DOUBLE BROKER ALERT…read more Rate did not match what customer actually had a contract with them. We verified directly with the customer at the pickup. The Car Carriage LLC refused to fix the issue and instead threatened us with negative if we didn't pick up the car, or pay $300 to avoid it. Unprofessional, dishonest, and a waste of time. Carriers beware--high risk of scam and double brokerage.

As prior reviews mention, the communication upfront was consistent - anytime we called, he answered or called back within 30 minutes. We were given a window, as any standard company does. On the first day of the window I waited about mid day to call and asked if there were any updates I was told "I was just looking at that... let me pull it up here... no driver has picked up yet but I do have a driver that reached out earlier that was interested in picking it up so once that is confirmed I'll call within a few hours out." The next day, on 06/05, I asked again at midday for any updates. James stated, "No updates... if you haven't heard from me, that means I don't have anything for you quite yet... You do know it's a window, right?" I responded yes, of course, that's why I'm just calling for an update, in which he states not to worry, he'll make sure that the car gets picked up by tomorrow, 06/06. I responded with no worries and clarified if he is available to call, given that it is Saturday, as I understand weekends are usually non-business hours/workdays. He responded "Oh yes, I'm available! It's only me here all day, every day, so I am available." Today, 06/06, I called midday again; no answer, so I left a voicemail to clarify whether the window is to close and, if a driver doesn't pick up, how we should proceed from here. We then used the "chat blog" option on their site, where the automated system or a third-party team said they would escalate the situation. We gave it time because we understand it's a busy season and we were still in our window however it is now 6pm in which he called us because of reviews and stated in a very agitated tone "I canceled your driver! They were an hour away (mind you, we were told that we would be notified when a driver picks up a few hours prior) you should think again before posting a negative review and wait for the window to close! I'm the only one here... sitting here on my day off... does your doctor have a day off?! Do you have a day off?! (Again, I politely asked if he is available today because I'm very aware that Saturdays are usually non-business days. Overall, everything was fine until it wasn't. We were patient, consistent in our communication, and understanding, and received no further communication until reviews were posted, at which point we received an immediate phone call.

Plus they add fees for brokering deals with shipping companies they hire. TPS is in the middle and TPS doEA not actually do the shipPing. TPS uses Central Dispatch to contract drivers to handle jobs and then TPS adds a large fee. TPS does nothing to earn that fee. Paying them is a complete waste. You can hire a transport company directly in central dispatch.com. Paying a fee would be ok, if they were any good. but they aren't. Highly recommend staying away from them!

I am pretty convinced that these positive reviews were written by friends and family of the owners…read more I have had nothing but a bad experience and it continues to be so as am still waiting on my car, calling Bobby and Dave repeatedly with no answer or call back for days now. I want to be clear I believed I was hiring Allied Moving, I dropped it at an Allied lot, with an Allied employee. It was not until I was on the road to my new home cross country (I was two states away at the time) and payment was demanded that I was told this was third party. So I had no choice in the matter. I dropped it on June 30th and had a 7 to 10 day window of drop off. It is now July 16th. On July 14th my husband called to see what the situation was and when to expect the delivery. He was told by Dave that "no one wants to pick up your car" which was confusing at the time as they are an AUTO TRANSPORT COMPANY, but a statement that now seems pretty clear as they don't pay out people who transport for them, based on reviews I have now seen. I have resorted to calling Allied and having them ATTEMPT to get a hold of these two as I have paid in full, have no idea where my car is, if it has even moved locations, if it is still even known where it is or when, if ever, it will get here. Right at this moment it seems like my car has been stolen and I have been duped out of quite a lot of money, much more than other companies were charging. My advice so far is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, that is if you care at all about receiving your car or even knowing where it is. So to reiterate: Dropped my car at an Allied lot on June 30th, paid in full, was given a 7-10 day window of delivery, it is July 16th and still no car. Called Bobby and Dave MULTIPLE times with no response or call back. Should this change I would be happy to update this review, however I am not exactly optimistic at this moment and will be looking into legal recourse should this continue.

They had advanced tools and dollies that were able to help on a number of situations throughout the house. The dollies enabled them to move heavy objects in and out by themselves, not requiring help from the other movers while they were busy. Other tools they had which very notable were these pads that they laid against fragile objects when moving them through tight doorways in order to prevent damage. They were so careful with our things that we did not mind paying a little bit extra for extra cautiousness, after all you move once in a while and want it to be done right. This was definitely one of the aspects that caused me to leave the rating I did. Another thing that I really loved about these guys was that they did not allow me or anyone in my family to partake in carrying objects. They made sure that my parents relaxed and watched, and supervised the movers as they did their job. The manager said that it was their job and that was the reason they were there and being paid. We really appreciate all of the hard work and effort these guys put into our move. Even the truck drivers were inside helping as much as they could until the trucks were full and they had to hit the road. The entire move was scheduled to take two weeks but we managed to narrow that down to about eight business days. I could not be happier with the results. Thank you to the entire moving crew for all they did for my family.

I got assigned a coordinator to give me a quote from their home base in California. After I paid, I arranged a time frame for my household goods. The dispatcher was good at letting me know the time frame. They also got my car shipped and all that. One gripe, if that, is that they don't move your stuff themselves. They contract local companies to do the move for you. In other words, they are what you call a broker. I know this because I asked the movers themselves if they're with Trico and he said, "No, we are a sister company. They contact us and we do the rest." Another gripe is that they charged me a "long haul fee". I had a top floor, corner unit at my apartment complex. They charged me an extra $300 for extra footage for the move. So be wary of that part if you're an apartment dweller. My stuff got to California safely and everything was accounted for. As for my car, again, they contract other auto shippers. My car came back in one piece. I'd recommend Trico. Some may be hesitant if they're essentially a "middle man" of sorts. They were professional with the whole process.

I spoke to Matt via telephone, and he quickly inputted all my information. Initially, I just wanted a simple quote, but the affordable price to ship to Cali got me. I made a deposit through the phone. After the call, I was immediately emailed a confirmation with all the details. There was a 5-day pick-up window by the carrier. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround time. The carrier was going to be ready on the first day out of the 5-day window - perfecto!. This last minute accommodation was phenomenal as I called to have my car shipped in the next 48 hours. The door-to-door service was very convenient. On the day before shipment, the carrier contacted me with a time slot for delivery. They also kept me posted on the ETA on the shipment day. My car was loaded on the transport truck, and off it went. It arrived in CA safe and sound. In fact, it arrived a day earlier than anticipated, which was in the benefit of the recipient. Now I regret not shipping cars sooner instead of driving many miles across the states to reach my destination. It saves work and time - worth the money. I will definitely use this service for shipping again with my next move: professional and reliable.
