BUT my dry style + pin curl experience with Madison was terrible. She tugged on my NBR extensions and scalp too hard and when I communicated, she only gave me attitude. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. I am 56 and specifically asked for light makeup because I don't want the foundation to be heavy and show fine lines. it was the worst makeup a person could do. i think I looked better walking in then walking out. The makeup she used made me look horrible. It felt heavy but O had hair after and that came out awful too. asked before a specific style and my hair the was put back had too much gel and looked greasy I'm the front. I wasted 2 hrs of my time and lost $145 dollars. I went home and had to shower and wash the makeup off. My family totally agreed. what I thought was going to be treat for myself was absolutely not. This is going to be the first bad review that I've ever posted. I tried to reach out directly to the Primp and Blow Chandler location to see if they can resolve something but, their response was. "We will use this feedback to improve our communication and service in the future." The following dialogue is what I sent to the Chandler location to see if they are willing to do something to make up for this awful experience. "I use the primp and blow in Gilbert quite often for my daughter, but unfortunately they were booked up. I scheduled everything but unfortunately, we were running a little bit late so as a courtesy I called and let the gal at the Chandler location know that we were running 10 or 15 minutes behind and she says no worries. Take your time. When we got there, I was told that they could only shampoo and blow out my daughter's hair and her three friends for my daughter's birthday party. I totally understand that I was late, but I could've been told that the services would not be provided. There was a lot that went into the days planning, including a limo to get over to Chandler from Gilbert pedicures and a multitude of other activities. Once again, I totally understand that I was late, but I could've been told that the services would not be OK before driving over there. For almost $200 I feel like I could've taken them to any beauty shop to get a shampoo. But I took my daughter and her friends for this very special day because of the great service I've received in the past. I have numerous Google reviews for the Gilbert location. Actually every Google review I've ever left has been a positive experience so I'm definitely not one to complain or posted online but this was definitely not OK This was their response... I'm very unhappy with the attitude that this location displayed when they told me my daughter and her friends that they were not getting their hairstyles or if they wanted it to be styled that they could just brush it out and curl their hair. I was shocked when I was told this and I did not want to say anything at the time for the fear of creating an awkward environment for my daughter on her birthday. My daughter even said that she felt like it was really weird because the stylist didn't really even talk to her like the stylists over at the Gilbert location. Got my full updo here by Lauren. She was very friendly and sweet. I booked a shampoo as well, without knowing that it is not necessarily need for my hair since, I have just washed them yesterday (Thanks to Lauren explaining this to me!) I showed her a couple of pictures of my desired styles. This helps the stylist to have an overview of what you like. She also asked specific questions on how I would like my updo to look. I feel that this is important because not everyone likes the same look. By asking questions to further clarifying a client's interest, shows that the stylist truly cares about her work. Destinee was amazing with my hair extensions install! I brought in hand tied extensions from another salon and my main concern was making sure the extensions don't hurt my scalp. I've noticed before with other salons my scalp would feel really sore a week after my install. I worried that I would experience the same again. I asked her if she can make them as comfortable as possible as my scalp is very sensitive. She was very patient and super sweet during my appointment and also got me in same day! I was so nervous to come here because I have long, thick, super curly hair (mixed black and white). I was thinking like..there's no way they're going to be able to just blow dry my hair and do nothing else. Upon booking the appointment the receptionist even said there would be an extra charge because they would have to use a hot tool on my hair. Anyways, I showed up for my appointment a little early. Was greeted right away and offered a drink (sodas, water, coffee etc.) The salon is spacious, clean and decorated chic and cute. My stylist (Callie) was awesome. She used the moroccan oil product line on my hair and it smelled so good. The scalp massage was amazing and much needed. It lasted about 10 minutes. Callie took me back to the chair sectioned off my hair and got to work. When she finished each section I was like omg..it worked! My hair was straight with a little added curl. It was bouncy,shiny, and just awesome. I didn't even need a hot tool. I loved my results and will definitely be back. * at night to keep the style I just wrapped my hair as I would do if it was straightened. Unwrapped it in the morning and it was perfect. read more

Came in for a simple braid, which took the stylist less than 10 minutes because she was such an expert braider. I went for the Katniss Everdeen Hunger Games look, reverse French/Dutch braid. It came out great and I was happy with the results. I wish she would have textured it a little more. For $25 I think I deserve more than 10 minutes of service. A little more product would have been nice. But the style lasted overnight and I can't complain. I would go back but have more specific instructions on what I wanted. If you check in on Yelp you can get a free Hemp lotion or $5 gift card, I opted for the gift card. I will go back for a blow out and style. This review is based on the overall experience my bridal party and I had on the morning of my wedding. Overall, it was a positive experience, but they need to fix a couple issues to reach that next level of WOW. Process: each person gets either their own stylist who stays with them for hair and makeup or they see a stylist for both. My stylist, Jace, did an AMAZING job with my hair and makeup. I would highly recommend him. More details below. The Good: my hair and makeup turned out to be incredible. It made my wedding day so, so, special. I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup. Thank you Jace. Also good: the process of setting up the appointment for 9 people was smooth and the ability to get everybody out of there in a timely manner was impressive. 9 people, 3 hours. The bad: there was definitely some attitude from the staff that I wish I didn't see. I was getting married that day, and even though I didn't need to be smothered with attention, a congratulations, or even a thank you for choosing their business would have gone a long way. Instead, the staff seemed impatient and unwilling to listen to some of the changes that my girls wanted to make to their make-up. I also wish that they would ask exactly what each person wanted. A couple of my girls took their make up off because they didn't like the way it looked. A couple other girls went ahead and spent an hour fixing their makeup back at the venue. I'm wavering between 3-4 stars, but I'm choosing 4 because at the end of the day my experience was pretty good. They don't t even deserve one star! You're told to be there five minutes early, and I'm kept waiting 15 minutes. I go to the counter where another girl is also waiting. She gives up and walks away, because no one is attending the front counter. Finally a girl with diamond studs all over her eyes comes up to me and I tell her I've been waiting to get my makeup done. She said, "oh that's me" I said I now don't have 45 minutes ( this is the time it takes them) to do this because the wedding I'm in and attending is at 4:00. She walks away without saying anything to me, so I'm waiting once again and finally leave because now I know I won't get done on time. She was so rude and could care less about keeping me waiting.
