This is the best restaurant we've found so far in Gainesville. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in Celebration Pointe area, there were lots of people out and about plus UF cheerleaders, a band, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pretty simple to make a rsvp online and appreciated the various reminders sent. After the last reminder they stated our table would now be set for our arrival and it was definitely all ready with our exact number of place settings, no wait, when we walked in the door. Host staff was very welcoming and immediately created the feeling that their restaurant was special. Also appreciated the text suggestion to silence/put away phones to enjoy the meal. Parking was fairly easy with a garage just behind plus ground level parking all around the various shops. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant appears upscale and clean, with several of their beef selections featured up front being aged.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were a couple people who helped take care of our table and they were awesome! The young man who started us off with drinks was amazing and always there the second we needed something or the server needed an extra hand. Our server, Meleny, was also wonderful. They all were professional and set the mood for a relaxing evening even though we were there on a busy night. The manager was also actively engaged as he walked by multiple times checking on tables & ensuring the dining room was running smoothly. Prior to dinner the waitress came by with a knife selection for our steaks, which was a fun touch. We ordered the dry aged ribeye, filet, tuna tower, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, wine and mocktail. Thank you for offering interesting mocktails and the Daou chardonnay (yummy!). The tuna tower and brussel sprouts were our least favorite & wouldn't order them again. Lots of corn on the tuna tower and sprouts (although they looked great) had too much vinegar. The mashed potatoes were all of our favorites - SOOOO delicious!!!! They were creamy, flavorful...everything you want in mashed potatoes - definitely don't miss these!!! The steaks were pretty good. We preferred the flavor of the filet, but both were very nice. There were no fewer than 3 people (including a manager) who stopped by the table to ask if our cook was as we'd requested. The waitress even asked us to cut into the middle of each steak before she left the table to ensure we were satisfied with it, so if you don't like your cook level, there's plenty of opportunity to have it addressed. I have never encountered a restaurant where the staff was so genuinely wanting to ensure accuracy of the steak & handle it if there was an issue. This was impressive & spoke to their commitment to taking care of the customers! I would definitely return again when in Gainesville and recommend to others. Although the food was excellent, the service by all employees really elevated the evening and made it memorable.

100/10 recommend for great cocktails and a wonderful culinary experience! located in the heart of Celebration Pointe- parking lot near My husband and I are visiting and wanted to visit an upscale trendy place. Walked in on a Friday, extremely packed, so reservation is def recommended here. We ordered drinks, steak + enhancements (seafood add-ons), and the redfish Everything was flavorful and amazing, although food could use a bit more salt. Just a tiny bit. For the steak, you get to pick out your very own knife, thought that was a cool experience! They have a great selection of desserts

I took my husband here for his birthday while visiting Gainesville. Sadly, I was disappointed in our dinner. First off, we ordered mocktails because we don't drink much which seemed to annoy our server. It was our first time here and we told our waiter this but he gave little I sight as to what dishes may be good and recommendations for ordering. We had ordered the "famed" French Onion soup as an appetizer, only to be informed later, that they were out of it. How do you run out of soup? It was not very busy and the restaurant was only about half full at the time. We then waited a long time for our starters of wedge salad and pork belly. The wedge salad was average at best, with bacon bit crumbles rather than real bacon, and the pork belly was good. We watched as everyone around us enjoyed their delicious bread. We had read about it in the reviews and assumed it came with the meal but it never arrived. We finally asked someone who was not our server and he said it would be served with the entree. Our server vanished and was not to be found until he delivered our entrees. We asked about the bread and he seemed astonished that we didn't get any? Meanwhile, as we were finishing up the entrees, the bread arrives with their signature blueberry cinnamon butter. Mediocre at best. The bread was more like a breakfast popover. My husbands steak and grilled shimp were very good. The filet was cooked perfectly to his liking and the shrimp were tasty. My $53 piece of sea bass was cooked perfectly, but the "blistered" heirloom tomatoes that were in the dish were far from blistered, were cold, hard as rocks and basically served raw. We shared the mashed potatoes, which were quite salty but edible. We finished with Chocolate Mousse cake for dessert which was just ok. They did write Happy Birthday on it so that was nice. Th cake was quite large and too much for two of us. We took half of it home with us. The chocolate did not seem to be the quality chocolate we are used to for a chocolate ganache cake. Overall, quite a disappointment for a $250 dinner for two. The third star was for the mocktails. They were pretty delicious.

