Yelp is a always a good source for ratings on different businesses and services, so that is often the first place I check. A Caring Dentist was very close to me, and had mostly good reviews... so I made an appointment. I was on time for the appointment, filled out the needed paperwork, and they took me back. The gentleman that took my dental X-rays was very warm, and personable... and we hit it off pretty well. Just a really nice guy! Then Dr. Parasher came and introduced himself, and I was impressed! He really did make me feel welcome, and that he did indeed care! He did his part of the exam, and it was painless and well executed (I have been to several dentists in the past so know the routines!) I was told when I made the appointment that they might not be able to to a cleaning same day... and I was ok with that. They did the initial exam, and found they had time to do the cleaning... but I had to reschedule, since I needed to get back to work (lunch hour and all). So they set up another appt. for the following week. Staff is easy to work with... everyone is friendly, and they are also very professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Parasher to anyone needing a dentist. I look forward to my next appointment, and will update this review afterwards.

My 80-year-old father recently visited the office seeking a straightforward and affordable treatment plan. He currently has an upper denture and a lower partial with two remaining attachment teeth that need extraction. The goal was to create a new upper denture and a new lower implant-supported denture, with two implants intended to support and stabilize the new lower denture. We fully understood that he would require bone grafting beforehand due to significant bone loss. My father does not have dental insurance and trusted the office to provide an honest and appropriate treatment plan. Instead, he was presented with a proposal totaling nearly $26,000. As his daughter, and someone with extensive dental knowledge, I was honestly baffled after reviewing the treatment plan and panoramic X-rays. One of the most concerning issues was the use of dental code D7210, which is intended for the surgical removal of an erupted tooth requiring bone removal, tooth sectioning, or flap elevation. The office proposed using this code for the extraction of my father's two lower teeth and charged $419 per extraction under this surgical code. However, the panoramic X-ray and treatment plan clearly indicate that my father already has severe bone loss and requires bone grafting to preserve what little bone remains for future implant support. In this situation, using a surgical extraction code involving bone removal seems completely inappropriate when a simple extraction code could have been used instead. It felt less like patient-centered care and more like an attempt to maximize billing at the expense of an elderly patient who trusted their guidance. Sadly, this experience reinforced the growing concern many people have about large dental chains prioritizing production and overhead costs over honest, ethical treatment planning. I can only say that I am extremely disappointed in the handling of this case and in Dr. Smiley Jr. specifically. My father deserved transparency, compassion, a realistic treatment plan, and to be presented with alternative treatment options that could have better fit his age, condition, and financial situation not what felt like an excessive and unnecessary financial burden.

Think twice before using this dentist for anything other than cleaning. I don't ever write bad reviews but I will for this one. I am a business owner and I do a lot of videos and when I broke a tooth I immediately called my dentist Dr Creech. I went in and was told 2 options, a bridge or an implant. I had done an implant with them few years back everything went great. I am sitting in the chair with Novocaine shots and half out of it so when they said $2200 for an implant I agreed even though its a lot of money. Instead of scheduling me another day, this was valentines day they immediately proceeded to take my tooth out which I found odd that it happened so fast. I had paid $1000 at my last visit and when I walk in today to only get a flapper fake tooth, because I was told the implant could take months they wanted another $1200, I immediately said why would I pay you for the whole thing when it takes several months. The secretary proceeded to tell me they are done, this wasn't including the implant, this was just a tooth extraction and bone graft. WHY ON EARTH would I agreed to only have a front tooth removed with no implant, when I asked for an implant? I even mentioned I had commercials I had to do and wanted the implant done. I was the one that asked for a flapper tooth because I didn't want to wait a few months they told me it would take to do the whole implant. So now I am out $1000 and have my tooth removed and I don't even trust this company. I would have NEVER agreed to $2200 to be left like this, why would you not have quoted me the whole thing? I had called and got quote for tooth removal and implant $2500-$3000. You were going to charge me another $1500 for the implant. $4000 for one tooth, please run from this company!
