Recently made a cross country move and rented an 8x7x6 foot POD unit to pack up my studio…read moreapartment. Our POD was delivered on schedule to the Middletown location (actually a day earlier than the estimate I was given). I called ahead a few days ago to ask if I could access the contents of my POD and was able to schedule it later in the week to go retrieve my items. At least for this location, the PODs can be accessed between 8am-3pm. When you arrive, you can call the number on the front door and someone will come help move your POD storage box outside with a lil truck--just make sure you bring your key! The manager (whose name I believe was Jim) was super helpful the day my dad and I tried to access my POD. We struggled to open up the pull gate (some furniture had moved in transit and jammed the door) and Jim helped us even push the box open and troubleshoot. Moving is extremely painful, so we were super grateful for his help!

Well, guess what: they close on the weekends so no one answered my frantic calls. I emailed, texted, called and even stayed on hold for an hour. I scrambled to come up with plan B. Thankfully, UHAUL also has containers and are WAY LESS EXPENSIVE. Then PODS had the nerve to call me to confirm pickup on Monday morning for TWO containers!!!! Working with this company was THEE most stressful aspect of my move. NEVER AGAIN.

Sure it's clean, well-maintained, and most importantly well-lit, but it's the customer service that can make all the difference. And Vicky at SDE really goes the extra mile. We had very particular needs and she went out of her way to find us a storage room that fit all our requirements. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. She takes the time to explain her answers, and she doesn't talk down to you. Months later I'm still glad we chose Storage Depot East. And amusingly, we found it was a lot more convenient than we thought because it's "easy-off" and "easy-on" Route 322 near Walmart in Harrisburg. Keep up the good work Vicky.

Easy in and out, paved interior roads, gravel sites. Some sites slope front to back a bit, but a level spot can be found. Quiet unless you are in the sites near 283 (higher numbered sites on each row). Clean pool, easy turns and clearances for big rigs. Delighted to visit again when touring the area.

My air conditioner couldn't even drown out the noise. I got minimal sleep. I didn't try the pool. The bathroom/showers were nice. Unlevel campsites, the septic and water sat WAY back from the pad.. If it weren't for the hwy noise I would of stayed longer. I wont return because of that. The city is nearby, its an URBAN campground..Pine trees that drip pitch :(

Facilities are clean. Heather at the front desk is incredibly helpful. And while not having 24/7…read moreaccess is inconvenient at times, the added security mostly makes up for that. But -1 for hidden fees (namely insurance and administrative fee) and -1 for not prorating my rent when I moved from one shed to a smaller unit. I still had about half the month paid for on the larger ($200/month) unit, had to pay in full for the smaller unit ($75/month) and then didn't even get the money back for the unused portion of the rent for the larger unit.

Staff was very helpful in setting up space for my RV. Good prices and facility is nice.read more
