As a teacher up until last week (I gave my 2 weeks but was fired 4 days before my last day w no…read morenotice) the positives is it's a nice interior/exterior are clean for the most part. The teachers are absolutely wonderful, but get no back up from the administration or Owner when they express concerns, they are not "heard", "respected" nor "appreciated". These were my main complaints that led me leaving. From Feb. 3rd until the 14th I had expressed concerns on one of my toddlers not acting normal since a push from another student and he hit his face head first on the tile. When I would ask for someone to come check on him it would be forgotten for hours. I even went to the Owner with my concerns to be told that "it's a process." Finally on 2/14 after I had given notice the child had a seizure (he is 1 1/2 years old) and my assistant teacher called the owner and I text the director that his eyes rolled back and instead of calling 911 they came to my room to see that I took it upon myself to call 911 and was on the phone w them until they arrived. The child had a second seizure while the owner was in there and she did nothing, I held his head until he came to. I expressed my concerns on the child w the bad pushing habit because I had 3 non walkers and nothing was done. I told them he was going to hurt someone bad, and he did. This center is all about about image, money and appearance on the outside, when push comes to shove it's the teachers that are the glue. I expressed my concerns that if the safety issues and respect issues were corrected I would stay as I was there for the kids, I truly love them and wasn't there for a paycheck. (which by the way their tuition was through the roof and their pay for teachers and lead teachers is $10/hour) I wanted to go to work to experience these babies firsts words, walking, etc. I would go in at 6:30am and was suppose to get off at 3pm but never did. It was assumed I would stay until we were in ratio which would always be a couple hours later. This is why the children get attached to teachers and then the teachers leave. People that need the money can't afford to make $10/hr and when you have an owner calling to your room from sitting in her office watching cameras about where a teacher sits or how they clean (instead of waiting to see) is mind blowing for the pay. For instance same day I called 911 on the child having the seizure a couple hours passed and my director came in to tell me the owner said my counter needed to be cleaned off which we had already cleaned by that time. mind you we had just done a craft w glue and set them on the counter to dry literally a minute before the child seized and lunch also came during this time which my assistant was passing out the food while I was focused on the child and out of the owner coming to my room that's all she could worry about was that my counter was messy. This was a traumatic event for myself and assistant to try and keep our composure and that is what her take of the day is. Again, the teachers are excellent and try to do the best for the children, but when they have no one supporting them it's honestly just not worth it to stay. Also,, as looking through these reviews half are from employees..... so they are not accurate and it's how the rating has stayed higher than it should.

It is always nerve…read morewrecking with leaving your baby with anyone but his infant B class and teachers are amazing. Ms. Jadah, Ms Steph, Ms Tati and Ms Jordan love the babies as if they were their own. They do fun activities with the babies, play, feed and take amazing care of them. We are truly blessed to have found have a such a great group to take care of our little one.

We ended up transferring our children to a different preschool after coming to understand the differences in teaching philosophies and methodologies in "traditional" preschools, like Bowman Academy, and some of the alternative programs, like Montessori and Waldorf. We felt our circumstances were best served elsewhere, but I cannot say enough good things about our children's teachers; Mrs. Bobbie (amazing!!!!), Mrs. Susan, Mrs. Kidder and Mrs. Emily. Truly caring and talented teachers. There was an administrative change at Bowman that I feel created some turbulence, but it is the teachers that matter most.

After researching, visiting, and experiencing 2 other preschools, I have been beyond happy with them. This is the most caring, loving, kind, generous, and flexible team I've ever come across, even in my own business interactions. They absolutely cater to the families as a unit, respond quickly and efficiently, and have the most loving staff. Bowman has created a culture of teachers and caregivers that excel at making the children feel comfortable and loved, while the parents feel supported and "heard." I'll never forget the first day of school for my daughter, who was of course crying for me not to leave, and the teacher (whom I simply love and trust, as I do all of them) looked at me and said "the faster you make your departure, the more easy it will be for her." I trusted her, I kissed my daughter and left (and of course cried my eyes out in the parking lot). She was right, and my children have always felt safe and protected there as a product of that compassionate and confident leadership their teachers exude. You won't find a better preschool... just hope you can get on their list.

There is a parent portal and even a curriculum portal. It is wonderful to have this type of transparency with the care of my child. Payments are weekly along with a small (compared to others) annual fee. They have a secure door (with pass code) with the door handle up high so the little ones cannot accidentally get out. Food and snacks are included in cost. They have great family events as well! We are excited to continue care for our son here for as long as possible.

We were very lucky for my daughter to be placed in with Ms. Shelby, even though I have heard great things about the other VPK teachers as well. My daughter adores her teacher. She is a veteran teacher who knows how to connect well with her students. I can see how they all quickly attach themselves to her. She is great when it comes to communicating and interacting with them. My daughter has learned so much in her class. I am very proud of what she has been able to accomplish and seeing her progress in various subjects is exciting. I can only speak on behalf of a parent of a vpk child, but apart from vpk, this is a daycare as well. The center does many fun things with the children and every event they have here is catered to all of the kids. They have done something fun and family oriented for just about every holiday and will have special events from time to time that coincide with what the students are learning that week. There are plenty of chances for parents to volunteer their time here which is great. The staff involves themselves with the parents and care givers very nicely but there is room for improvement. I will say that I wish there was just a bit more communication when it comes to what the kids do on a daily basis in vpk. My daughter being 4 will do a million and one cool things at school but once she comes home, she has no clue what happened no matter how many unique questions I ask her and in various forms. When I go to the school and see inside the classroom, I get a better idea of how the day goes and all the great work Ms. Shelby puts in with her students. It would be nice to receive something concrete showing a schedule from the school with what they typically do first thing in the morning and sequentially after that. It is briefly discussed when meeting the teacher for the first time, but there is so much to take in that day that it is too much for the parents to be expected to remember it all. I also don't hear much about how my daughter does in school both emotionally and physically. What she really needs work on vs what she does great in (apart from what I observe at home and what I receive after a major state exam). I was told that I could sit in on the teacher and watch during the day to see what goes on, but I have another child and can't do that. What if I worked during the day? Plus, sitting in on the class would be disruptive to the teacher and students in my opinion. Apart from better communication, the center is very well run, organized, has caring staff, and proves to be involved in the education and care of each individual child. So far, I would recommend this center to another parent.

The feeling you get when you walk through the door at Primrose is always a welcoming one. The staff is professional and always positive with the parents and children. They communicate in the app and via phone calls very clearly and consistently. The facility is well maintained and they have tons of awesome activities for the kids. Our son always looks forward to water day and playing on the play ground with his friends. We are so happy with our choice to switch to Primrose and highly recommend it to anyone in the area seeking care for their child.
