I've moved out of Miami and really miss this place. What I like: you can make an appt online with barber of your choice, they are extremely diligent with keeping appointment times, the atmosphere is perfect, prices are extremely reasonable, individual TV's at every station, and they offer a full range of every imaginable barber service. Ask for Rosie she is awesome, she knows how to use razors as well as cut hair perfectly. Oh yeah, good espressos! Every barber shop should be like this one. If you own a barber shop, look what Primos is doing, and do that. read more

Found this place almost by accident. I had seen a guy holding a sign advertising them on us1 several times but never paid it much thought... Anyway, on a Sunday morning I decided I wanted a fresh cut since I had an interview the next day. Turns out Primos was one of the few places open and accepting walk-ins. First impressions were great; the shop is immaculate and very well appointed with classic chairs, a checkerboard and wood floor, and small tvs in each booth. Jota happened to be free and offered to cut my hair (was going from messy mid length "surfer" cut to something more clean). He spent a solid 40 minutes cutting it and I couldn't have been more pleased. I've bounced around from shop to shop in the south Miami area and had yet to find a consistently good place or barber. Anyhow, I told Jota and Danny that I was going for an interview and the next morning Danny (an owner) took the time to wish me good luck via text - a really nice touch. I've since had 4 or 5 cuts (all from Jota, and have changed hairstyles entirely to a clean fade with mid-length top that can be pushed up in front) and have been very impressed each time. All the barbers seem to take their time (even with people that are clearly walk-ins) and in my opinion everyone leaves looking a lot better than when they went it! Free soda/water is also a nice touch. Be sure and check out their products as well, I opted for some reasonably priced shampoo and am really considering buying a bottle of jack black cologne on my next visit... Expect to spend upwards of $30(with tip) but it is well worth it! You can also get just a trim for about $10 less in between full cuts. read more

I heard about Primos from my Barber Robert and I'm glad I followed him here. Robert is always accommodating and is willing to do what it takes to get make sure I have a fresh cut each and every week. I recently came back to Primos after moving from the area and can I say it feels good to be back. Primos Barbershop has made the whole process so easy for their clients. Unlike other shops where you have to walk in and ask each barber how many people they have waiting. At Primos you can call in where Christina can help set you up with an appointment or use their very user friendly online reservation program. I tried different barbers until I found Rosie she is absolutely the best and doesn't make you feel like you're just another person there to get their hair cut. Every time I walk in I am offered a bottle of water, soda or espresso which you rarely see followed by Rosie greeting and heading straight to the chair to get started. I have never left disappointed after a hair cut and I would recommend Primos to anyone who is tired of their current barbershop and looking to change. read more

There are other Primo's in Miami, but this is THE Primo of primos. Classically trained barbers who take pride in their work. You're offered a refreshment while waiting or being tended to. The place is clean, new and readily located. Fast and free WiFi if you want to bring your laptop. The staff is friendly and makes one and all feel welcome. Pretty awful experience. The barber didn't know how to cut hair at all. Kept cutting hair here and there as he pleased and didn't really understand what I wanted. His machine kept getting jammed so it kept pulling my hair and he didn't really care too much. Didn't know how to wash hair since he ultimately had to wipe the shampoo off with a wet towel. Only good thing is that the place is nice, but quality is the same as it is at a cheap Hialeah hair salon. Not worth the 24 dollars. Awful experience. read more

But they have a barber called Frank, which I would never recommend , he has a bad attitude towars customers, and he is not competent cutting hair. This place is absolutely absurd! Never coming here again!!! I made an appointment online 3 days prior and found there to be PLENTY OF AVAILABLE TIME SLOTS. The day comes for me to come in and get my haircut. Mind you I live 20 minutes away so this is not a neighborhood barbershop for me. It's a bit of a hike in traffic. I'm about 8 minutes late and I get a call from the barber shop. The hostess explains to me that I'm late (as if I'm going to work or something commanding me) and says that they are gonna have to rush my haircut!!! WHAT!!!! How could you say that too a customer! 25 dollars for a haircut and you say to me that for being 10 minutes late your gonna have to rush my haircut because they were booked! That's garbage! I checked and there was more then plenty of time slots available but I didn't say anything and said that I was gonna be there in less then 10 minutes. She then proceeds to ask me exactly where I was located as if she was some sort of Sargent. I explained that I was a couple of blocks away and hung up. I finally arrive and find parking (mind you this shopping center is a mad house. I mean whoever invented this parking lot must of not been the smartest of people) and I run inside exhausted and stressed from the journey. I am seated and when the barber sees me coming she gives me the NASTIEST FACE!!! So rude and so unprofessional. I just choke it up and sit down and she asks me what I would like to do. I show her a picture and she says I'n a very monotone and matter of fact voice "I am not gonna have time to do that. Go see if they have another time available." YOUR KIDDING ME RIGHT!!! I was already sitting in the chair ready to get my haircut. At this point I'm extremely angry I go to the front desk and ask for another appointment. She tells me they are booked for the day. This place is a garbage of a establishment. How can you refuse someone service for being 10 minutes late and then not have time slots available if this were to happen! Guess what! I went to Supercuts and got the best service ever! Their barbers were so attentive and happy to assist me and all for a much much cheaper cost. Not to mention they have a variety of barbers not just 3. Sorry primos you have lost another customer. I will never step foot in this establishment again. read more

Just got another great haircut and shave at Primos this afternoon. I've been a customer for over 6 months now and I'm amazed how consistent they are with their excellent service and quality of work. I was in for a cut and shave and came out feeling like a million bucks. The staff is very hospitable. As soon as you walk in the door they offer you something to drink, anything from a soda to an espresso and make you feel at home. I always set up an appointment so they are ready for me when I walk in. Christina gives 100% of her attention to you during the cut and shave and makes you feel like a VIP as I'm sure any of the other barbers there do. The price is reasonable and they offer a great yearly discount. I recommend Primos to anyone who expects great service and a quality haircut and or shave. By the way the tunes are great and if you ask they'll usually change the station on the satellite to something you like. read more

Let start with don't let the rest of the reviews fool you. This barbershop is the worst barbershop I've ever been to. The staff is incredibly rude and unprofessional they disrespect each other in front of customers they yell at each other , it's just not a pretty sight. Now for the haircut THE WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. The barber didn't even pay attention to what he was doing he was just chopping and chopping I had to tell him please calm down remember what I told you.
