My anxiety for the dental office is extremely high. Most times I cry in the car and the whole vist. It's really bad. Most dentists have horrible bed side manners and just plan rude. Not Dr. Samantha Chou and staff. She walked me through everything I needed done. She's super sweet and very reassuring. She's gentle and caring. I feel absolutely comfortable in her care. Im going to guess I'm probably old fashioned. it's a professional & hygiene atmosphere. The few occasions when talks of personal topics about staff or there own lives during crucial dental project really brought about I'll feedings. And depending on the sucktion tool in my mouth which had me swallow no choice made me grieve the old dental chairs where we was given the options to rince and zip water even if not frequent so to speed up the process. it was my worse experience which I knew it wasn't going to be easy yet never thought it be that bad. There was occasion not mention but the beginning is enough to not want to proceed as the pains was more then physical which we expect but emotional to the point of not only wanting not to go there but also not want to trust any more dental procedure. Not that it doesn't look worth every Penny but the trauma and pain can't help but wonder if I would've been better off with denture. Dr. Chou did a crown and two dental fillings for me. I have an innate anxiety associated with the dental drill from its noise and vibration. I noticed that Dr. Chou uses only electric handpieces in the office and that lessened the noise and vibration quite a bit. I really appreciate her letting me take breaks and try to make me as comfortable as possible while getting my dental work done. I had a couple implants done by Dr Chou about 2 years ago. My first ones, so was nervous about the procedure. She Explained every step and showed X rays to understand the process. They are both great not a single issue Last week one of my old fillings came loose and a piece of tooth broke off on the molar next to the implant. My regular dentist said too much tooth was gone and would need a root canal & crown I called Dr Chou and they got me in early the next morning. Took X-rays and we're able to fill it with a mold screwed to my tooth. Can't even tell the filling is there. DrChou is awesome talented surgeon and I highly recommend. I went to Dr Chou for Invisalign braces and the reshaping of some of my lower teeth. The staff were courteous and welcoming, and Dr Chou took time to explain to me the various options before we proceeded. I am currently halfway through my treatment and each time I visit for a checkup I have had a similar positive experience. My teeth are starting to look great!
