The owners of this company work very hard to make it a good moving company. They will pay you for…read moredamages to your property, however we prefer not to have any. The owner even debated with me over some of the damage as the crew member denied it. We felt that they use nice polite workers that appear to work hard. However, there was no crew leader and it was a free for all loading and unloading our belongings. We had everything packed and marked as to where it should be placed in the new home, it just didn't happen 50% of the time unless we were on top of them constantly. Young guys that seem to have this as a way to make a living and no skin in the game, so to speak. Having said all this, we enjoyed talking with them and actually was able to gift them quite a few pieces of belongings we couldn't keep and helped them personally. I touched based with them the next day around 1:30 and confirmed they were coming. Josh called me a short while later to let me know they were running a bit behind and would be there around 3:30 or so. I really appreciated them letting me know. HOWS stands for Houses of Wood and Straw and we, at HOWS, partner with our all-volunteer builder work force which includes local schools' carpentry classes, Boy and Girl Scout Troops, youth mentoring groups, and animal-loving adult volunteer carpenters. Our Project partners build HOWS designed wooden doghouses and HOWS supplies the lumber and other needed amenities for outside dogs (and the occasional goat, cat, pig). Our field team then delivers and places these doghouses at various pre-determined locations to provide needed shelter for outdoor dogs during the heat in summer and the cold in winter and during all inclement weather. We typically have several completed doghouses of various sizes to pick up at the end of each building season and early in June of this year was no exception. Also notable is that HOWS only owns 3 vehicles which we are happy to have but it does present some significant challenges when there are several doghouses ready to be picked up and a limited number of volunteers available to drive, load, and unload the houses at our storage facility. For the third time in only one year's time, Paul Breaud and his great teammates at Charlottesville Moving Solutions (CMS), have stepped up and provided a crew and truck to pick up all of the 36 completed doghouses (some cat houses too), and this was done totally at CMS' EXPENSE!! And, after picking up all of the houses, the CMS crew delivered them to our storage facility and unloaded them there so that our field team can take and place them for some needy pups and kitties in our area. The ice storm last January and the heavy rains and escalating gas prices this spring presented a formidable challenge to CMS' moves that were already scheduled for their clients. Nevertheless, Paul and his CMS team still did not hesitate to reserve a day for HOWS to pick up all of the completed dog and cat houses and to deliver them to our storage facility so that our field team can get them in place for our 4-legged friends. As always, we, at the HOWS Project have been so moved and grateful to Paul and his entire CMS team for their unwavering and enthusiastic support of our mission at HOWS!! And, also, we want to send out our very special and heartfelt THANKS to the fantastic and very strong CMS crew of Ty and Michael who braved the extreme heat to pick up all 36 houses and to deliver and unload them at our HOWS storage facility which they did in less than 6 hours .... AMAZING!!

I'd hired them to unload a moving truck into a storage space. When I opened the storage unit, my heart sank because it looked way too small. But they didn't bat an eye... not only did they get everything in there, they did it in a way that everything was as accessible as possible. My advice is to always hire Flash Moving Services, and never challenge them to Tetris! :)
