I've been seen by Dr. Griffis for a couple of years, initially for recurring thumb joint arthritis, and once for an unknown subcutaneous object in my palm that turned out to be a tiny sliver of glass. Soon I'll be seeing him for a consult on possible thumb surgery. Dr. Griffis is not only an excellent doctor, he's a very caring and uniquely personal doctor with an excellent bedside manner, and also one who takes the time to chat and share stories of home and family. Princeton Orthopaedics & Associates - Workers Comp Dept Hands down the worst scheduling and workers comp department I've ever dealt with. The staff talks over you, talks down to you, and treats you like you're an inconvenience instead of a patient. Every call is attitude and zero help. I found out I'd been driving 15+ miles round-trip to appointments when they have another office less than a mile from my home -- and no one bothered to tell me. When I called to switch because I had no transport, the first woman was rude as usual and kept saying, "I don't know, not my department." No effort to help. Then they blind-transferred me to the comp coordinator who acted like we were friends in a bar, not a professional handling my case. Their delays were so bad that my knee injury literally healed incorrectly while waiting weeks for an MRI and then weeks more just to get results scheduled. Four to six weeks for everything. Constant rudeness the whole time. Workers comp or not, I'm still a patient. This office forgets that completely. Avoid this place unless you want stress, delays, and disrespect. read more

I was referred to Princeton Orthopedics by a coworker- the worst experience in my life- I'm not going to go on and on, but on Thursday November 6 I had a lumbar epidural - never had this in my life before wasn't even explained how it was going to go what it does nothing - I Called the doctor today three days later feeling worse than I was when I first met her no empathy from her nothing just well go to ER or well maybe you need to visit a surgeon- It was just the worst I've ever experienced. I regret ever meeting her and her staff- They actually made me worse than I was -Dr Sedhome, shame on you - then she asked me well when you first saw me you were in a lot of pain, etc. etc. like maybe I wasn't the person you should've seen, but why didn't you just tell me that and not touch me or inject me with something that made me worse I just don't get it. MRI shows my stage 4 kneecap is bone on bone but these doctors say I have stage 2. you can't speak to the doctor or his team and if you leave a message they don't get back to you. this place is basically a scam they get you in there, Have a PA look at you and give you no information and push surgery. they just get paid so they never offer any other treatment plans other than surger. Fortunately, over 30 years ago, I met Dr. Abrams, and he and his team at POA have been instrumental in keeping me active and enjoying the wide range of fitness activities I love. Most recently, Dr. Abrams repaired a rotator cuff injury I had been struggling with for almost a year. The surgery was performed at the POA Surgical Center in Princeton, and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience, from the efficient intake process to the thorough pre-op prep and smooth post-op recovery. Upon check-in, my wife and I were promptly taken to a waiting room, where a nurse greeted us and stayed with me throughout the process. She took the time to explain everything I could expect during both pre- and post-op, which helped ease any nerves. As anyone who's undergone surgery knows, the waiting period--from signing forms to anticipating the procedure--can be a bit anxiety-inducing. I was impressed with how efficiently everything went and how well the entire team communicated, keeping me informed and at ease throughout. Post-op recovery was handled with the same level of professionalism and care. Dr. Abrams, along with my nurse, visited me and my wife to walk us through the results of the surgery, medications, and what to expect in the days ahead. They need to improve procedures and not waste people's time and money. I talked with a team member over the phone yesterday to make an appointment. I asked them if they accept my insurance, and she said they did. I even gave my insurance number. The team member affirmed the office accepted it. So, I used a sick day for today to make the appointment. When I arrived at the office, a team member told me that they do NOT accept this insurance and that they actually need to see the insurance card first. Why didn't anyone tell me this before I took off? How can Princeton Orthopedics make up for wasting one of my limited sick days? I went through the trouble of pre-registering via online links yesterday. One step was to take a picture of my insurance card and upload it, which I did. Didn't anyone bother to look at that? They could have saved me the sick day and trip out there. Before I left, I asked them to recommend a nearby orthopedist, who does take my insurance. Instead of sharing one or two places, they said to check my insurance company's website. Tell me something I don't already know. After causing me inconvenience and loss of time and money, POA could have made the extra effort. It wasn't the front desk person who wouldn't help but the manager, who said to push me aside. Total rip off organization. They will not tell you any price of the sessions beforehand and then charge outrageously high bill. My wife Sukanya went there for her foot tendonitis related PT. Before the session she asked about the cost for the sessions many many times to all representatives available there. Everyone said they don't know but you will get bill. And we got bill - $1,152 for 3 sessions. In a 45 min sessions - the therapist talked about her own life, what's happening there, what she likes or dislikes - and charged ~$400 for each of those gossip sessions. No improvement on my wife's foot condition nonetheless. Absolutely nightmarish company. All show in front - no substance. read more

