I…read morebought plenty of teethers to be strapped to him so he would always have something for the discomfort but I received photos throughout the day and he was rarely wearing them then the biting escalated and I seeked help from his physician who gave me instructions on correcting the behavior. It resolved quickly at home but the daycare would not do the timeouts and correction that had worked at home. Instead they tried to isolate him by putting him in a crib our strapping him in a high chair and continually switched his rooms and teachers to avoid correcting and it continued to escalate. I was dismissed and ignored when I was frustrated they were continuing to isolate him and inflating the situation. My child does not bite when he is with me and stopped after he was corrected over 8 months ago. Then today I get a call that his enrollment is terminated. Effective this week. I am a single mom who works full time and has paid on time for the last year totalling over $16,000. I have had teachers say they are concerned other teachers do not monitor him to descalate before it results in a bite because they are on their phones. When I brought this up to the director she asked who told me that and that teacher was never there again so I assume they fired her. My child is under the age of 2 and before this daycare he hadn't been biting at his previous inhome daycare while we were on the wait list. He has been with the facility a year and they also send him home for staffing issues and ticks as well. They find any excuse to send him home even though I pay them to watch my child while I work.

It is so comforting as a parent to find a school that you can completely entrust with your child's safety, education, and well-being. We are greeted every day when we arrive, and at the end of the day my daughter's teacher is there to let me know everything about her day. As a working parent, one of my biggest complaints about her previous school was that every time I dropped off or picked up my daughter her teacher had already left for the day, and the management was out of the building. This is NOT the case here at Children's Learning Adventure. It is so refreshing to have a conversation with my child's teacher, who has been with her all day, at the end of the day. The director, Kelly, is so friendly and genuine. I really feel like she cares, and that is so refreshing to find these days. My daughter loves coming to her new school! She gets to participate in art class, gym class, and even makes a trip to the library to see the giant fish tank each week. Once she is older (she is only 2) she will get to go to cooking class and science class. This is all in addition to their fantastic curriculum. Before being fully enrolled, we paid the application fee and enrollment deposit. Due to life circumstances we had to cancel our plans to send our child here. Although their rate sheet states the following below, our child was not completely enrolled and we provided a months notice. They advised multiple families were turned down and deferred to their rate sheet. With a months notice and current wait lists with daycares, I think they will easily fill the empty spot. The discount was a nice courtesy but doesn't make sense from a cost perspective and felt like any other here's a discount stay with us kinda thing. Guidepost would lose more money by providing a discount versus just refunding us. They were unwilling to discuss partial refunding or even work with us at all. I can't comment on the care as our child never attended. Proceed with absolute certainty before putting any money down as there is a zero tolerance and are unwilling to work with people. Enrollment deposit statement from rate sheet: "Your enrollment deposit both pre-registers you for the program and secures the current rate sheet. Enrollment deposits are applied to the last month of your child's enrollment in the school (see below). The enrollment deposit is nonrefundable under nearly all circumstances. The only circumstance in which the enrollment deposit is refundable is if we are not able to inform you of a start date within 6 months of submitting your enrollment deposit."

But they also focus on the academics at a age-appropriate level. The communication from the teachers is so focused on each child and highlights their growth and interests. The menu consists of whole grains lots of fruits and veggies. Vegetarian accommodations are hit and miss. Our biggest complaint is that they don't take credit cards other than discover.
