They were great 3 years ago but now, no. Now it seems that they just want more money and are trying to force me to come for a second yearly physical before they will refill my prescription for thyroid meds to ballence the levels. There is no reason for me to be physically seen and pay out of pocket for a visit when they did not even check my throat at the yearly physacalin October. The levels are only checked by blood tests and now that my 6 prescription has expired, which should have been a year, my levels are off and can't be checked until I have been on them for 2 months to get an accurate reading, there is no reason to be seen by them. Does anyone know an honest doctor I can transfer to for proper care? read more

One of the worst phone calls I've ever had. I work at a pharmacy and received a call around 4:30 on a Friday night from an assistant named Whitney who works here and she was very hostile for no reason. I did my best to help her with all of her questions and there was a small miscommunication, but I was only met with a hostile attitude. Between healthcare workers, the bar for professionalism is beneath the floor. Please get the attitude checked before you help more patients and talk to other healthcare workers. read more

I write this review as I sit in the room waiting to be seen. There was no one here when I arrived, receptionist took my insurance cards and I did paperwork. A lady came in with a cough after me, she has been seen and is gone already. (I could hear her through the walls). I've been here for over an hour. The medical assistant gave me her life story and a personal anecdote about my medications (unprofessional). One hour. Someone who came in AFTER me is already gone. They have checked in three other people (again you can hear everything in this office). read more

I have been to see a particular doctor at this office when I began to show signs of rheumatoid arthritis. The pain, redness and swelling were all apparent at that point. As it is with most, it does take time to diagnose such an illness. When I came to this doctor and my lab results didn't show any signs (as of yet) he literally told me my symptoms were in my head. I have never been treated with such disdain from a medical professional. That is, until I moved here from Arizona. I did pursue answers for my pain and symptoms which did eventually lead me to a rheumatologist. I have my diagnosis now, and the answers I was seeking. Guess what?! It WASN'T in my head! My lab reports now reflect that as well. I only hope you will not continue to make people feel like they are crazy. You ought to be your patients' advocate and not a big headed know-it-all. If you don't have the answers, telling a person it's in their head, especially a woman, is not the right thing to do. Stay away from this place if you wish to be treated with dignity. read more

My wife had an appointment to see a doctor today and received a confirmation on that appointment. When she got there and checked in the receptionist told her that the doctor she was scheduled to see was out sick. So she was scheduled with another doctor. It took us over an hour to be moved to an examination room and then it was another hour to be seen by the doctor. I think it would have been best for everyone if they would have just called and rescheduled. The doctor did not do much for my wife because she was pressed for time. I found it very unprofessional. read more

New family from Colorado and made an appointment here to refill meds for a chronic condition. The receptionist was very snotty and not warm at all. I had labs drawn, 16 days later...still had heard nothing so I called them. Receptionist said "well you were just seen!" I told her I was seen over 2 weeks ago and my whole appt was for urgent med refill. She said she would have a nurse call me. Never going back here....when the first experience is bad-walk away. read more

A systematic failure of the urgent care system On 3/26/2015, I visited the Urgent Care associated with Primary Care Specialists. I was having horrible stomach pains. I had been in a high level of pain for nearly 24 hours. I was seen by Allison Barto. During my visit, she kept wanting to reference the symptoms from my prior visit, wasn't willing to address my pain, and acted offended when I asked about price options for the blood work she ordered. After the visit, I went straight to Lab Corp for the blood draw. I went to work and waited for Allison's call on the blood work. Later in the day, I had not heard from Allison or the office, so I called in. She hadn't received my blood work and referred me to the ER for the pain. I felt that I had nowhere else to go for help. I came to your urgent care because I was in pain, and wanted a diagnosis. When I asked for something to help manage the pain, I feel I was treated like someone just looking to score some pain meds. Due to your physicians not helping with my pain, I was forced to visit the ER and incur a massive hospital bill that could have been avoided. In addition, my visit tied up valuable ER resources that could have been spent helping patients with legitimate emergencies. read more

I have been a patient at this clinic for thirty years. I have always received great care and even my children have loved going to the doctor. My care has always been effective and helpful. Dr. Maynard even saw my father who was in town for a few days. He discovered the problem and had my father in surgery within three hours (on a Friday no less). When the surgeon removed his gallbladder they found ecoli. Dr. Maynard literally saved my father's life. There is no one better in Pocatello to see as a family care doctor. read more

I recently transferred to Primary Care Specialists, requesting Dr Fernandez. The staff was friendly from the beginning. I'm a Medicare patient. The nurses I've met have been kind and efficient. Dr Fernandez is very knowledgeable and he listens! I'm impressed. I'd definitely recommend this clinic AND this doctor. read more

Primary Care Specialist and specifically, Dr. Mansfield, is not the best of doctors. And the way the office is run, you had best not complain, or you will be out the door, by Dr. Mansfield. When I first came to Pocatello, in 2005, Dr. Mansfield was not seeing new Medicare patients. After a couple of years, I was allowed into this practice. When this facility was moving, is when the real trouble started. It appeared to be, certain patients where being "culled". And he was keeping the practice to the best of his patients. Wow, I was not able to get in with my regular PCP as it was "after hours." Therefore I just walked in to the urgent care. Within two hours I had my abdominal pain evaluated, labs back, they were normal thank goodness, nausea medication taken and hanging in there. I am posting because the provider was impressive, cared for me, and they called me back the next day, yesterday to check on me. I'm feeling good today. Thank you. read more