Impossible to request records from Share care. I requested X-rays to be put on disc and asked for a rush on it due to my appointment for MRI being the following week. All is which I was told to do by a person at sharecare who took my initial call. Submitted a request on a Monday. Called Wednesday to request that it be expedited and asked to pick up at drs office. I verified the address for pick up. Thursday when I called they told me they didn't see anything in the system that I asked for it to be expedited and they also said when ready they would be putting the disc in the mail to my home. Asked again to verify the delivery at the drs office (verified the address twice) and I needed to pick it up by Friday since my appointment was the following Monday. Called Friday and they said that it was being mailed to my home address. Couldn't understand since I requested multiple times that I needed to pick up ASAP at drs since my appointment was Monday. Asked them to expedite to my drs office and if I could pick up that Friday afternoon. They said they would put in the request. Called again later Friday afternoon and was told that I didn't check off the right box on the initial paperwork to get my X-rays placed on a disc. With each previous phone call I verified with each person I spoke to that I was requesting that my X-rays be placed on a disc and each person Confirmed that request, along with the delivery to my drs office for pick up. The last person I spoke to said I needed to fill out another application for the X-rays. Processing the paperwork would take 2-3 days. I did tell her that it was really frustrating requesting the same thing over and over again and getting confirmation each time that I would have the disc (and delivered to the drs office) only for her to tell me I needed to fill out the application again. What POOR service and lack of understanding at sharecare. I hope never to deal with them again. Granted each person was nice saying they would make sure my request went through but there was absolutely no follow through. And I will be going to my MRI appointment without the needed documents. read more

REVIEW OF DR MARC LAMB After a couple of steroid injections, 2 Carpal Tunnel surgeries, 4 trigger finger releases procedures, 1 metal plate for a broken wrist, 1 removal of said metal plate, and 1 broken finger, I feel more than confident to offer a review for Dr. Marc Lamb. Dr. Lamb is probably one of the best in his line of work and I would highly recommend. Besides his expert skills as a surgeon, he has a kindness and empathy that makes one feel at ease and is invaluable when you are the patient that fears a needle, let alone, surgery, and the post-surgical experiences that may follow. read more

We want to mention Dr. Brian Culp and his staff. Dr. Culp replaced my hip and recently replace my wife's knee. He is a perfectionist and demonstrates the highest level of care and after care. His staff is friendly and highly knowledgeable. There is always pain with joint surgery and Dr. Culp does whatever it takes to minimize it. If we need future procedures, he's our guy. read more

They value THEIR time...not yours. If they give you a time to arrive - add 30 minutes and arrive them to avoid sitting in waiting area consistently ( every visit so far ) over 30 minutes, without a single word of apology...no less even faking remorse. They move without any sense of urgency having casual conversations at stations around cake in nurses section. There is zero stress due to zero accountability for wasting your time. These reviews should be posted by all that experience this - - so the practice has reputation for horrible disregard for your time disclosed as they place the staff as priority. When the practice looses measurable patients due to patients not using practice to avoid not valuing their time...maybe the practice will wake up and commit to their time commitments - - as if the patients time is just as valuable as their (over) billable time. How do I know rep from practice reading this will roll their eyes thinking I "don't understand". Fact is that i'd at the heart of this practices measurable problem. read more

I had significant pain for two days, but checking on their website, I saw that Princeton orthopedics had a Saturday walk-in clinic. When I got there at 8:30 am, there was another gentleman waiting, but no staff and the office was dark. I waited till nine. No one came. I called the answering service. They didn't know anything. Avoid this place at all costs. They are not billing in an honest manner. I was not seen for let alone 10 min but they billed for 30 min! All to be told I need 6 weeks of PT (thankfully JAG PT has been fantastic.) $365.05 before my insurance in network savings of $128.60, leaving a balance $236.45. The doctors and most personnel were excellent. This review is about me requesting 2 documents from Tanisha, no last name or extension and Elizabeth Allen at 609-891-3181 x4992. I needed a Drs. note for my appts. on Jan. 13th and 19th 2022. Simple. And it was simple and easy getting the letter from my Dr. on the 13th. Tanisha made the process simple, easy and pleasant. Elizabeth Allen on the other hand, was rude, ignorant and made the process of getting a simple Drs. note, difficult and agonizing. Elizabeth Allen is horrible at her job, in my opinion. She has no business talking to any patient. She accused me of yelling at her when I had no reason to be upset with POA. I was out exercising when she called me. I didn't yell at her. Broke every law possible when it came to obtaining medical records. It took over 6 months to obtain my medical records and 5 attempts to get it right. One person is "no longer with the group" because of the actions as well. It is unfortunate when you have to have a lawyer write a letter threatening them for not releasing your own medical records in a timely fashion. It is also a shame when somebody in records tells you that that's exactly what they were waiting for! Do not expect much help from the online company they use for records and the staff will give you the run around when they realize they messed up. Do not go to vinnozzi. He is arrogant, condescending and ZERO bedside manner. Went for 3 month check up after hip replacement. I have continued to experience severe pain. When I told him, he called me drug seeker and discharged me from their practice. Went for second opinion at a fabulous practice (what a difference from vinnozzi). They did MRI (which they said vinnozzi should have done) and i have a labral tear...not drug seeking! I hope he has good lawyer because i do and am not gonna let him due this to anyone else. Now i need another surgery to fix his surgery. read more

