The design of Born and Raised is absolutely gorgeous. Every detail of the restaurant feels thoughtfully designed, from the stylish dining rooms to the impressive bar. The atmosphere is especially beautiful in the evening and definitely adds to the overall experience. The biggest disappointment for me was the steak. It looked great, but the flavor was just average and didn't match the high expectations or the price. I've had much better steaks at other steakhouses. If you're looking for a beautiful restaurant with a luxurious atmosphere, this is a great choice. Just don't expect the steak to be the highlight of the evening.

Came here to celebrate my wedding anniversary. It was really posh. Ambiance was warm and intimate. Tables can be a little too close. Seats were very firm. Staff was nice and knowledgeable to the menu, dessert and drinks. Food was great. I enjoyed the steak. Perfectly cooked. The surprising dish was their fresh Caesar salad made in front of you. I really enjoyed the dressing. The Mac and cheese had a different taste than what I'm used to. Maybe more sophisticated lol. More like a sharp, horseradishy tangy taste. Bread crumbs were a good touch. The dessert was lovely, had the bananas foster, and the tiramisu cheesecake. I preferred the bananas foster but would have preferred no actual flame. It charred the layer of meringue a bit. But everything else was divine.

Came back to try the full menu on mother's day! It was AMAZING. The uni pasta had to have been the highlight of the hot starters. I went with the Dry Aged 20oz bone in ribeye, man, it was delicious! We also opted for a side of dirty hashbrowns and king crab. These were a delight to eat aside of our steaks. The bananas foster baked Alaska was to die for! We wish we had more! Service is also top notch, they are attentive and really ensure your service is going as planned. Thank you for making mother's day dinner great!

Came here for my birthday. They ask if there's anything you're celebrating and really cater to the occasion. Special menu with my name on it and my espresso martini also said happy birthday. Super pretty inside and the seats were comfortable. We had a small table for two and shared the beef tartare. Also got the steak sampler for two with mushrooms, broccolini and Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. Would definitely come back again!

Make a reservation (on the top floor, if you can) so you don't miss out if they're fully booked. Amazing customer service, friendly and professional. Ordered New York strip, ribeye, dirty hash browns, and broccolini everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Bars on both floors and restrooms only on top floor. Stunning views (top floor) of the city and fresh air while you eat.

My partner and I had a 7 pm reservation and arrived about five minutes early, but we still had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated. What made it a little confusing was that once we were seated, the section had multiple open tables already available. Fortunately, the night improved from there. The restaurant is pretty dimly lit, so keep that in mind, but it creates a relaxing atmosphere. The music was also something you wouldn't typically expect from a steakhouse, and I actually appreciated that since it matched the vibe of the restaurant well. We started with the "tableside" Caesar, which, unfortunately, was not prepared tableside, but it was still good. For our mains, we both ordered the NY strip, and both steaks were cooked perfectly. To go alongside them, we ordered the broccolini, dirty hash browns, and truffle fries. All of the sides were solid, but the dirty hash browns were definitely my favorite of the three. We also got to try all of the steak sauces they offered, which was a nice bonus to the meal.

Best pork chop I have had in my life!!!! Bone in Pork Chop done to a true medium rare. Most places don't offer and a lot of people scared of undercooked pork but there's nothing else like it. If you do it with high quality pork and a place that knows what they're doing. Bone In Ribeye was amazing as well. Cooked perfectly. Horseradish sauce was good but I would prefer it a bit more spicy. They had a bone in New York which you don't see too often so would try next time. Dirty hash is def worth it. Brocollini really good as well. Fries good hut you can get that anywhere so pass for next time. Appetizers were oysters, steak tartare and Caesar salad. Past reviews say steak tartare was table side. This one was not. All were OK but will try snails next time and order an extra side. Ambiance very nice. We had table on rooftop. Service was very good but a little slow for me. Overall this is probably favorite steakhouse now and def must go when in SD

Truly a delightful experience. Steak Diane was spot on, as was the French Onion soup and the bread. See the photos 4 ur self. The Mac and cheese was scrumptious, as was the Baked Alaska. Excellent service, very attentive, every five minutes they inquire about our needs and satisfaction. Certainly will return, and easy on the wallet too.

This is my second time here and first time with my wife as our celebratory dinner for getting married on the 22nd. The ambiance was amazing especially being on the rooftop having that indoor/outdoor vibe. It was relaxing and lively at the same time! The food from beginning to end was amazing, but the dessert and the steak (which of course is what the restaurant is known for) really were the stars of the show! Our server was also A1! But he did tell us he was leaving the company after years of work but thank you so much Johnathan as well as the amazing food runners and ladies in front as well for being so sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back for more amazing meals and I think everyone should go try this place as well!