The food was enjoyable overall. The calamari was pretty good, with nice pieces of octopus and fried peppers, complemented by a flavorful chili sauce and citrus aioli. The oysters were good but disappointingly small. The rack of lamb came with three pieces and were a great size. I got them in medium and was cooked perfectly, all juicy and tender. It could have used a bit more salt. The four green beans served with it felt odd, they definitely could have added a lot more instead of charging $11 for a side of green beans. The redfish was well-prepared but lacked flavor, and the lumb crab on top didn't appeal to me. On the other hand, the popover bread was a delightful surprise--light, buttery, and paired wonderfully with the blueberry butter. It was unexpected, as I thought regular bread would be served. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside kinda looked like a hotel lobby so I wasn't really into that experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was just alright, not exceptional.

We wanted to celebrate this weekend so the husband took us out to Prime and Pearl It's tucked away right next ton Kilwin's but once you enter, it's like you entered a whole new world. We had reservations and were seated right away. We started the night off with oysters which were SO fresh. Our favorite was the Pink Moons. The complementary bread service is one of the best I've ever had. That blueberry compote Butter was perfection. Steak was grilled to perfection and so flavorful! The brussel sprouts and lobster Mac and cheese could've been a meal of their own. We're going to come back again to this amazing spot!

So this is one of the nicer restaurant in the Gnv, and the decor and ambiance was very nice. The hostess and bartenders were very nice while we waited for the rest of our party to show up. When our party showed up, we were promptly seated at our table. The food quality here was OK, but not great. I ordered the burger which was not cooked to my desired temperature. Additionally the fries were undercooked and greasy. The saving grace was the coconut cream pie which was stellar. I probably wouldn't come back.

Absolutely delicious. One of the best steak dinners we've had that's on par with New York, LA, and Chicago. The Ribeye was grilled perfectly, the oysters were so fresh and the Pearl Paloma cocktail was perfect! Service was lovely from the manger welcoming us in, to our server who was the best. Thank you for a wonderful dinner for two out-of-towners. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're in Gainesville, Fl looking for an upscale dining experience but not stuffy, this is your place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, ask about the Saltine Crackers with your oysters...trust me!

Drove in from Tampa for my mother's 75th birthday. We were greeted and sat immediately on our arrival. We appreciated the quick seating. Junior server took our non-alcoholic drink orders which were served promptly. Our main server , Sarah was great! She was patient with my mother's indecision over what to order and took special request to make a salad a particular way. Food quality: not so great. Appetizers were basic. The bruschetta was nothing to write home about and the calamari was fine. The bread poppers were very good. We appreciated the generosity of the split French onion soup. Ceasar salad was not good. Almost like they took the lettuce out of one of those publix bag salads and put some dressing on it. Main course: I ordered the filet; my son ordered the ribeye. They both came out luke warm and you could tell my steak had been sitting under the heating lamps. It was dry. I didn't take a picture because I was hungry and immediately started eating. I didn't want to bring it up because I didn't want to make an issue out of it during my mom's birthday. It took a long time for the enteees to come out. We didn't complain, but we were also never given an update of the status of our order. My wife ordered the salmom-fine. No complaints from anyone else. The sides were good. The end of the meal, Sarah brought out the birthday cake my sister had pre-ordered and had delivered to Prime&Pearl. The standard 20% for large group was applied to the check. I provided an additional 10%. So, im not complaining about the service. Overall value for food, poor. **Manager was noted to be greeting tables all around us, but not us. Thanks...

We had a beautiful evening celebrating our anniversary. Noah was prompt with waters & a smile as our server assistant. Mimi our server was kind, knowledgeable, and made it such a joy. She was amazing our glasses never went empty, and we left full & happy. Incredible selections. There is no wonder for the name... oysters and steak were unbelievable. A manager also stopped by she was sweet. Great experience!

Everything was perfect. We had dinner reservations for my birthday. We still talk about this meal. The blueberry butter was delicious, I can't wait to have it again. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had. The ribeye was also cooked so wonderfully. Probably our favorite thing wad the silky mashed potatoes. They were fantastic. I can't say enough great things about this food. Our waitress was great, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is romantic-ish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the restaurant is pretty small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to go back!!!!! One of the best meals of my life. We won't stop talking about it.

Been wanting to try Prime & Pearl for a while so went for the $52 Thanksgiving Dinner Plate but received a $12 dinner. It was advertised as a mixture of white and dark meat and I prefer dark so first thing noticed was no dark meat and only few slices of white meat on the plate. Even more disappointing was the gravy at the bottom of the plate was actually cold. My daughter complained she was thirsty as her glass sat empty for too long. They bring over a tray of assorted knives and let you pick your knife which seemed corny when food and service was blah. Not sure how they think this plate is worth the money. It felt like Prime & Pearl is a hyped up fake status "look at me" place focusing on money over quality and customer satisfaction. Definitely go to Cracker Barrel instead.

The selection we had to choose from.