The long and the short of it is that the doctors at this office were just fine (not incompetent but not good either) and this practice is poorly run. I had at least 10 visits to this office over the course of six months. I received my first bill at the end of that time, because I had asked for it, and realized I was being charged for services I hadn't received. Ultimately I was spending most of my hour there running through exercises on my own, using equipment that could be found in any basic gym. The visit costs skyrocketed -- they were very different from what I was told when I started making appointments. The billing department was hard to get any answers from. They seem to use avoidance as a tactic. I spoke with Kia from the billing department 4 different times. Was told I would be called back by a manager. Never was. I was also never given an email address or somewhere where I could log my grievances in writing. I would have been better off with YouTube videos. There are way better managed practices in the area. I would find somewhere else. read more

She listens and truly cares about the health and well being of her patients. I've been to many a doctor as of late, they all need to take a page or two from this good doctor. The PT staff is just awful. Completely impersonal, constantly chatting with each other, no attention the patient. No interest in the patient at all. Session takes may be 15 minutes - they charge for an hour. Keith (the robot who was my PT? more like leg masseur, something I can do myself really), did not help at all - total waste of time. They all should go and take classes with John Frank from Princeton Gym, down the 206. Stay away from this place. Go see John Frank. I worked at what used to once be a great practice. Ever since they merged, they have been terrible. Covid-19 rules are non existent here. They took a year to get us face masks and one piece of plexiglass in front of the counter 5 feet away from our faces. The pts literally just go around or under it. The drs are super nice and knowledgeable, but the management here is god awful. There is also no medical records since covid as it is all outsourced, so good luck getting anything. Better places to go from a pt and an employee standpoint. read more

Pros: Dr Jeffrey Abrams did an outstanding rotator-cuff repair surgery. He clearly explained the pros and cons of surgery and outcome. The support staff did their best in scheduling, and Dr Abrams's PA, Herbert Williams, was experienced and very helpful throughout the post-op experience. Cons: their 3rd party record-keeping agency, RRS Medical, was very difficult to deal with: unclear web info, very slow turn-around time. Just a mess. This is a review of Dr. W. Thomas Gutowski, MD. Affiliated with Princeton Orthopedics in Princeton, NJ. My overall rating for him would be 2 stars but not more. I had a bad right knee for many years, I had three meniscus surgeries over a long period. In April 2019 I injured my knee at the gym. I immediately knew that it was time for a knee replacement surgery. I made an appointment at Princeton Ortho and they gave a me an appointment with Dr Gutowski. I had to schedule a surgery date and the soonest I could get was July 16, 2019. On that day I had a full right knee replacement surgery at PennMedicine in Plainsboro, NJ - July 16, 2020. When I woke up in the Recovery Room Dr Gutowski came into my room and stated, "Blood went into your knee." At no time did he give me further information about that situation or why that occurred. When you are hospitalized you are on a heavy dose of pain killers, so I actually did not feel a lot of pain. Weeks passed and I spent 11-weeks in a captain's chair with my leg elevated up about 30+ inches. I was in pain that I describe as, "pain from another galaxy." I had 14-prior surgeries, again, I thought I knew about pain. I do not know when I saw Dr Gutowski after the surgery. All I remember is 11-weeks of pure, unadulterated Hell pain that I had never felt before. I repeatedly called Dr Gutowski and left voice mails for his staff - some were not so nice. He finally agreed to remove some of the fluid on October 11, 2019. He pulled out 22-CCs of blood fluid from the right knee, then he said, "There is still about 20 more CCs in the knee. I asked him, "Are you going to take it out?" He stated, "No, I'm going to leave it in." Over the course of the next two weeks much of my pain receded and I was able to walk better. However, it was not a full recovery and my knee remains at about 98% as of 22-July-2020. Both Dr Gutowski and another surgeon stated that it might take as long as 2-years to fully recover. At some point I asked Dr Gutowski to see another surgeon and I saw Surgeon #2 of Princeton Orthopedics. Surgeon #2 gave me a cortisone shot in the upper right shoulder in perhaps December 2019 or January 2020. By July 2, 2020, my upper arm pain became so intense that I went to see another Surgeon #3 at Princeton Orthopedics for my upper arm. He immediately sent me for an MRI of the right shoulder. That showed the following: 1. Tear of the rotator cuff 2. Tear of the bicep 3. Needed to shave the right shoulder area because of an impingement On July 6, 2020 I had to have right shoulder surgery with Surgeon #3 of Princeton Orthopedics. Here is what I am left with as of July 22, 2020: - Remaining pain in my right knee on both sides of the knee. If I walk for exercise, I have to wear the same knee brace that I wore before the surgery. - Venus insufficiency in my right leg that leads to swelling of the right leg and also effects the left leg. I never had that before the July 16, 2019 surgery date. - Surgically repaired right shoulder as of July 6, 2020 that will take two or more months to heal. Be advised. read more

