It took 30 minutes for take out of 2 sandwiches. One couple came in later than me and got their food 15 minutes faster. It was pretty much the same order but they also had fries. I stopped by Princess Pita after visiting the botanical garden. The restaurant was set to close at 9 PM, and my fiancé and I arrived around 8:15 PM. Although it was close to closing time, the staff was incredibly welcoming and patient. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Entree, and it was absolutely delicious. The beef was marinated to perfection. The meat was very tender. I also appreciated that the meal came conveniently packed in a to go container, which made it easy to take leftovers home. I can't believe I didn't review sooner, thank goodness for photo evidence! I popped in on a lunch break and ordered at the kiosk (which mildly confused me, not gonna lie). Took a number, filled my drink, sat down, sort of cafeteria style seating where you put a number on the tabke and they bring you your food. I just didn't order from a person. Minimal ineraction, really. Greek fries? A total win. Crispy, well-seasoned, generous portion. I'd come back just for those. I had the falafel wrap, and... meh. Didn't look like the picture, and it felt kinda skimpy. Just seemed like a small amount of.... falafel, not the falafel itself but the sandwich overall. Headed to Princess Pita prior to seeing Linkin Park in concert was an excellent idea! Place is tucked into a small strip mall with mostly eateries. The restaurant was clean and quiet when we arrived. The young lady that assisted us with our order was kind and helpful. Two of us ordered the chicken shawarma wrap combo and my son order the traditional gyro combo. Lots of food on our plate and the shawarma was well seasoned and everything in our wrap was fresh! By the time we left the place the restaurant was very busy. I really wanted to love this place after their social media hype, but the falafel was dark brown rather than wheat color and it didn't need sesame seeds on it. The rice and salad were good and there were Persian cucumbers in the salad which is a plus. If you're craving Mediterranean/Greek, this place hits the spot. I've dined in a few times and we've placed orders through DoorDash too. My go-to is the gyro plate. The slices of gyro meat are so flavorful and tender - I can't get enough of it. I love the fragrant rice, fresh salad on the side, and the creamy hummus. It also comes with a tzatziki sauce, but since I'm not eating dairy right now, I was able to sub for the garlic sauce which was so good! The first time I had the beef shwarma plate, I was a big fan. It was soft and tender, but I didn't think the tahini sauce paired well with this. I would opt in for the garlic or tzatziki sauce instead. The second time wasn't as good, so I just stick to the gyro plate. The gyro wrap is also tasty. I would get this with the fries which are crispy and delish. I recently went here with some friends. Came here after a day at the zoo. My son loves Mediterranean food so he was excited to try it. The place looks clean, except for the bathroom, that is not well kept. The place is small and you can order at the kiosh or with a person. Once you place your order you sit wherever you want. My son got the chicken shawarma wrap, he loved it, he said it's on par with his favorite place Sabas. My daughter and I got the chicken kabob Entree, my daughter's friend got the Traditional Shawarma. I liked my food, very flavorful. My son gave Princess pita a big thumbs up, which is huge because he is a picky eater. Overall it was a good lunch and we will be back to try their falafel. read more

The food here was absolutely delicious! The guys in the front had my order waiting when I arrived early and greeted me instantly upon entering the lobby. My pita bread was soft and warm, the hummus tasted super authentic like my grandma used to make. My Gyro plate was heaping, and the rice was steaming, hot and fragrant. The side of falafel included 6 falafel, but I personally didn't like the outer crust, it gave me a weird almost burnt bitter taste but they weren't burnt. Only ate 3 of the 6. This location seems to cater towards takeout customers despite having dine-in infrastructure. Our meals were served in to-go containers with pre-wrapped plastic cutlery, which made for a lackluster experience. Now that I know, I can return with proper expectations, but given I was expecting a similar experience to their Mesa spot, I left a bit disappointed. The gal who took our orders and brought the food was kind and courteous. We had no major issues and enjoyed the same menu as their other store. Wow- That was the fastest delivery service ever! I wanted to try something new for lunch today and ended up ordering delivery from this place... I went with a Greek salad with chicken shawarma and a side of tzatziki sauce. I loved the dressing so much that I didn't use the tzatziki. I didn't realize that the salad didn't come with pita bread, otherwise I would have ordered a pita on the side. I will have to remember to do that next time. I couldn't get through to them, so I called the restaurant directly. They were beyond supportive. After being indecisive for a second I went for the classic wrap. It ended up being the perfect amount for me. Service was quick, the staff is very kind and knew the names of the regulars, the meat was soft and juicy, and the veggies were fresh. $9 is super cheap (compared to the Bay Area anyway). Stumbled on this place when we tried to go to the Indian restaurant next door for a dosa, but they weren't serving dosas, so this seemed like a fun option. We ordered at the counter with a touch screen interface. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. The portions were large. There is some indoor seating as well as some outdoor tables you can sit at that I think are kind of general tables shared by all the restaurants here. We had the chicken shawarma. The flavor was just ok. A little salty. To me it seemed like American fast food shawarma. It was shawarma, but lacked the richness and depth of flavor I've come to love. Good quality for the price. We came here after the Desert Botanical Garden and had a wonderful lunch. I got the chicken shawarma plate, my wife got the gyros plate, and we got a side order of fries for my daughter and us to share. Everything was delicious! Yellow rice was fluffy and fresh, hummus was creamy and flavorful, pitas were soft and nice, gyros were nicely spiced with a good mix of crispy bits, chicken shawarma was tasty and tender, and finally the French fries were coated with something that made it extra crispy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside! The gyros came with a side of tzatziki sauce while the chicken shawarma had a side of white garlic sauce. Staff was very friendly and kept all the tables clean. I visited Princess Pita in Tempe around 4:30 on a Thursday looking for an early dinner. I ordered a shawarma combo platter with beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, hummus, salad, seasoned rice, tahini sauce, and I was offered a substitute of a side of cucumbers for the pita because I don't eat bread. The shawarma was nicely seasoned and the hummus is top notch. In addition they have homemade baklava baked by one of the owners. I did not partake of it but it looked phenomenal. Also note that they have vegetarian options (stuffed grape leaves, falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush). The service was prompt and friendly. I was served by the son of the family who owns the business and I had a pleasant conversation him. The restaurant was not busy but it was 4:30 on Thursday. You order at the counter. They have a number of tables for dining in, or you can take out. The restaurant was clean and looks like a great place to grab lunch. There was plenty of parking in the lot, but I expect it could get more crowded at lunch and dinner because there are a number of restaurants in the plaza. I will refer my colleagues here as a good place to go for lunch or dinner. I'll be back next time I'm in town. read more

The hummus with pita was probably the tastiest part of the entire Chicken Shawarma Entree.