Consistently excellent -- perfect for special occasions We celebrated a yearly tradition at this steakhouse (we've been coming since they opened in 2018) and had another fantastic experience. Allison took care of us at the bar on an extremely busy night -- attentive, friendly, and efficient; she never missed a beat. We started with the bone marrow and Burgundy snails -- rich, well-seasoned, and delicious. As the night got busier we chatted with the manager, Jose, and mentioned our celebration. He went above and beyond, moving us to a nicer table upstairs where the entire team continued to provide stellar service. For mains we shared the ribeye steaks (perfectly cooked, great flavor), the dirty hashbrowns (crispy and savory), and finished with the famous carrot cake -- a sweet, satisfying end to the meal. Atmosphere: lively and warm, even on a packed night. Service: exceptional -- attentive bar staff and proactive management. Food: high-quality steaks and standout starters/desserts. Would I go back? Absolutely -- reliable spot for special occasions.

Been here a few times, but this was my first time during Happy Hour, which is seated upstairs only. HH runs weekdays from 3:00-4:30 PM. We had an incredible server, Clint, who was genuinely one of the main reasons I'd come back. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable without ever being pushy, a rare and much-appreciated balance. We ordered a good mix from the menu: $9 Dirty Tots $9 Charcoal-roasted oysters $4 "shitty" chef-driven slider $5 Philly cheesesteak $10 New York skewers $29.99 Cava & caviar Standouts for me were the oysters, dirty tots, and sliders all excellent and absolutely worth re-ordering. Portions are on the smaller side, but everything is beautifully presented, so plan on ordering multiple plates if you're sharing or hungry. As expected with CH projects, the space itself is stunning stylish, well designed, and a great atmosphere for happy hour.

I love it here. Hands down, one of the best happy hours and always delicious bites. Service with the server last night was slow re: drinks and food - he also tried to get us to order more for the table unnecessarily. A little ick. But my other experiences have been great so I'll chuck last night up to poor service from just one particular guy. The table side martini is a super fun experience. Recommend!

We've been coming to Born and Raised for quite some time now, and every experience continues to exceed expectations. No matter what we order, everything comes out perfectly and reflects the high standards this place is known for. What truly makes this restaurant stand out for us, however, is the exceptional hospitality and bar experience provided by Clint. His cocktails are nothing short of impressive; expertly crafted, and consistently the best drinks we've had anywhere. Beyond his talent behind the bar, Clint's welcoming personality and attentiveness are what keep us coming back. Clint is truly a standout bartender and an enormous asset to Born and Raised. Great food brings us in, but the outstanding service and amazing cocktails keep us loyal customers. 100% customer service at its absolute finest.

Is any of your meat from Creekstone Farms still?

Yeah as it's a steak house they have a ton of things that are gluten free. They don't have gluten free bread however

Depends on steak you order, but they are good sized. The sides are enough for 2-3 people to share.

Is the champagne cart available? If so, how much is it?

For me it was! The price depends on what champagne/rosé you get! I got a rosé and believe it was $17, my boyfriend picked a champagne and it was $20.

Right away when we arrived I noticed that the flooring on the revolving fireplace looked like it needed to be replaced. I shrugged it off thinking they needed light weight materials for the revolving floor entrence. But I didn't think it was a good look for what is supposed to be a swanky exclusive vibe and being the first thing you really see. ( First impressions are important) Despite having made a reservation, we were seated directly between the revolving entrence and the exit, in the two coolest looking but most uncomfortable chairs. They were not practical at all for sitting and conversing a in a loud environment. That corner, in my opinion, should be reserved for the hostess and not for guest. Initially we thought these chairs were a quick stop before being moved to some of the other available sitting at the bar or around the perimeter we could clearly see when we came in. We asked, and where told those were our seats. No offer was made to be moved. We did not get a server to come to us until after we had placed our drink order with one of the hostess, about 20min after we were seated. Our server was very nice and polite. No issues there, just took long to get to us. The drinks were disappointing. Forgettable to say the least. We ordered one of there menu items and a Moscow mule. We were sad to see the Moscow mule served in a glass you might normally get a mojito in ... it wasn't served in a copper cup. As we sat there and looked at the place, we both thought the ambiance and decor was nice. However we were surprised to see so many people looked very underdressed considering they have a "smart casual" dress code, completely destroyed the whole swanky exclusive vibe. Lots of men in shorts and both men and women in flip flops. I also noticed the flooring inside the speakeasy had similar wear and scuff marks, as on the fireplace. The need to update their flooring and the amount of underdressed guest did not help project the vibes that they are going for. This really felt like a fast food (drinks) chain in any mall. Sadly I would not recommend, do to the drinks not being all that good, the service was mediocre, the "vibe" and experience they sell fall short.
