I had wax in my ears I went in at 7:00 I was out by 8:00. From the receptionist to the nurse to the PA or doctor everyone was great I do not understand the bad reviews here maybe it was just a bad day for you all but I was very pleased with the care that I got today. I felt very comfortable coming here. Some medical personnel doctors and nurses treat a person as a patient and they do not see the person as a human being first I felt that they saw me as a person here any person that they were able to help not a a patient that they were able to order what to do. read more

Completely incompetent PA. First of all, I brought my 6 and 8 yo in this afternoon. We were the ONLY ones there. After about 10 minutes a couple of people walked in. It still took us almost 45 min to be seen by the PA. She seemed inexperienced and didn't know what type of rash my boys had or what type of medication would be best to treat them. She sent us back to the lobby to wait for paperwork. Another 30 minutes goes by. Grabbed the paperwork, made a short pit stop and headed to the pharmacy. Almost 30 minutes later, arrived to the pharmacy and they hadn't received the order yet. Fine, I'll waste more time with my at this point anxious children. Pharmacy called me to make me aware that the PA ordered large capsules for my YOUNG children to take 3x a day instead of liquid antibiotics. What?! Went back and forth with the clinic for HOURS after. Finally nearly 3 hours later and multiple phone calls, the PA finally took the time to call in the appropriate script. Mind you, I had chosen this specific pharmacy bc it was closest to the clinic at that time in town, but I actually live in the foothills. So my husband had to wait hours to be able to pick it up, as I could not take back out 3 young children across town. I'll never be back at this clinic and will be taking children to their pediatrician tomorrow for a second opinion as I have zero faith in this PA and clinic. read more

It's hard to get into a doctor's office in Yuma in less than 9 days I recommend coming to Urgent Care. You will have to wait, but the wait is less than it will be in the emergency department at Yuma Regional Medical Center. I had swollen tonsils and was seen in less than 10 minutes. I got a rapid test for Strep A, got positive results five minutes later, and left with a prescription. It was great. The facility is clean. Staff is friendly. I'll be back the next time I'm sick. Much easier than trying to get into a doctor's office. read more

Referred here from our medical coverage for one of our daughters. A clean lobby, only a few other patients...mid-afternoon timeframe. Both the nurse and doctor who took care of her; courteous kind and efficient. The only out-of-pocket we had to pay was $12, our medical coverage took care of the rest. Nice! Not to make a habit of coming here, but yeah it worked for us. Less wait than the big Yuma hospital, so....yeah. read more

I called in to ask about the wait time & if they did X-rays at this location & from the start the person that answered the phone Breauna was soo nice & courteous & helpful ... & customer service is practically non existent in Yuma. She took her time & helped me & was not rude or trying to rush me off the phone. I told her I would call later to see if the wait time would be less ... & so I did & a gentleman answered the phone & he was just as nice as her... very helpful & professional... the staff that tended to my daughter were on point & fast.. Have you ever wanted to wait for hours in an empty waiting room to be seen for a potentially life-threatening issue? Want a place where the front desk staff openly talks crap about you while you wait? How about where the licensed nurse techs spend more of your treatment time rolling their eyes and sighing and leaving the room than they do actually treating you? Well, this is the place for you! Came in with my brother and his girlfriend, who was experiencing severe nausea, vomiting, and acute dehydration. We waited in a nearly empty waiting room for hours. We filled out twice the normal amount of paperwork because the two plump Hispanic women behind the counter were too lazy to fill in the part that said "To be filled in by office staff only" and insisted that we do it while they talked trash about people in Spanish - which they promptly began to do about my brother's gf because she kept painfully dry-heaving. I guess they didn't realize we speak Spanish. After they finished trashing her, they started talking crap about a Puerto Rican woman that called in, and then about Puerto Ricans in general. Lovely. When she was finally seen, two techs came out to bring her to the back room. The one in training apparently knew my brother and was the only person who bothered to ask how she was feeling. The other guy took one look at her and rolled his eyes so hard I thought he was going to have a seizure. An hour later, they still hadn't finished "treating" her (read: letting her puke her guts out into a bucket while they refused to do blood tests or even give her an IV for dehydration), and they were too lazy to dump out her puke bucket which was close to overflowing. I mean, who needs sanitary conditions in the medical workplace anyway, amirite? After another hour, they gave her an anti-nausea shot and sent her on her way, but within 8 hours we had to take her to the ER at YRMC to get all of the blood tests and IVs that PrimeCare refused to give her. I can't believe that this place has so many positive reviews, but I guess it makes sense when you note that all of them are in a suspiciously similar format and that one of the "hidden" reviews starts out almost identically to one of the featured 5-star reviews. Came in to get a check up for a toe, waited for about 3 hours in the lobby and an hour in a room in the back. A "nurse practitioner" then proceeds to come in look at my toe from afar for about 30 seconds, say I should just soak it in epson salt even though I told her I was already doing that. When told that she says I can prescribe you antibiotics just in case. Wtf is that kind of service. read more