Definitely glad we did, because I'd highly recommend getting a reservation here. We went on a Saturday around noon and found out they do a buffet brunch until 3pm. I wasn't expecting that at all, but it ended up being awesome. The shrimp and grits were amazing. I don't know what they put in those grits, but they were seriously scrumptious. The chicken wings and sliders were also really good. The place itself is really nice and well put together. Our server was good too and even gave us some recommendations for breweries in the area, which was appreciated. Overall, great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

For example seared in olive oil is mentioned but they leave out it's been marinated in herbs and vegetable oil prior. However an undressed salad and grill item like a prime rib were supposedly not pre marinated. So for the folks trying to eliminate inflammatory seeds oils from their diets or those with soybean or peanut allergies you need to stay away. Since blended cooking oils or vegetable oil can def contain both. Atmosphere is casual and interesting with all the football history about. I'm adding menu pictures but we just had drinks with friends and when the food arrived for those not caring about vegetable oil etc we left.

We went during THE busiest time so we were lucky to find parking in the cramped but free parking lot. The hostess let us know there was a 35 min wait for indoor seating for 2. Outdoor seating was available, but we decided against it since it was a hot n sunny day in the 90s. We were ok with the wait and gave the hostess my name and phone number to get a text when the table was ready. While we waited, we walked to Serpentine plant shop across the parking lot and shopped a little. The text that our table was ready arrived 34 minutes so it was timed perfectly with the end of my shopping... we were seated soon after walking back into the restaurant. We had a corner table near the drink prep/coffee station so we had a front row seat to the preparing of many different teas and coffees while we decided what to order. A note about the table / seat size, we are skinny people and the seating fit us well but anyone somewhat wider would have trouble being comfortable. The high top tables might be a better option for those guests. The entire restaurant was packed when we came in and remained pretty full for our visit. There are 2 single-occupancy restrooms to the far left of the main entrance. They were clean enough and stocked appropriately. We were served by Jane and she answered all our menu questions. We ordered a cold matcha latte, chai latte, Mexican Coke, crispy potatoes, afternoon hash extra egg, 1/2 mushroom toast, and a turkey club no lettuce no bacon plus desserts (to go) chocolate chip cookie, puff pastry, and cinnamon roll. Jane brought out our to go desserts soon after the order. Our drinks arrived minutes after. However, our food took a bit longer (which we expected with a 100% full restaurant and Jane apologized for the wait, letting us know our food was on it's way about 20 minutes in) around 30 minutes. While we were waiting, there was punk rock / alt music in the background and a bunch of people's conversations going on so don't expect to have quiet dining if you go during a Saturday busy brunch. The Turkey Club was on thick Texas toast with dill in the mayo and tasted clean, fresh, like a delightful treat that grandma would make on a hot summer day. My husband's hash and crispy potatoes were the right amount of crunch and spice. The crispy potatoes had chunks of lime in it that were alarmingly sour but somehow complimented the dish. My mushroom toast had a delectable sauce topping with fresh scallions on french bread. We were very satisfied with our choices and had 1/2 my sandwich leftover plus our desserts to bring home. Many of the guests left empty plates when leaving so it seems their food is a hit! The only reason my "atmosphere" rating is missing a star is that our table was unfortunately near one of the restrooms so we would occasionally smell the disinfectant odor when someone opened the door. This was just a seating "feature" so of course it could not be helped. As far as other smells, we did notice that the kitchen, even if it was nearby, did not waft any fried food odors or smoke so their cooking area ventilation must be top-notch. All in all, a great foodie experience, cost about $100 with generous tip. Jane provided super customer service. We would come back for brunch or lunch here again, just not at the same table area

I entered the restaurant at 9:15 am with my guest and were seated promptly. Our server proceeded with our drink order in which we requested a vanilla and brown sugar iced latte and lemonade. My vanilla and brown sugar latte was made well and was quite refreshing. The lemonade was a bit sweet but overall a good beverage. However, as our experience continued it became a bit of a let down. We ordered the Dutch baby with seasonal fruit, the big break, a cinnamon roll, and the afternoon hash. From time of placing the order to receiving our food was an overall total of 45 minutes. A bit of a long wait for breakfast/brunch style items. The cinnamon roll was not done well whatsoever, the roll itself was over kneaded which created a thick and heavy dough. Not the fluffy type of cinnamon roll you would expect. When our food did come out the Dutch baby was partly burnt, it did not taste as such but it was a bit flat in regard to taste. The potatoes in the hash and the big break were burnt. I wouldn't consider it crispy because they were so overcooked I could barely get my fork to go through. The taste of the hollandaise did redeem the dish a tad, however for $90 including tip it was not the dining experience I would come back to.
