So tired of calling and having to wait 24 hours for a call back. Horrible customer service

If I could put a 0 on rating my experience I would. That was not a choice. Having experienced problems for over a year when they took over the contract. Nothing was picked up again yesterday. The animals got into the trash bag overnight and some of the contents are on the dirt road (I live in the country). After trying all of the names and numbers, messages left, and online requests made, Priority finally picked yard waste, recyclables, and trash were picked up. Unfortunately, there is trash on the road had fallen out. I refuse to pick it up. If they had picked it up on time, I wouldn't have to. I called them again and told them they had to pick it up. It was their fault. I have spent half a day with this problem. I have more important things to do than being on hold most of the day. This is getting ridiculous. All anyone gets is excuses. I am done with that. read more

They frequently miss pick ups. Phone calls are literally torture. You are placed on hold while some awful music blasts in your ear. I mean it. It is some lyrics about "I love my trash...!" It is disturbing! They do not return your call as promised. Their website is is so bad they do not even recognize the city of 800,000 people that I live in. These clowns are as bad as GFL only worse. I hope you are able to find another company because you don't want these jokers. read more

You are a horrible trash removal company!! YOU DON'T PICK UP!!!!! My trash has been sitting in front of my house since Sunday night for my pick up on Monday! It is now Friday and its still there!!! After 40 plus years in Chesterfield this was the first time I called the township to complain about this trash company. I have Never complained about Any company, or service before. This company is inconsistent and many times my garbage is still in the street the next day. I had to drag my FULL trash can back into the garage this week. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! Trash was left on my front yard for a week, and every time you try and call it's a 4 hour wait. They will not adjust your bill for not doing their job, and the township does nothing. We are stuck paying this POS company regardless if they do their job or not!!! NO SERVICE, NO QUALITY, NO VALUE. Ever since this HORRIBLE company picked up the contract our streets and yards are littered with garbage they let blow all around nearly every week. 9 times out of 10 they don't pick up all three: trash, recycling, or compost/yard bags or combination of the sorts weekly. Their workers smoke and look like trash themselves...they even break bins and I'm supposed to get the truck #, what time of day, and take pictures of the broken items and then email them through some horrible form that doesn't work for them to CONSIDER processing my claim?! Dumping recyclables into garbage truck! This is the fourth time that I have witnessed this and called both priority and township office! The materials that I put in to be recycled are easily recyclable! Glass and cans, and papers! I do not want this stuff going into a landfill! Also, I am tired of taking my dog for a walk after priority has picked up, the amount of garbage and litter that has either missed the truck or flown out is appalling! It is not my job to pick up after them but my neighborhood is where I live and I don't like it being "trashed "! The people that they hire don't give a darn! Management doesn't give a darn! Trucks are speeding well above the 25mph speed limit on neighborhood streets. When I shouted to slow down as the truck sped west, the driver came back driving east and took the opportunity to blow his horn long and loud at me. Near a local grocery store with adults kids crossing the street. I plan to lodge a complaint with the city and the company. read more

The service this year, 2025 has been completely unreliable. Pickups are made late in the evening or not at all. Trash should have been picked up yesterday the only pickup was recycle. The garbage is still at the curb and with the intense heat the smell is horrible. Macomb Township should definitely look for a different company to provide service. read more

I live in Sterling Heights and we are using this company starting May 1, 2024. Their policies regarding the 1 container for refuse is in and of itself garbage. Not a fan, not happy about the switch Also recycling is actually more harmful for the planet, most recycled items can't be and are sent to a standard dump any way, There are now twice as many trucks on the roads polluting the atmosphere, twice as many process stations, etc.... This recycle bin thing is well,..... garbage too! read more

Ignore the 1 star bc they deserve 0. 4th time they missed just our house for trash on our street. They've missed our whole street about 9 times total now as well. You call and are on hold for 30 minutes for them to tell you they'll come today, well that's what you've told me the last two days and yet here we are with my can full of trash at the end of my driveway still. Hopefully our township fines them soon as well bc they are truly a trash company. read more

They missed pickups for whole weeks. Regular trash bins, and Compost pick up were out for over a week and the compost was out long enough to kill the lawn it was sitting on. I called them 3 times and was told they would send a truck to pick up and they did not. I could see once in a while this happening, but it was over 8 times in the past few months. I actually started documenting this by taking pictures of the trash still out 6 days after it was supposed to be taken. not just one home but whole blocks. read more

It could hardly be worse. they throw around the garbage cans, break them, steal them, and assume no responsibility. Half the trash remains in the bin. They empty 2 out of 3 cans left the third one they knocked down full and on its size. Why wasn't it emptied with the other 2.

