So after looking at every glass carrier in the state, I finally found a windshield for my 1970 Oldsmobile Delta 88 at Primos Auto Glass on NW 23rd Street in Oklahoma City. Buyers Beware that this is the type of work you can expect from them. I called probably 8 times to verify the condition of the glass to finally be told that I would have to come up in person for them to even pull it from the warehouse.. okay, not a problem. I drove to Oklahoma City from Calumet and upon arrival was told that I would have to wait an hour and a half for them to get back with the windshield. I was also informed that due to the limited availability of the glass that they wouldn't begin the prep work on the car until the new windshield was back and inspected. Alrighty... I guess I now have nothing to do today but sit up here and wait, So be it. After a much longer wait time than originally anticipated the glass finally gets there and surprisingly it's the right one and has everything I need for an original OEM look. I'm excited and tell them to proceed with the repair only to be told that I would have to come back tomorrow to complete the repair since it was closing time and the vehicle hasn't been started yet. What? WooSah... it is what it is. I'll just drop it off on my way to work tomorrow since today was my only day off and I guess just call me when it's done. I drop it off and receive absolutely no update until I get the call that it's finished. I pickup my car and I pay my bill, nothing was said to me outside of what I was being charged for and how much was due. I see that they have taped the windshield off, interesting since the chrome should clip back into place and hold the windshield... but not an issue. I go home and I wait to pull to tape off as instructed to discover that my wrap has been cut on both pillars on either side of my windshield and before you ask... yes I checked the tape and no it isn't there. Great!! Now this not so cheap wrap is absolutely trash, I can live with it and I can fix it.. Hell I can even fix the antenna wire they just cut to take out the old windshield and decided that they were not going to reconnect whatsoever. I will tell you what I can't fix though and that is the fact that I have the Nile flowing through my windshield. I was assured over and over that they knew how to install the windshield and was given a guarantee that it wouldn't leak, when I called to address the issue I was told that I would have to bring the car in again on another day off for them to "Look at it and see if they can fix it". When asked anything about the installation I was met with " I don't know Sir, I will have to ask the technician". I'm honestly at a loss for words and am willing to take any advice I can get at this point, however I find it important to share my experience so hopefully I can save someone else the heartache.

I'm very dissatisfied with this install it took a very long time to get done as well as a completely shitty job done I spent too much money

This appears to coincide with chatter online about manufacturing defects in some Hyundai Tucson windshields. I made the decision to just replace the windshield, since a previous price quote from Stop-a-Crack was very reasonable. I showed up at Stop-a-Crack first thing Saturday morning, with no appointment, and they were able to replace the windshield the same day! Once again, I was greeted by the extremely friendly, furry, and attention-seeking auto technician, Chip, who disguises himself as a chocolate lab. I left my car in their capable hands and within a few hours, I had a beautiful, brand-new windshield. The workmanship was perfect. My friend recently had a windshield replaced, and the work was sloppy. Not the case with my new windshield. It honestly looks cleaner than the original windshield. Well worth the money! March 7, 2026: Allow me to be the umpteenth person to leave a well-deserved 5-star review for Stop-A-Crack Windshield Crack Repair and Replacement. As a first-time customer of this shop, I can see why it gets so many fantastic reviews. First off, I was greeted at the door by the bestest boy - the shop owner's chocolate lab. He put me right to work giving him pets and scritches and playing some tug of war. The owner, Chris Grubb, quickly assessed my windshield crack, which was probably a little more than 12" long. I was convinced it would require a full windshield replacement, but they were able to do a repair for $75. Their cost for windshield replacement would have been around $600, which is a lot less than competitors; however, a repair got me back on the road. I was in and out within 30 minutes, and the repair looks great! It's slightly visible, which Chris let me know up-front that it would be, but it is barely noticeable. Since I'm sure I'm destined for another crack in the future, this gets me by until a full replacement is absolutely necessary. The technician that did the work was very friendly, pulling my car up to the door and giving me a quick run-down of the work. The owner even included a small patch with the receipt that I can slap on any new chips or cracks, to keep moisture out until it's repaired. This is a safe shop for everyone. I noticed quickly that they had a colorful sign in the window saying all are welcome. Everyone here, from the owner, to the technician, to the dog, were fantastic! Only the dog requires scritches, though. Don't pet the owner. lol. I will definitely be a repeat customer, should the situation arise.
