It was my day off from work and I was feeling very adventurous and decided to try Princess Pita (Tempe) for the first time and I have to say everything from Ruben's great customer service to the #18 Gyro Deluxe Wrap was amazing!!! The wrap was flavorful and tasted healthy!!! I also got the Greek fries which were also really delicious!!! 10/10 recommend Pita Princess!!! Thank you Ruben

I stopped by Princess Pita after visiting the botanical garden. The restaurant was set to close at 9 PM, and my fiancé and I arrived around 8:15 PM. Although it was close to closing time, the staff was incredibly welcoming and patient. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Entree, and it was absolutely delicious. The beef was marinated to perfection. The meat was very tender. I also appreciated that the meal came conveniently packed in a to go container, which made it easy to take leftovers home. Very clean location with nice music playing in the background.

I can't believe I didn't review sooner, thank goodness for photo evidence! I popped in on a lunch break and ordered at the kiosk (which mildly confused me, not gonna lie). Took a number, filled my drink, sat down, sort of cafeteria style seating where you put a number on the tabke and they bring you your food. I just didn't order from a person. Minimal ineraction, really. Greek fries? A total win. Crispy, well-seasoned, generous portion. I'd come back just for those. I had the falafel wrap, and... meh. Didn't look like the picture, and it felt kinda skimpy. Just seemed like a small amount of.... falafel, not the falafel itself but the sandwich overall. I've also ordered delivery and got the falafel platter, which was way better, in my opinion. That one's a keeper. I've got my eye on the dolmades next time. For now, fries, yes. Wrap, pass. Platter, add to cart.

Food was so yummy and fresh! The Greek fries with the feta were crisp, zesty and so dang good. The orange iced tea is phenomenal and the service is quick! Great for a sit down or to go order and close to Papago Park and the Zoo!

Headed to Princess Pita prior to seeing Linkin Park in concert was an excellent idea! Place is tucked into a small strip mall with mostly eateries. The restaurant was clean and quiet when we arrived. The young lady that assisted us with our order was kind and helpful. Two of us ordered the chicken shawarma wrap combo and my son order the traditional gyro combo. Lots of food on our plate and the shawarma was well seasoned and everything in our wrap was fresh! By the time we left the place the restaurant was very busy. Check them out next time you are in the Tempe area.

Steak kabab was super tender and perfect topping with Greek salad. Gyro is ok but definitely get Greek fries topped with feta, parsley, tzatziki and Greek dressing. Restaurant is very casual - part of a grocery store and you order at the counter. Service is friendly and food came out fast.

The food was nothing overly special they did not have spicy so that was a letdown.. it was a good presentation. Service was good but a little slow.. I wouldn't feel the need to go back.

We absolutely loved the side salad dressing and chicken shawarma. The pita was very fresh. Everything was seasoned very well. The hummus was super silky. The portions were large. Today I ordered a side of beef sambousek and pickles based on others reviews. I thought the pickles tasted like a solid kosher pickle. If you're a pickle purest you should love them. The sambousek was definitely a hit! It was delicate and full of flavor. It's worth getting all three of them. I'll do that next time. The main entree was a kafta kebab wrap which is automatically served with some of the tastiest seasoned fries I've eaten in a long time. In fact, I would say it's worth it to just order a side of fries alone. Anyway, the kafta had a homemade vibe to me and was topped with the usual suspects. An order of kibbeh and hummus rounded out my order. The kibbeh was perfectly cooked and the hummus was super creamy as house made hummus goes. Oh! This may sound crazy but I was even impressed with the lemon slices in my water. They tasted a little sweeter than what I'm accustomed to when eating out. Overall I really liked this place and it was worth the drive across town. Next time I'll be taking friends with me to enjoy a meal. One last note regarding payment. They do have Apple Pay! Woohoo! Just be aware whether you're using Apple Pay or a card, to avoid the small fee use your debit card instead of a credit card.

I was browsing Uber Eats for Mediterranean food when I found Golden and realized they had something that looks an awful lot like Khachapuri (here it's on the menu as Aldo). So I abandoned my plans of delivery food and promptly made my way in to eat. We got a solid sampling of the menu: - hummus/foul - Aldo with cheese and an over easy egg (I think their default may be scrambled but they do over easy if you ask!) - stuffed grape leaves - labani + black olive flatbread - kufta with tomato sauce - shawarma chicken wrap Lord above, my heart was so happy. The foul is exceptionally garlicky. Perfectly so. My partner said the hummus was his favorite thing we ordered, and he's a pretty discerning dude! The Aldo was excellent. The grape leaves came out hot, which surprised me, but again - solid! Flatbread? Stellar. Maybe even better the next day. The kufta didn't particularly excite me, but I wasn't the one who ordered it, and my partner was happy. My shawarma wrap? Oh boy, that garlic sauce. They even perfectly portion the innards so your pickles aren't all stuck to one side and the fries to the other. You can have pickles in almost every bite! We also got several desserts to take home. I haven't sampled them yet, but the hazelnut baklava in particular intrigues me. Casual ambiance. Options for booths or tables, inside or outside. I am so thrilled to have found Golden - they'll be a regular spot for me!

Some restaurants chase trends. Others just quietly keep making really good food year after year…read more This is one of those places. I'd been here several times years ago, and after coming back, I'm honestly wondering why I don't eat here more often. I ordered the chicken shawarma, a stuffed grape leaves platter, and hot tea. Everything was exactly what I hoped it would be. The chicken was well-seasoned, tender, and wrapped with the classic toppings, and the portion was fair for the price. Speaking of price, the value here is honestly hard to beat. The stuffed grape leaves platter came with hummus, tabbouleh, pita, and hot stuffed grape leaves. I had completely forgotten they serve them warm, and my brain needed a minute to recalibrate because I'm so used to cold dolmas everywhere else. Once I took a bite, though... yep. That's how they're supposed to taste. Soft, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. I ended up adding some of the hummus and tabbouleh to my shawarma, which made an already great sandwich even better. The service was just as impressive as the food. My server was genuinely kind, gave me a few extra minutes when I couldn't decide, checked in without hovering, and even offered to package my hot tea to go when he noticed I was still working on it. (For the record, ordering an entire pot of tea for one person was an ambitious life choice on my part.) The dining room isn't huge, and there's also a small market attached, which adds to the charm. This place reminds me that consistency is underrated. Years later, I came back, and it was just as good as I remembered. Great food, great service, great value. I'll try not to wait so long before my next visit.

Every detail you notice is extravagant and purposeful. Visiting on a Saturday for lunch, there were plenty of other families eating together too. I noticed the crowd was mostly older, which lets you know this restaurant is a true staple in the community (I find that usually the old people know what's up). As all 4 of us weren't super hungry, we split the Persian Room Special- Combination of barg (Filet mignon), chicken filet and Koobideh kebab, served with basmati rice and grilled tomato. It was a huge portion of food, served on a large silver platter. The menu states that it serves 2, but it perfectly filled us 4 adults! Granted, we weren't super hungry to begin with, but 2 is definitely an underestimate. I'd say it can easily satisfy 3 hungry adults. Anyway, quantity aside, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Everything was so flavorful and paired well together. The meat was also juicy. My favorite was the koobideh kebab for sure. There isn't much more I can say, as the food speaks for itself. The Persian Room is definitely something you need to try for yourself. Weeks later, I'm still craving it and will definitely be back!
