They'll do advice, resales, sell components and equipment or repair jobs. For deep recovery, they referred me out. Bao is very personable and gives a very honest vibe. Pleasant and informative and doesn't over-promise. Will give options at a couple steps if applicable (ie replacement costs, recovery costs). From the beginning of our network in 2009 to now, they have provided invaluable advice and confirmation. Yes, they will be more expensive (slightly). Yes, they will use brands not sold at big box stores. But, they will know them. I cannot thank them enough. I was in need of immediate help with my computer after downloading a virus. Tyler, the person I dealt with, was extremely professional and did not make me feel like a dum-dum (I already felt like one because I am one). He also answered my email immediately. I dropped my poor sick computer off that evening after giving him all the information I had. He said he'd call me about it tomorrow (a Friday) and told me about the rates. Again, very courteous and pleasant to deal with. He did call back the next day and I had my computer home and plugged within 24 hours of leaving it with him (there is also a new customer discount that I didn't know about but that he applied to our bill). And they lived happily ever after except that I then made some bad choices and ended up doing a system restore that took it back to, you guessed it, after I downloaded the virus and before he cleaned it up. UGH. I emailed him, he called me, he fixed the computer and it was home again that night. (He also explained how the virus was able to return in a way that made sense.) I would not hesitate to call AndersonPC if I had another problem (also, I am no longer allowed to mess with my computer).

Great thing was, I didn't even have to take a bus to get here! This place is conveniently located on State Street, a fitting spot for students who go to UW- Madison. The repair took a few days because they had to order the part but once it came in, the actual replacement only took a couple hours. By the time I got out of class, my laptop was as good as new. I did get a used part (because it was cheaper and I'm not rich) so there were small scratches but not that many (2-3 perhaps) to actually complain about because they aren't distracting let alone an eyesore. I liked that they did have the option to get a used part, though, instead of getting a brand new one for way more. I did wait a few days before submitting this review because I would've jumped on yelp as soon as I got home from the store but I figured I should wait to see if any malfunctions occurred before I start raving about my experience. Lo and behold, it's been almost a week and my computer is still doing great. One thing I'd like to point out is that the people behind the desk have great costumer service. The guy that I communicated with added some additional services that were of no cost like lightly cleaning my keyboard and adding a screen protector which I found to be really nice. I've already recommended my friends to this place and will come back if I ever need their services again (but hopefully not for my sake).
