The staff are very friendly polite and kind. There's a free breakfast buffet from 7 am and it was quite delicious. Eggs, meats, waffles, cereal, oatmeal and a nice variety of fruits and yoghurt as well. Across the street is a mall with a food court, Coles and Woolworths for groceries and even a movie theatre. The room itself is small and minimally furnished but everything worked well and the tv had many channels unlike some of the hotels I've stayed at by the famous wharf in Melbourne

I didn't take a lot of notes on this stay. My notes literally read "5 stars. Quiet, great location,…read morefriendly staff." I think that says it all, really. Stay here if you desire to be near Melbourne but not in Melbourne.

This is definitely one of those pubs that I really didn't like. I guess the atmosphere went a long…read moreway to help me reach that conclusion. Honestly, it was pretty tacky. Then again, I tend to find that to be the case with many of the outer suburban pubs, but I still visited them, just in case I find a real gem. Well, that certainly wasn't the case with this particular pub. Yeah, honestly, I'm not going to be recommending this one.

First and foremost, we were unimpressed with the noise. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was…read morea live band playing from the early evening until 10pm at night.There was also a band playing the morning after from 10am. We did not appreciate this disturbance as we were hoping for a quiet, peaceful stay. After our stay we phoned to complain to the manager who told us that they always have that band every weekend, and guests are notified of this (we were not notified of anything of the sort, or we wouldn't have stayed). The manager also told us that had we informed reception at night, as soon as we heard the noise, they would have moved us to a quiet Deluxe room at the back of the hotel. The fact that we only told them in the morning prevented them from helping us get a better rest. However, I think once we were in bed, trying to sleep and the noise started - the last thing we would want to do would be to get up, get dressed and pack up all of our stuff to move to room that actually results in downgrading us, as we booked an Executive Suite. Not really ideal. We were offered a bottle of wine on our next stay as compensation, and that if we prefer a quieter stay we should next time rather stay on a weekday. No thanks. Our recommendation to people who are thinking of staying here - avoid weekends. Another heads up - the rooms don't look nearly as good as the photos - and we booked an "executive suite"...
