The prism Haunted house is located in Westminster Mall. It is a dual haunt located by the Hauntington manor. You can choose to do a combo ticket or just purchase tickets for one. Prism ticket is about $22 and up depending on the night. I loved how this haunt you were able to take a fun photo opp before entering because otherwise cameras are not allowed. So glad we got a memory! The visuals were amazing and the story line was fun and immersive. We had the goal to save humanity! I just thought the only ding was I wish it was longer. Prism is a spooky maze right next to HAUNTington Beach Manor (who has their own separate Yelp page with my review similar to this one). We went tonight (the only Wednesday open) as a group of 6. Check their calendar to see available dates / times. We purchased combo tickets for HBM & Prism which are the only 2 mazes. Follow their IG for random promo codes! I do like how we had to purchase within a time slot which I think helps minimize the line. We waited in line for HBM for about 22 minutes with about 5-6 groups ahead of us. They are located at the old Sears building at Westminster Mall which is near John's Incredible Pizza & JC Penney. You can only enter from the outside of the mall, not the inside as pictured from previous years. Parking is free and plentiful. You can sign waivers on site. The waivers aren't allowing them to touch you or do any 17th Door type stuff involving fluids and insects.. just the typical liability release stuff. You can read the entire page while in line. You actually hand them your signed waiver at the very beginning inside the maze! After HBM, we lined up for Prism which was really fun! A scare actor came out and kept us on our toes while we waited to enter the main building. You get a chance to take photos in the first room with another costumed character before entering the maze. Not gonna lie, I was on my toes while posing for these photos thinking that something/someone's gonna pop out of no where! It is more interactive and has nice surprise scares in there. The interactive part does not involve anything crazy or involve them touching you. The story set up, scary masks, make up and the scare actors were very impressive. It took less than 10 minutes to complete but it's probably because we ran away from the creepy faces a little! I learned that the Prism haunt used to be a home haunt. I remember seeing their post during the first pandemic Halloween that they were providing a safe, outdoor show experience which I appreciate! Side note when buying tickets: Make sure you screen shot your QR code on the website after purchasing! I didn't, and the staff said the QR code doesn't always show up on the confirmation email for iPhones. I had to forward my ticket email to her then take a photo of my QR code from her phone. We all thoroughly enjoyed both HBM & Prism! You can tell how much work was put into everything. Although we were suuuper scared of going in with just our group, it made the experience better! For the first time in a month I actually got up and went out and did something. I went to the prism haunt show. Where a mad scientist shows you his creations. For a house haunt show, this was amazing.. the story they told was so good. And most importantly they were super safe. Everything was under the guidelines to host a haunt in Southern California. Not once did I feel uncomfortable with the amount of people or scare actors. Every scare actor was covered and did not go past 6ft apart. They even had a little walk down to the house where you walk by monsters which brought back memories from last year. This was something I needed. Thank you prism house for an amazing night. Tickets are super cheap too! I recommend this as they really did a good job with the circumstances that were brought onto them this year. read more

What a fun haunt! Very well put together, the scare actors did a great job, and the gun control guy is hilarious! You get to take a photo in the beginning which I think is a very nice little touch to the experience! I visited them when they were at the home haunt before, and am very impressed with how far they have come! I take away a star because this experience is very fun, BUT short lived. We went through within 6 minutes time. And we waited 15 minutes to get in. It would Be even better if it was a little longer! read more

This place is incredible. The professionalism, special effects, and storyline rival the mazes you'd see at Universal or Knott's. It's a quick experience, but it's filled with several great scares and "wow" moments. We went on opening night and waited about 45 minutes to get in. It was cool to see such a large crowd on the first night. The volunteers were fun and friendly, and you could tell they were having a blast. I haven't seen many Halloween enthusiasts that come close to the level of detail, scare-factor, and storytelling as the Prism Haunted House. As a local haunt, its hard to know what to expect, but it's safe to say the 2018 haunt blew us away. (Another huge plus, IT'S FREE?!). In previous years I have enjoyed attending various Los Angeles Halloween haunts and events, all of which have been paid to enter. The production quality of the Prism Haunt for a free event shows true dedication to the art and adoration of truly terrifying Halloween haunting. The haunt was comprised of some impressive props and set work, those which I am sure compare to professional production sets. Some folks in line mentioned they were coming back for their 2nd and 3rd scares which is saying a lot about some of the surprises! We are so excited to check out year two which is bound to have even more up its sleeve in terms of plot twists and increased fear factor around every corner. read more

Ok, we found this online and for COVID, we chose the first open haunted house near by and for the price and reviews, it seemed great. After my experience, the website is VERY deceiving. This is an awesome experience for someone under the age of 10. It is located in a residential neighborhood but you can tell they put a lot of work and effort into the decor of the house. It is very well done. The special effects really made it tie together and for a home haunt show, it was impressive. That being said, there is no walk through, or anything like a regular haunted house. Also, no one checked if we bought tickets. Again, if you have kids, go for it, it's a good COVID spooky season idea for families but if you are looking for that real haunted house experience this is not for you. read more

Each room connects to the previous room as you journey through beginning to end. Last year was all about a bio-genetics lab gone awry. Hey doc, you have any gene therapies for increasing bravery? The story telling makes the experience way more memorable and engaging. David, the insane guy that builds this haunt, puts his sweat and blood into making it fun for everyone with surprises around every corner. Prism Haunted House is very well made. It's interactive with a great story line. I would suggest making each room darker. When I went last night, the rooms were bright enough that I was able to see each monster before they tried to scare me. Also, you'd want to be in a small group. Enter each room with just your group. Do not follow a group before you, or else you'll see everything happening to other people before it's your turn. Timing is important. And last thing just a heads up, this maze is pretty short, but I still say it's worth the money. read more

This is probably the most awesome haunted house I've been to yet. They certainly go for quality over quantity since they're working with limited space. The scares they do have are quite frightening and very unique!! I think they change it up every year and keep adding more and revising the past ones. 10/10 next level awesome. Super confusing and not worth the price of admission. We couldn't see half of what was happening! Upon standing in our designated spot, the show began immediately and without warning. We had no idea that this was the actual show though. It seemed like some sort of intro. Then, after several minutes of not being able to see half of what emwas happening because of visual obstructions, it was over..... They also have you stand in the middle of the street at night, in the dark to watch the show as occasional traffic rolls by. A real head scratcher. If you're going to charge half of a movie ticket for admission prices, you should really dial it all in. This ain't worth it folks. And to neighbors of this home - are these guys kicking anything back to you for creating all the noise and traffic obstructions? They're certainly charging enough for this thing to be able to. read more

While they clearly put effort into the story and overall design, the actual execution inside the maze was a joke compared to the outside hype. The "monsters" (which there was only one inside) kept taking 10 min breaks with a line that stretched a block, and the workers kept letting people cut in line either on purpose or ignorance, neither of which would surprise me. More effort was put into the lighting than any of the scares and set building. It was such a disappointment considering I was really expecting this to be worth it but a forty-five minute wait for a five minute walkthrough is bordering on criminal. Do not waste your time, you'd get better scares walking thorough Costume Castle. read more