After waiting over an hour 15 minutes to see Dr. Prodromo he told me that he could not perform the aspiration on my Bakers cyst, that I would need to see another Doctor. When I called to make the appointment I specified that I wanted to see a doctor that could perform what Dr. McGrath had done in that office almost 2 years ago. Dr. McGrath is no longer with this practice so I accepted the person doing the scheduling recommendation to see Dr. Prodromo. He had a very smug attitude saying things like "you have to live with it" or "you don't want to be stuck with a needle all the time, this will just come back". I was disgusted and feel like I wasted my time today with no resolve. Previous to today I had good experiences with this practice but will not see this doctor again. I did make the appointment with the doctor that can do the procedure but I am not sure I will go back there in 2 weeks. read more

Find another practice With any luck this practice will be investigated and shut down for insurance fraud. We recently had an experience of going there for a totally unnecessary appointment, sitting there for an hour, only to be learn the procedure could not be done, and we had to come back for a follow up appointment to get the real work done. This sounds to me as if they are running a scheme here. Like most physicians, they have no idea, nor do they care, about the time and money their patients waste on this sort of nonsense. If you have a real orthopedic condition, go to New York or Philadelphia. Don't waste your time here. read more

I read the past reviews and that was far from my experience. The staff was courteous and efficient, they fit me in the same day I called for an exam and X-ray to address my problem. Dr. Mizrachi was very good, listened to what I said and throughly explained his analysis perhaps much more simple than I need it (studied biomechanics) however for a person who doesn't know I would find that very useful. The exam was short maybe 5 minutes total but what can you expect that's all the time it takes for a minor issue. I was in and out in 45 minutes including waiting time and getting authorization for MRI sent and my X-ray on CD. Sorry but that's about perfect execution on time. I would recommend them simply for an office that Is efficient, professional, and has equipment on site. read more

How do you pick a fight with a runner? Tell them they need to take a break from running. But tis was my reality back on a cold February morning when I found msyelf sitting at Princeton Orthopedics with Dr. Stacey Miller-Smith delivering the news. She's kind, warm, and listens to the patient. She is empathetic and has an honest concern for her patient.....not always standard care in health services. They have MRIs, gym, rehab services onsite and all appointments were scheduled within days of each other. The back-office folks (billing/medical records) have always been prompt with requests. I was ultimately referred to phyisical therapy, but Dr. Miller-Smith continues to follow-up about my progress. When I was down and out about my aches and pains, Dr. Miller-Smith and the staff at Princeton Orthopedic made me feel a lot better read more

Dr. Abrams did total shoulder replacement surgery on me. I am less than 1 month out of surgery and am in little or no pain. My physical therapists are very impressed with the progress I am making and account for the excellent surgery. Herb is exceptional. Worst practice imaginable. Forget about getting in to see a specialist for knee back foot etc. you will see a practitioner first who will then send you to a non surgical doctor. It's like trying to get in to see the Wizard! 3 different people at this practice gave me three different opinions. The non surgical doctor was rude and has a horrible bed side manner. If there isn't an immediate surgical opportunity you'll be dismissed quick. Go elsewhere! read more

I spoke with the receptionist this evening and was treated extremely rudely. She cut me off mid sentence and said I couldn't be helped and then hung up on me right when "office hours closed at 5".
