Here is a place for anyone who was to take a blast back to there childhood past…read more Parking- Shared parking lot with other businesses. Outside view- Windows are covered with Marvel, DC, Pokémon, etc. comicbook covers....really inviting. Service- Upon entering, we where greeted immediately, always a great thing. Everyone was helpful and nice. Inside- Wall to wall stuff... posters, toys, childhood lunchboxes, action figures, DVDs, etc., and ofcourse comicbooks for days. It is a older store, so don't expect department store organization but they do have a system. Walking through made me smile and brought back memories. I was a comicbook, action figure kind of girly(I had Barbie dolls also). Merchandise- I swear if you think of it, they probably will have it or can get it. The have a area with comicbooks that are sold in a set(that's what my son choice). There is a area with current comics. If you're a collector(I didn't know how expensive a collectable could be) they probably have it. That back wall to the right has comics I didn't know were comics, I seen that they also buy your action figures and I would assume other things collectible worthy. Prices- My son picked one of there comicbook sets(10-12) and I picked 3 Betty and Veronica comics... total was around 30 to 38 dollars. I definitely would recommend stopping in... me and my son enjoyed our time there.

This place has everything. The comic selection is vast and the prices vary: they have a $2 selection, $5 selection and of course more expensive comics. Everything is nearly organized and at times overwhelming because there is truly such a large section that you could thumb through these for hours. The toys! Wow, so many i haven't seen in years or ever. I did find some of the pricing to be a little steep, but i suppose its supply and demand. Everything again was nearly organized and structured by specific genre, group. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. They were super knowledgeable and just plain ol' nice. I can't wait to make this my regular comic book shop in the future. I spent a bunch of money and I'm sure I'll spend a bunch more.

3.10.20: Independent book stores surviving & thriving! I was thrilled to pop into Macon's Gottwal's…read moreBooks right before they closed & totally blown away by their inventory: books of all genres as well as charming childrens' and gifts' sections. Their local authors section is extensive as well. And of course the sight of baptismal & choir robes in a book store? Intrigued me immensely. Huh?! Gottwal's merged with a local Christian bookstore so they just happen to carry all your religious paraphernalia... I inquired about their local author book presentations and they informed me that the woman in charge of that works at their original store in Warner Robins. Yay! That's where I grew up. I had no clue that the first Gottwal's originated there & is in the old C & S Bank building, of all places, b/c we used to use that bank, back in the day. A few days later, I trekked down to Warner Robins location to see what I could see. This location is two stories & is filled to the brim with all kinds of titles, games, gifts, etc. Thank you to Macon staff who provided me with comprehensive info even though I got there 15 minutes before closing! Rather than trying to rush me out, they were hospitable & kind, no doubt appreciating another bibliophile. I hope people continue patronizing local businesses, especially book stores, versus always ordering from Amazon out there. Local businesses create & support community & we need more of that, imo.

This is a great bookstore for children's books. Traditional folklore books, magical realism books,…read morefantasy books, wizard books, greek mythology books, chase a rabbit down a hole books, adventures books, chasing dragon books, sleuth books, fairy tales books, how to books, hobby books for children, modestly priced books and many different authors for expanding little minds. My highly literate and studious youngest daughter adores the children's book selections. Nice and friendly staff. Yes, they are very kind with the little children of middle earth...I mean, middle Georgia. And, thank you for the beautiful mural of books.
