My younger sister had her wedding here 08/20/22 and literally the day of rehearsal, we were told by the owner that we would get the whole day to set up and rehearse but they had people coming in and out during our rehearsal, taking pictures of my sisters engagement pictures and the set up. It was truly unprofessional, rude, and annoying! The DAY OF the wedding, the worker/coordinator from the venue, this blonde lady, had another party come in and she asked one of the bridesmaids when we would be done doing our last minute set up bc the otparty wanted to rehearse like REALLY!?!?!?! Rude and unprofessional. The worker had the audacity to ask us not to put the petals on the side of the aisle because the other party didn't want it there. My sister paid for the venue to be used for a whole day and we did NOT Get THAT. My sister's now husband, also emailed the owner about the inconveniences and unprofessional behaviors of the staff at the venue and they never received a response. It has been exactly 1 week now. If you're thinking about renting this venue for your event, expect the owner and workers to be unprofessional and rude. It's all about the money they get for this place. Expect double bookings and other people coming in and out while you're trying to set up, rehearse, and expect others to come in THE DAY OF your wedding, asking when they can rehearse. First time here! A friend of ours got married here today and it was beautiful! I never knew this place was here and I've traveled through Lawrenceville several times and never knew it was here. From what I'm told they host several parties, weddings, dinners, etc throughout the year. What caught my eye was the rustic door and iron trimmings . The white/grey brick walls are beautiful. Beautiful rustic chandeliers and candles throughout the venue. The sitting area is like a living room :) nice chairs, tables, lamps, pictures, etc.... There are several tables/chairs outside for guests. The parking lot holds about 80 cars. The reason it's called 550 Trackside is bc the train runs right next to it:). At the time of the wedding no trains were on the track. I'm not certain if they have caterers on site but the caterer that prepared the food was awesome! He prepared stuffed fish with shrimp/spinach/peppers/onions. Delicious!!! The yellow rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. The Mac & cheese was delicious - 3 cheeses! I didn't try the grilled chicken but I'm told it was good. I'm considering having my birthday party here:). Nice venue for a wedding. Overall was fine a for a basic wedding that has all the basic wedding amenities. Ambience: 3/5 stars. Nice rustic ambience that can be transformed to meet your party needs but definitely very basic with no high end finishes Service: 3/5 stars. Basic service but friendly and welcoming Food: 4/5 stars. We were here for a wedding reception. What a beautiful facility. There were 250 people there and it did not feel crowded at all. The rustic stone walls and beautiful beams in the ceiling were amazing. It is directly beside a train track but we didn't even hear the train that passed by while we were there. The acoustics were great. I honestly can't say enough good about this venue. If you are looking for a place to have a wedding reception or function, this is definitely a place you should seriously consider. You won't be disappointed. read more

I was at this beautifully decorated event space last Friday for a charity event hosted by the UMatter Foundation Inc. One of the first things I noticed upon arrival was the spacious parking lot that was well paved, That is always appreciated and there was plenty of parking for all the guests that night. Love the front entrance of this venue. Management did a great job of using outdoor lights to create a warm and welcoming space that's very inviting to the guests as they walk up from the parking lot. The event space itself is quite large and the exposed wood beams and vaulted ceilings are a nice touch. The fun coincidence is that my friend Matt W.'s sister was having her wedding here at this same venue the following Saturday and I definitely can see why 550 Trackside has won several "Best of Gwinnett" awards. The chandeliers in the main room are bright and match well with the rest of the decor throughout the main room. One of the first things I noticed was the glass on the wood doors. The glass was unique because it looked like "raindrops" on the glass. It's the best way to describe it but it definitely was a nice touch and caught my eye. I also liked the sitting area that was located in the right back corner of the main area. The bathrooms here are also super clean and well maintained. I was very impressed with this event space and highly recommend it for your next large business networking, charity, special birthday, or charity event. Again, it's a wonderfully decorated space that's warm and inviting. Plenty of beautiful areas for "photo ops" and more. If you're in the Lawrenceville area, be sure to pay them a visit. read more

Me and my wife had our wedding and reception in April of 2012 and it was amazing. Roger is class act. He made us feel right at home and help us in everything we wanted for our wedding. Gave us an open invite to come show the place off anytime we wanted to and anything we wanted he said yes to. We had a problem with Shaw Tent in Norcross not delivering drapes and Roger checked up with us and made sure everything was taken care of. The is a great spot for your wedding or community event. My fraternity hosts several events at this Lawrenceville location and the venue fits them all. The decor is warm with the restored wood and stone interior. It's fairly large and can be divided to fit all occasions. The staff is flexible and the prices are affordable. read more
