ZERO STARS!!! My younger sister had her wedding here 08/20/22 and literally the day of rehearsal,…read morewe were told by the owner that we would get the whole day to set up and rehearse but they had people coming in and out during our rehearsal, taking pictures of my sisters engagement pictures and the set up. It was truly unprofessional, rude, and annoying! The DAY OF the wedding, the worker/coordinator from the venue, this blonde lady, had another party come in and she asked one of the bridesmaids when we would be done doing our last minute set up bc the otparty wanted to rehearse like REALLY!?!?!?! Rude and unprofessional. The worker had the audacity to ask us not to put the petals on the side of the aisle because the other party didn't want it there. My sister paid for the venue to be used for a whole day and we did NOT Get THAT. My sister's now husband, also emailed the owner about the inconveniences and unprofessional behaviors of the staff at the venue and they never received a response. It has been exactly 1 week now. If you're thinking about renting this venue for your event, expect the owner and workers to be unprofessional and rude. It's all about the money they get for this place. Expect double bookings and other people coming in and out while you're trying to set up, rehearse, and expect others to come in THE DAY OF your wedding, asking when they can rehearse. This place in simple words, sucks.

First time here! A friend of ours got married here today and it was beautiful! I never knew this…read moreplace was here and I've traveled through Lawrenceville several times and never knew it was here. From what I'm told they host several parties, weddings, dinners, etc throughout the year. What caught my eye was the rustic door and iron trimmings . The white/grey brick walls are beautiful. Beautiful rustic chandeliers and candles throughout the venue. The sitting area is like a living room :) nice chairs, tables, lamps, pictures, etc.... There are several tables/chairs outside for guests. The parking lot holds about 80 cars. The reason it's called 550 Trackside is bc the train runs right next to it:). At the time of the wedding no trains were on the track. I'm not certain if they have caterers on site but the caterer that prepared the food was awesome! He prepared stuffed fish with shrimp/spinach/peppers/onions. Delicious!!! The yellow rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. The Mac & cheese was delicious - 3 cheeses! I didn't try the grilled chicken but I'm told it was good. I'm considering having my birthday party here:). If you're in the area or just looking for a nice reasonable venue check them out.

This is not your corner bbq joint. This is more of an upscale bbq spot. It also gave off a romantic…read moretype of vibe. Seating is very close and intimate and nice music is playing in the background. At first glance it seemed like a place you would want to come back to again and again. The waitress/cashier was very welcoming upon our entrance. I don't know if she was one of the owners but she was very nice and apologetic. We drove 30 minutes to try out this restaurant and let's just say it was not worth the drive. Since it was our first time there we were excited to try some of the ribs. Unfortunately they were out of the pork ribs. They were also out of the mac and cheese. That was a little disappointing but I figured because we got there around 7 and they close at 8 they could have run out of items. No biggie. We opted to get the fried chicken with fries and fried mushrooms. I got the pulled pork sandwich with onion rings, and a lemonade. The lemonade was perfect, to me it wasn't too sweet and had just enough tartness to make you want to drink more. Presentation was EVERYTHING. When the sandwich came out I wasn't even sure how to eat it lol. It looked great on the wooded plate. I wish the plates would have been bigger because the sandwich was a little sloppy, nonetheless it was presented very classy. The bowl that the onion rings came in was also wood and it was cute and different. I have not seen dishes like this before. The chicken was on one of the wooded classy plates a little small for the chicken but cute as well. Now here is the part where I had to deduct stars. The chicken was fried perfectly, it was juicy, crispy and hot. The only thing that was missing was the seasoning. It was very bland there was absolutely no salt or pepper or any flavoring that I could taste on the chicken. I just knew we couldn't go wrong with the chicken because after all it is a bbq spot right? Wrong..maybe because it was late they were just trying to get the food out so they could go home. But whatever the case it was not good. We did not have any bbq sauce or hot sauce. It wasn't offered and we didn't ask. Same thing with the fried mushrooms. The coating did not have any flavor and we did not have any dipping sauce. Again we didn't ask and it wasn't offered. The waitress did provide ketchup with both meals, but I feel like something was off with the flavoring. The onion rings were good and the steak fries were good. I would not drive that distance just for those items. One couple at a table next to ours had something that looked like fish or very large chicken tenders. Either way hers did look good but I wondered if it had any flavor. Hers was plain, no sauce or anything like that. I did see she had something to dip the food in and it looked like she enjoyed it. As I mentioned previously it is a very cosy atmosphere. It was very humid inside though and the sunlight was beaming in hard. The waitress tried to close the curtains but that didn't help much because the curtains were kind of see-through so the sun still hit us hard in the face and back, and again because it was so late maybe they had turned down the a/c. The waitress did apologize but basically there was nothing she could do about that. They do have a rewards program that you can sign up for to aquire points and discounts on things but I wasted time signing up because I will not be returning. I was so excited to have a new bbq place to frequent but unfortunately this will not be the one. To end on a positive note, the presentation was everything and the environment was very inviting.

I love this place!!!! OMG I cannot emphasize how much this place is wonderful. I went here with my…read morefamily on 9/2 and at first we were nervous because it took forever to get our drinks. Also, they were out of brisket which is what the whole family was craving, so two red flags. We wanted to run out and go to the Mexican Restaurant next door, but then the manager came out and change our whole mood. We got chicken wings, a veggie platter, a burger and beef ribs. It was so delicious and you can tell they really season their food and cook their food with love. The ambience was gorgeous and felt so cozy. I definitely am coming back to this restaurant.