This is the worst company I've ever worked with. We paid 500 dollars for a dumpster to be dropped off. It was a day late which made us waste labor help. Now it's been over a week late of them coming back to pick it up which has hindered us of getting another dumpster from a different company. Don't ever book anything through them. Awful to deal with. Refused to take our lawn bags 2 weeks in a row due to some dirt with the grass clippings. When called about it they stated they would put in a ticket about it. Never heard back from them. Second week they came by saw the bags and just drove past. Did not even stop. Called back again and they were very rude. read more

I have been calling and using your chat support since the first week in July, 2024. Because you have not normally picked-up on the schedule service day of Friday and there has been approximately 8-9 weeks of totally missed pick ups greater than 3-4 days. You did not picked Friday 08.23.2024, Friday 08.30.2024 and tomorrow will be Friday 09.06.2024 I know this is a holiday week but it will be 3 weeks this Friday! And I have called and spoken to 4-5 different Managers and sent about the same support tickets. Please no more messages about you are short with working trucks and I'm not asking for a credit. Horrible company. Do NOT do business with them. They bought out our subdivision's trash collection contract from GFL effective 7/1. We're supposed to have weekly pickup. But today is 7/11 and they've refused to come out. The entire neighborhood's trash has been piled up on the street waiting to be picked up. Trash is blowing around, the smell is awful. But numerous calls to them have resulted in nothing. After being on hold for close to an hour, a "Norman" at Priority Waste gave our HOA a blow-off answer saying, "We'll get to it as soon as possible." That was 4 days ago. Abysmal company who refuses to honor the contract. We're already exploring new bids from alternative vendors. These people are utterly unreliable. Stay far away from them. read more

We live in New baltimore they never pickup on time, they pass my house 5 to 6 times and they still don't pickup my trash on the scheduled day, customer service sucks never speak to a live person. Horrible and verging on criminal. I wish I could rate Priority Waste LLC lower than 1 star. Their pick-up service is horrible. Pick-up is not consistent, I never know if they are coming back later in the pick-up day or will come back the next day. Their trucks leak. Trash is often left scattered on lawn or street. Priority Waste's customer service is even worse. I never received a bill for 2025 and always paid annually is the past. I just received my first bill for 2025 with two months late fees attached. I tried to call and system automatically put me in a call back que. After a day and a half of no call back from Priority, I tried to call again and the system told me I was still in the call back que. About four hours after my second call, I received a call from Priority Waste Customer Service (should be called Customer NO Service). I explained that this was the first bill I received and should not have to pay late fees. I was told any amount not paid on current bill would be added to my Property Taxes. WHAT A SCAM!! I suspect this how they are passing a price increase. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!! I have no recourse as Customer Service would not let me talk to anyone else and I can't find another number to call. read more

Priority Waste is TERRIBLE. Rude Customer Service Rep named Dave who wants to argue with you instead of resolving the situation. They are not picking up all my trash each week and they promise to come back out and get it and they do not! Hence another phone call! They are rude and you are in their phone system for hours! I've had to call over 10 times regarding one missed week, left in phone Hell listening to a song about loving trash over and over and over and over! terrible customer service!! I moved several months ago yet I'm still being charged for services I'm not using! I've tried to call and speak to someone but all it says is they have high call volume and if you don't select a call back the system hangs up on you!!! WTF?!?! I've requested call backs, sent messages and tried to "chat" with an agent online but that was no help at all!!! I was charge an NSF fee even though no funds ever came out of my account and the money was there. I tried to explain the software glitch their company had, but was told I was lucky because they usually charge 50.00 The representative also told me that even the company President would be unable to reverse the charge. Please bring back GFL! read more

I tried multiple times to contact Billing at Priority Service to obtain service at my address. I was kept on hold for ever, even around 8:30 AM. I emailed couple of times. No answers whatsoever. read more

Terrible. I would give zero stars. Switched from GFL to Priority in July 2024 and the driver told my husband they don't get out of the truck to pick up extra garbage bags that aren't in the bin. THAT'S NEW and varies by team because the driver in another area of Shelby got out of the truck and did it at my mothers house in Shelby Twp the next day. I called Priority and they never answer and it eventually hangs up. Online messaging service won't even load. Shelby Twp needs to correct this for it's taxpayers and find another vendor. read more

So far, Priority has done a decent job. A glass broke during the trash collection process, a young picked up the pieces that were large enough to pickup with his hands and disposed the broken glass. Why is that so important. #1, it helped someone not have a flat tire. #2, the gesture showed professionalism. #3, it always pays to do the right thing even when you think no one is watching. #4, its a senior community. I know this a new business for Clinton Township, but so many garbage guys are out picking up trash and I am afraid they may get hurt while doing it in the dark. Please do something about their safety. Happy to say the trash pickup is getting better. read more

I called for help with making a payment on the website and failing 4 times in a row. They just make me feel like I am crazy and inept.

Service is horrible, Drivers are picky about what they want to take. If they miss the bucket trash blows all over neighborhood. Billing errors and don't get me started on the automated phone system its a joke !!!! good luck if you need to contact them for ANY reason...
