The wait lists are months/years to even get in a new doctors office.. the letter wrote stated they would make sure patients atleast had a 90 day supply of refills for their medications, THEY DID NOT DO THIS & LEFT MENTALLY ILL PATIENTS TO POTENTIALLY DIE AS THE MEDICATIONS ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO BE ABRUPTLY TAKEN OFF!! THIS IS SO MORALLY WRONG & SAD TO DO TO ANY HUMAN!!!! THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!! How can any doctor's office legally do this?? Dr. Alvarez is very professional, nice, and really listens to your problems and concerns. I can't say for the other doctors there because I've only seen Dr. Alvarez. Kathy, one of many medical assistant at that practice, is so sweet and professional. The front desk staff as a whole are nice, but there's one receptionist that needs to work on her attitude. Every time I've checked in with her, she's just very snippy. Maybe she's having a bad day, but I've checked in with her more than five times so I'm not so sure. However, don't let that deter you because the care there is exceptional and they'll do whatever they can to facilitate your needs. If you are a Mercy patient, sign up with Follow My Health. All you have to do is ask the front desk receptionist to get you signed up. Once you do that, there's an app on your mobile device that is free to download and it's super convenient. I use it to schedule appointments, email my doctor, and update my health history.

I was weighed and immediately seen to by a nurse, then met with my doctor BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT TIME? Did I end up in some sort of a parallel universe? This place is great! Every person I've interacted with has been friendly, freaking SMILING and seemed genuinely happy to help me. What in the world? When we moved here all I heard was terrible things about SMM (including my husband working for a branch which was pretty downright YUCK). The clinical staff here, the nurse practitioners and doctors have been a flipping DELIGHT. I came in for a general 'help me I've been untreated for 8 months and need to be treated' visit, and then for a small procedure, and am headed back in for another next week - and I'm HAPPY about it. Keep doing exactly what you're doing, guys/gals - cuz you're killing it! BTW: Dr. Burla and Kailee are phenomenal and I consider being assigned to them an incredible blessing.

Instead of verifying what was clearly an…read moreirregular prescription (written as 1 "pen" with three refills), the pharmacy chose to "interpret" it on their own. The result? They filled it as a 1-month supply, but still charged me the full 3-month copay and shipped just one box. When I called to resolve the issue, Kristy R. (Mail Order Pharmacy Rep) flat-out told me it's "not their responsibility" to clarify questionable prescriptions with the provider--that it's entirely on the doctor. That's not just poor service, it's reckless. Pharmacies are supposed to be a safety checkpoint, not a guessing game. It got worse. When I asked her how she'd feel if she were in my position, her response was: "It doesn't matter how I would feel." That level of indifference says everything about the customer experience here. Between the lack of accountability, unwillingness to verify obvious issues, and dismissive attitude toward patients, this experience was beyond frustrating. If this is how they handle something as straightforward as a prescription, it raises serious concerns about their overall service and patient care.

This follow-up review regarding Martin's Point Generations Advantage is regarding their (Martin's…read morePoint) bad faith in resolution to issues that pertained to their loyalty wellness debit card w/ expiration of 12/27. This review pertains to Martin's Point, its business and its customer relations practices, with very poor, unsatisfactory customer services and unsatisfactory problem resolution to issues and matters at hand. Martin's Point Generations Advantage was (and has been from the start) a very big disappointment all-around. Lost Medicare coverage with them in late 2025 AND lost access to the use of Wellness account with prepaid Debit card supposedly valid until 12/2027. Card didn't work last year or this year to make purchases on a "pre-paid" debit card. I have yet to get any resolution to unusable and invalid Loyalty Debit Card issued to me, even after writing before and issuing Notice of Default. I have gotten the run-around and health insurance blow-off and kiss-off response from their "Grievance Dept.". I have been unable to use it (Wellness debit card) in any retail stores for health/ medical-related purchases in 2025 and into 2026. Others have apparently had similar issues, including at Walgreens etc. So far, it looks like it is more "Customer NO service" with more stone-walling and kiss-off response from them. I sincerely hope that they get their act together and serve their customers and patients better with meaningful accountability and meaningful recourse for its former clients and customers. A rating of UNSATISFACTORY and Fails to meet (or have met) expectations remains in place on them, sadly. Very alarming and pretty shameful. Others need to take meaningful action on similar issues. I do NOT recommend anyone doing business with them now, going forward. I hope others in similar situation take immediate action against them.

I know that everyone has their own tastes when it comes to personal care, but do yourself a favor…read moreand don't use this woman as your doctor. I've had a number of bad doctor experiences over the years, but this was by far the worst. Dr. Larson was recommended to me when I first moved to the Portland area and didn't know where to start when it came to finding a doctor. I've been lucky enough to stay pretty healthy over the past few years, so I didn't have to see her often, but I don't think there was ever a time I walked out of her office thinking 'Wow, I'm so glad this woman is my health care provider.' The straw that broke this camel's back was a recent experience over the 4th of July holiday. I called the office on the 4th (which was a Thursday) and left a message, acknowledging the holiday and asking to please be called ASAP. I did not get a call until the following Wednesday, which is an eternity later when you're sick. The other staff her is generally uninterested and slightly unpleasant, and when I signed up for their online services I started getting spam emails and phone calls. In the time that I used Dr. Larson as my physician, she referred me to an incompetent ENT who retired a few weeks after seeing me (so glad I trusted my gut and got out of there before engaging in procedures that would have needed months of follow up). Maybe we're getting too personal now, but my point is that this was the worst doctor I've ever been to, and people shouldn't have to suffer through mediocre health care, especially when there are awesome doctors out there (and it's not like we don't pay for the visits).

I am kind of stunned to find such a negative review of this doctor here. Dr. Larson was my doctor…read morefor about 2 years when I was a professor living in Portland and I found her medical care to be excellent. I saw her on at least 5 occasions, and each time, I found her staff professional and pleasant. During examinations, she answered all of my questions thoughtfully, and I found her very personable in her interactions with me. Dr. Larson's style of care I would describe as non-interventionist and holistic: she was not eager to prescribe medications for every little thing, and she asked me a lot of questions not just about specific ailments but about my broader health and well-being. I wish I had written a review before I moved away from Portland since I would remember more specific details, but I truly miss her medical care and expertise. I found her superbly professional and knowledgeable. And this is a more minor issue, but I found the fact that her offices are located in the ground floor of a building that was formerly a large home very comforting. The examination rooms were all properly clinical, certainly, but the rooms had real furniture and were warm and comfortable. In some ways this felt like visiting a traditional family doctor. Medical care has become, if anything, too impersonal and clinical. I really appreciated how Dr. Larson took care to create an environment for her patients that felt more like a welcoming space for her practice. I really can't recommend her highly enough.
