There are small, multi-age classrooms, some seriously dedicated teachers who go above & beyond and so many off campus trips! On a yearly basis: 3rd graders go the Grand Canyon, 4-6th grades go to the Biosphere and several trips to local campgrounds and events, the 6th graders spend a week in Havasupai, the 7th & 8th graders go to Tombstone for a few days, The Montessori Model United Nations students go to NYC for a week & the 8th graders spend a week on Catalina Island. This is in addition to the various local trips that come up throughout any given year for all grades. The Montessori style of teaching allow for the kids to become independent learners. The environment is provided and they are allowed to explore it and in essence, come out of the experience with a lifelong love of learning. Anyone can memorize facts, spit them back & forget them and all my kids will have plenty of time to do that after this school! The creativity each of these classrooms fosters can be seen in their community garden, the after school Farmers Market, the off campus farm, the violin concerts by the 1st through 8th graders, their award winning presence in the St. Patrick's Parade every year, their artistic creations with holiday lights for the past several years at Red Rock Fantasy, their Bohemian Night of the Arts event, the Monthly Coffee House performances, the student created plays by the 4-6th graders, fund raising theater productions by the 7th & 8th graders, internet radio show, their Mystery History presentations where the 4-6th graders have to get their classmates to figure out what historical figure they're portraying in the "1st person style" of performance, and the uniqueness of the set up and decor of each classroom. The three individual classrooms have their own Principal Educator who is with the students on a daily basis, all day long. Currently (2013) the Lower Elementary P.E. my child was a kindergarten transfer earlier this school year and we absolutely love this school!…read morethey were one of the only schools i contacted to willingly and happily let us tour the school. the principal is so delightful and answered all the questions i had and made this transition feel a lot easier for me, she also greeted every child she saw on campus by first name which i loved. my main priority was making sure my sons IEP was followed and consistent throughout the school year and they have exceeded my expectations. we have meetings often, that not only our speech pathologist sit in on but also my child's teacher and principal. everyone is always on the same page and nothing is ever left out. i have seen an incredible improvement in my child's speech and they love Mrs. Glick so much! my childs teacher Mrs. Hammerstad is absolutely delightful and my son loves her so much! we were nervous transitioning into a bigger classroom than he is used to but she made him feel so welcomed. she has taken every express and concern i've ever had and handled it immediately and with grace. the level of communication i have with not only her but the school as a whole is really great! i also love how community and family involved the school feels, we have attended numerous celebrations, activities, and field trips. i truly believe they give not only the children a great experience but the families as well. i cannot wait to see what the future years bring and i'm so happy my son is apart of this school!

And, the faculty, really, seemed to love the kids, and care about them. Plus, there didn't seem to be favoritism, as well as cliques. The principal was one of the nicest principals, one could work for, in my opinion. The atmosphere was relaxed, because the principal had a calm mannerism. Yet, the job was stressful for him. He should have been given more of a chance. Ever since, the school has been interesting. There have been a lot of changes. And, a lot of people have left. It's very different. But I, still, miss a lot of the people, and the precious kiddos.

Worse years of my life, everyday there was traumatic evens. The staff did a terrible job, yelling,…read moreshaming, laughing at you, and one time a girl got thrown into the wall by a staff. They stole girls belongings never to be seen again, and the things we did get back we had to pay for, our OWN things. The staff were very rude and mean to the staff of color, the sweetest staff ever, i felt very cared for. She was treated horribly. I counted 16 workers left (willing or not) during the 1ish year i was there. Situations were not dealt well, to the point the main hallway carpet had massive bleach stains used to clean up a ton of blood. The person struggling told the staff they needed help but were ignored. I've seen people who went in with struggles and trauma, and some of the same people came out with more trauma, self hate, eating disorders, and being antisocial. I had struggled with a drug addiction, but my therapist told everyone i was lying even though she had my test results, one of the reason i was sent there!! I was laughed at by other students when I tried to advocate for myself about this. There was a time where my throat was closing up due to an allergic reaction to something i told was safe for me to eat. It took them 1 1/2 hours to get me any kind of medical help, the staff were sitting in the hallway doing a puzzle and another one watching a movie with some of the girls. I had a very hard time drinking the liquid medicine and they told me it was my fault. Sorry turned into a rant. But hopefully this gives you the insight to the horrors this place. I hope everyone affected by SRA is doing well. Things will get better.

I am SO happy I found the Caepe school. The head of the school has devoted her life to education and really tailoring it to the individual student. My son (7) is in the grade appropriate for his ability in each area. No "one size fits all." the staff is hand selected and simply outstanding. If you're looking for an "out of the box" private school, this one is it. I would easily consider an hour drive to take my kids here. They also follow the most rigorous educational standards set by the Educational Record Bureau. Higher than is currently adopted by AZ public schools.

We're not members but come for their pool 1-3x a year, it's never been crowded every time we have…read moregone. Which is nice!! It's around $15 for my son and I to and swim, I like that they have a family room where you can store your things in lockers, they have bathrooms w/showers in the family room, I still bring all my belongings out in the pool area, you can bring your own snacks which is convenient. My boy who is 11, likes to swim in the deep area, he did have to take a swim test his first time to make sure he can swim in that area, once he passed, they made him wear and orange bracelet, now anytime we go, we just tell a lifeguard he passed and they're ok with him just grabbing a bracelet and putting it on every time, no need to take test again. When we would go, on weekends, water slide doesn't open till 11, overall this is a convenient place to go when you feel like swimming. With it being indoors though, the chlorine smell is strong, but tolerable. The lifeguards are very nice as well.

Equipment is good, awesome that they have a basketball court and a huge pool, and It's budget…read morefriendly. Only real downside to this gym is the hours can be limiting and if you want to use the basketball court, you need to check the schedule to make sure it's free.
