in medically induced coma with the worst pneumonia the pulmonologist had ever seen in a man his age. He developed ARDS and had to be paralyzed. My family and I went through HELL because of the incompetence of PUC. read more

The worse service ever. On 1/3/2022 I took my special needs daughter to get a COVID test. I was there at 9:00 am. I explained to the front desk associate ( the person that sits on the left side chair) that I needed it to be seen as well for a non COVID related condition. The front desk associate told me I could not be seen until my daughter had a negative test result. I waited 2 hours for my daughter to be seen. The doctor and clinical team were very nice. The doctor told me that it was ridiculous that I wasn't given an appointment to be seen at the same time with my daughter. He said that there wasn't a need for my daughter to have a negative COVID test before he could see me. I had to go back to the front desk for the same person to schedule an appointment to be seen. She seemed put off and said " well you know you have to wait 3-4 hours" I could not believe her lack of compassion. This was her doing, she could have giving me an appointment at the same time but chose to be petty. I had to sit in my car for another 4 hours with my special needs daughter to be seen. I will never go back to this place. It took everything I had to control myself not to tell this woman what I think of her. People like her should not be allowed to work in a patient service position. Patients should not have to deal with this type of ignorance. Obviously this young lady doesn't understand that her job is to facilitate care not to put road blokes. read more

I went to the ER a few days ago with a back injury. If that has ever happened to you then you understand how painful it is and how it greatly affects your tolerance for anyone or anything. The facility is extremely clean and appears to be somewhat new or newer. The front desk staff is polite and professional. I simply needed a referral to see a back/spine doctor and the were able to get me some medication to help me until I was able to get that next appointment. I saw one of the physician assistants (Andrea) and she was the best. She did not sit there and talk to the computer, she actually took the time to talk to me face to face. That means a lot these days, in a world of fast food medicine. It was a pleasant experience and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I am very disappointed with the Spotsylvania PUC Center on Southoint Parkway, Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania County,Virginia, adjacent to the Southport Walmart. I would rate it a zero, if a zero rating were available. In the few years I've gone there, I have never once seen the same doctor or NP. I caught COVID in their waiting room, in 3/20 at the very beginning of the pandemic, because they made me come in for a prescription reautghorizartion for prescriptions that I will be on for the rest of my life. The COVID about killed me. coming up on two and -a-half years after I caught, I'm still impaired and healing-up from the COVID, which is like being shot in the chest by a medium caliber bullet, judgting by the damage Ui been able to take care of matters over the phone (WHICH THEY NEVER ONCE HAVE ANSWERED when I've called them, I could have likely been spared the infection and ensuing fight for my life. What I don't like about their business culture is their apparent lack of concern for their patients' well-being. I went in 2-1/2 months ago to get all prescriptions reauthorized. The NP was kind and seemed competentanf the staff was mostly professional and courteous. My prescriptions were all reauthorized, but now, the pharmacy wants to refill them, but says that the prescriptions haven't been authorized. PUC won't answer or return CVS's call. I've called them a couple of times, and am put on a wait, where every 30 secdonds-or-so a recorded voice thanks me for waiting, saying all of their receptionists are busy and my call is important to them. After 4 minutes, they switch me over to voice mail, and ask me to leave a message...which they NEVER respond to, so much as I can tell. Ask them to call you, and they never return the call. They try to push their patients to use their patient online portal, which I am extremely uncomfortable because it is a third party, and any online data can be hacked. In any event, I could never get their registration process to actually work. Too my eyes, they don't want any customers (patients), because all I've seen is indifference to anybody who doesn't come in for an office visit. I live more than an hour away, so an unnecessary office visit wastes time and fuel and is a cause for needless aggravation. To0 bad for me, It l guess, because they don't seem to care. I'm going to obtain a copy of my medical records, and then find a different healthcare provider. This particular office is headed for failure as a business. Treat your customers with indifference, complete inconsideration and willfully fail to make the efforts to show even the smallest of courtesies, and before you know, you're out of business. I'm going elsewhere, you would be well-advised to do the same thing.
