I was kind of ambushed by these pushy salesmen at my front door. As soon as I said I would take a look at their stuff, they began to immediately open box after a box of frozen meat on my front porch. Then began all the dishonest sales pitches. First I had to buy almost $1000 worth of meat or not at all. Then they would allow me to buy a set of any type of meat for several hundred dollars. Then when I refused, they allowed me to buy one box of frozen fillets. When I asked where the meat was from, I got a vague answer like "good local producers". When I ask what the price per pound was, he said that I can't compare price per pound, because The meat has less water weight when frozen. Then he tried to tell me that the fillets can just be cooked from frozen which sounds gross. I finally bought a box of fillets for like $150. I grilled them the next day, and they were awful. They were random cuts with thin strands on some of them, and only like one good quality, thick cut. The whole thing was a joke and an attempt to rip me off. These salesmen clearly have no intention to return or keep me as a customer, so they were just trying to fleece me as hard as they could. read more

Door to door meat salesman named Lorn with the pitch of a missed delivery from one of my neighbors. I was pregnant and answered the door, my husband in the living room. We had just moved in and were watching a movie. He says he has some great meat and gets it out of his car and basically just walks right into my house past me and straight to my husband. Shows us all of the meat, then tells us what a great deal he would give us.. $1000! We told him no. So he tells us to just pick a few boxes and we will get a great deal. VERY pushy! We bought a few and were still charged $400! THEN HE ASKS FOR A TIP! TWICE!! The nerve! So we finally get him to leave and realized we probably just got scammed. We try the meat and it is AWFUL!! Super dry and rubbery. I call and tell them how terrible it is and I wanted a refund. I am told they will exchange it for different meat.. He comes back and exchanges the chicken, not steak (which is also terrible) for chicken from a different person? Along with some pork.. He leaves and there is no difference in this new chicken or pork.. it's all terrible.. All tastes like rubber. Then over the news couple months he keeps calling and leaving voicemails and texting me.. asking when I want more meat, saying he's in my area etc. I ignore every call and text but this guy can't take a hint. One day he comes to my house and calls me twice and texts me. Then knocks on my door and rings my doorbell. Note: I have a sign on my door saying do not knock or ring the doorbell because I have a newborn sleeping! He disregards my sign and rings and knocks multiple times anyways!! I do not answer as it's just me and my baby. He texts saying oh I saw your sign but didn't want to knock or ring because your baby but I'm in the neighborhood and thought you might need some meat. Liar, I saw him knock and ring my bell.. I text him no we are fine and don't want any and moving forward we will no longer be purchasing from him. No reply, figures. Lorn is an excellent salesman. I bought burgers and filet mignon. THE BEST. After 4 years of the best meats ever, I moved to Ramona! And today, quite by accident, Lorn stopped with the Prime Selection trucK! What a treat. We reconnected and I have a frig full of burgers, filet mignon, ribeye steak and AHI TUNA! Finally got a guy on the phone but they will not offer any sort of refund just an exchange which in my opinion is pretty crappy but hey, they got their $180 (cash no less). We have a prominent No Soliciting sign on our home, and when asked, this fellow could not produce a soliciting permit from the San Diego Police Department, but instead took off in his truck. I went back and checked my security footage, and confirmed that this guy was not making a delivery, but instead drove up my street slowly, must have seen my daughter's open window, parked next door, and then walked up around the side of my house and driveway to peek in the open window. We bbq'd exact same cuts of meat and I most definitely could tell a difference. If you want the convenience of door to door sales, then prime is alright. I'm typically very skeptical of anyone coming to my home to "sell" and had my doubts, but due to number of times we kept hearing about this "Prime Selection" particularly the fact that the meat is grass fed, organic and farm raised, we decided to check it out. With the experiences we have had, I just had to go on here and leave a review. (I'll be posting this on Google too; where I usually do my reviews) The result: we couldn't be more satisfied and happy with this company. Not only is there a huge variety of choices, but the prices are totally reasonable and the quality has definitely exceeded all our expectations. Our favorite part is our personal customer service rep Joel Sandoval, who I like to call my "go-to meat guy". He has been professional and perfect in every way. Joel has never been that "pushy sales guy" we all fear so much, and has been very genuine, informative and helpful, even tailoring our orders to our specific needs. I had explained to Joel that our budget, since Covid was tight, but that its important to limit trips to the store due to exposure. Joel reassured our family of prompt deliveries and an affordable package which included his seafood, steak, and chicken package deal and he has followed through impeccably! I have to say with great enthusiasm the meat is so super tender and tastes so great!!! My husband is very happy and the kids are too, and we all know kids can be picky eaters -but not anymore in our household.
