I was recently contacted by Chris at USA Auto Shipping in regards to my review. He was interested to talk about my experience and see what he could do to make it better. After our conversation and a little back and forth, I was offered a partial refund for the trouble with the driver. I truly believe my concerns were heard and efforts will be made to not use this driver if at all possible. The Car Carriage LLC refused to fix the issue and instead threatened us with negative if we didn't pick up the car, or pay $300 to avoid it. Unprofessional, dishonest, and a waste of time. I then tried to search for a towing company that was close to my location. Alliance came up in my Google search and I was able to get them on the phone. She asked my my exact location and all of the specifics of my vehicle and told me a driver would be on the way soon. There was a driver there within 45 minutes and had me hooked up and ready to go. Then they transported my vehicle to my workplace in Denton and never even questioned it. I would highly recommend their services if you are stranded and do not have towing on your insurance policy. I made a deposit through the phone. After the call, I was immediately emailed a confirmation with all the details. There was a 5-day pick-up window by the carrier. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround time. The carrier was going to be ready on the first day out of the 5-day window - perfecto!. This last minute accommodation was phenomenal as I called to have my car shipped in the next 48 hours. The door-to-door service was very convenient. On the day before shipment, the carrier contacted me with a time slot for delivery. They also kept me posted on the ETA on the shipment day. My car was loaded on the transport truck, and off it went. It arrived in CA safe and sound. In fact, it arrived a day earlier than anticipated, which was in the benefit of the recipient. Now I regret not shipping cars sooner instead of driving many miles across the states to reach my destination. It saves work and time - worth the money. If they know AAA can be delayed at any point, how can I as a customer to both AAA and Purrfect Towing know when the truck is an hour out??? Make it make sense! We called once the tow truck arrived which was within the hour in which we originally made contact and still waited more than 20- 30 minutes for someone to arrive and release the vehicle! There were two attempts, two weeks apart, by certified mail to let us know the vehicle was being charged a daily fee. This was not mentioned when we came to retrieve personal items from the vehicle almost 3 days after it arrived. Finally being contacted by insurance, we were told we were being charged daily since 5/3 and needed to move the vehicle to a different lot. The current total to move the car now is $905.24. Poor communication. We were injured in an accident that wasn't our fault. We no longer have a vehicle and the lack of empathy and compassion by the after hours team is disheartening. I hate to give a low rating because we spoke with a few people who helped prior to this encounter who were very considerate and helpful.

Immediately after ending the call, my son contacted me to let me know he could help us instead. Within approximately three minutes of placing the order, I texted the company back to cancel the request before any driver had been dispatched or services provided. To my surprise, I was informed that I would still be charged a 50% cancellation fee. I explained that only a few minutes had passed since placing the order and that no actual service had been performed. Despite this, they still processed the charge. Charging customers a substantial cancellation fee within minutes of booking, especially when no tow truck was dispatched, and no services were rendered, feels extremely unfair and misleading. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company and would encourage others to carefully review their business practices before using their services.