There was good news about my weekend visit to PrimeCare on the "Big Curve" in Yuma and there was bad news. The Good News: I was seen shortly after arrival by an X-ray tech who noted my history and took images of my hand that was swollen from a work injury trauma sustained at home. The radiological report came back within a half hour indicating no fractures. The Bad News: The medical assessment and advice provided by the PA, Mr. Hussain, was incorrect. He indicated that the increased warmth of my hand was a result of an infection, even though there was no sign of puncture or skin breakage. He went on to say that I needed to receive IV anti-biotics that only the YRMC Emergency Department (ED) could provide. (PrimeCare does not do invasive procedures like the insertion of IVs). He ignored the possibility that the heat generated was a normal result of trauma. He reported in my discharge paperwork that I had upper limb cellulitis, which was not obvious to me. He referred me to the YRMC ED. Upon arrival at the ED, I was assessed by a triage nurse (RN). He confirmed that the PA's assessment was incorrect. My injury was considered to be an extremely low priority, non-life threatening, and maybe a physician would see me in about 8 hours! He advised that I home treat the injury with elevation, ice, and heat. I chose to go home and follow the nurse's advice. A week later, the swelling, heat and pain are gone; no signs of infection. Summary: I found out that the YRMC ED prefers that patients who have non-life-threatening injuries go to urgent care, not come to them. In my judgement, the ability to assess minor trauma injuries by the PA on duty that night was poor. Furthermore, his reason for sending me to the ED (for presumed infection) was not written down in the discharge documentation. I needlessly wasted a lot of time that evening. Clearly, the urgent care facility has good radiological service, but the medical interpretation and subsequent intervention is questionable. read more

I have gone to this Urgent care for both injuries and illness and never had to wait more than 35 minutes. The staff seemed caring, competent, and kind. If possible go to Urgent Care instead of the hospital as you will be seen much faster and for less (I also went there when my doctor couldn't see me till more than a week out...) read more

I've had to come here twice, once a year ago for my sprained foot and ankle. I had hurt it before it healed, and they were awesome. Tonight I went in with an upper respiratory, and they got me in and out quick. The staff is friendly, and even as busy as they were, there wasn't a grumpy person to be found. I hate being sick, but if I can't get in to see my doctor, this is the place I trust. read more

So far my experience​ with the medical profession in Yuma has sucked to be honest. But even in​ my few months here​ I sometimes find myself needing medical care. The clinic I normally go to in the Foothills moved into a new building and wasn't opened yet so I drove to this place in the Big Curve Shopping Center. The first thing you'll notice is the lack of cleanliness and maintenance of the place. The second thing was how bored everyone seemed with their jobs. I didn't get a doctor. I got a Nurse Practioner. She had no clue what to do to help me. She tried to suggest Grandmas kitchen type remedies. If I wanted that I would have stayed home. She then tried to pretend she knew better than my specialist in the field who I've been seeing for ten years. I laughed at her and then started to get annoyed when she suggested since she couldn't 'see' it it must be in my mind. Do yourself a favor, if you have more than something they can treat with Tylenol​, go to a real doctor. read more
