I have been in this place for the last three days on and off. Service is excellent, manager is on sight and very sociable as he oversees the operation. Bartenders and servers very professional and courteous. I have had the French Dip already and now trying the Fire cracker shrimp as I watch the NFL games. Nice sauce it was tossed in with a little heat. There are over 15 TV's to watch any game you would like. They set it up so your party can watch what they want. Nice cold pint glasses to enjoy your beer in, good selection of liquor to choose from. My wife and SIL had frozen daiquiris yesterday and they enjoyed them. Even delivered to the pool for them. We had the loaded tots, Philly cheese steak, Mac n' cheese with fried chicken in garlic parm sauce, & the fat dog! First, bartender Jessi is the BEST!! She is so caring for her bar patrons. She remembers my drink of choice and practically has it poured before I have seat. So sweet!! Love her!! We are staying at the hotel so Gator's is attached and very convenient. Here for a week and had lots of meals. Each is gourmet quality and each meal has been freshly made and delicious. I'm stuffed! We stopped in here after a fuel stop traveling south. First, the GPS took us to the backside of the Harley Motorcycle shop. Luckily, we looked over at the Best Western and found Gators. Mike was the server/bartender and welcomed us as soon as we walked in. He was engaging and very helpful. It's a cozy intimate type of place. Easy to have conversation with other patrons. I admit I wasn't expecting much, since this place is attached to the Best Western. But after the GREAT service, and really stellar food, I was beyond pleasantly surprised! The Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque soup was by far one of THE BEST grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had, and hubby had the house burger. Fries were hot and crisp, perfectly cooked, and even though we came in an hour before closing, the waitress was amazing, nice, and super attentive. I could not have been happier. Highly suggest this place! Don't be fooled by where it is - this place is a true gem. I almost gave it 5 stars - the food was that good! If I could rate 4.5, I would. House burger + grilled cheese + 2 drinks was $24.52, and with the check-in offer we got free Cheesecake for dessert! read more

We arrived at your restaurant on Saturday 10-16th around 12:15. There was only one bartender and one waitress. There were probably 20 people when we arrived and lots more people were arriving as we all were staying at the Best Western for a conference and we were on a break. You should have planned for more people as there was a conference going on. We left immediately and others did so also. This little place was absolutely amazing! My mom and I were sooo hungry after her appointments at UF, but we need s place with beer for my dad, and healthy options for my mom. This was the BEST little restaurant!!! It's tucked away on a side entrance of a hotel, but we couldn't have been happier! Our server, Ben, was the nicest guy, and he always made sure our drinks were full, and we always had water and beer for my dad. Ben was polite, friendly, proficient, and professional. The food was absolutely amazing!! My mom and dad both had the chicken Marsala, and they thought it was the best they've ever had...and we're Italian! My dad said the onion rings were also the BEST he's ever had, and I also agree! The fries were hot and tasty. The draft beer was fresh and ice cold. BOGO pricing during happy hour which is a nice bonus. My experience was not terrible but rather disappointing and not-enjoyable. I've read good reviews and have been wanting to give this place a try since I am a local living within 10 minutes. I went on a Wednesday night, not very busy. The atmosphere was clean and very pleasant. I sat at the bar and Sarah was very nice and friendly. The menu is not big but has a little of everything and has some very tempting and pleasant choices. Prices are reasonable, and I liked that I could substitute the fries without an extra charge. I even signed up for the Champion's Club at that moment. However, this is where the positives end. I ordered the Burger Reuben, attracted by the corned beef and sauerkraut. On my very first bite I noticed it didn't have sauerkraut. I pointed this out to the server, who checked with the kitchen and was told they had run out of sauerkraut. I was asked if this was ok, and I said "no" and refused to eat anymore. I ordered that plate BECAUSE of the corned beef and sauerkraut. If they ran out of it, they should have notified the server. I would have gladly chosen something else at that moment, not when I was already upset and disappointed. Running out of ingredients happens all the time, I get it and I understand that. What was upsetting to me is not being warned by the kitchen and still being served something that was below the standard. Someone there assumed: (1)- that I would be ok into being forced to take something I didn't want; and/or (2) that I would be dumb enough not to notice. I felt tricked and I had a problem with that. It left such a bad taste that I just wanted to leave and go somewhere else. I am not giving a "1" here because of the positives mentioned earlier and because I was not charged for the one beer and two onion rings I had. By the way, I gave back my Championship Club card because I'm not planning to go back. read more
