I came in with the goal to purchase sunglasses for an upcoming trip. Dr. Rosie Wong showed the various selections that they had in store and gave me the space to explore and try them on. She was knowledgeable about the trends and types of sunglasses that suit low bridge noses, which was helpful for me. The sunglasses turned out to be more affordable because she found out that my insurance gives me a credit for non prescription glasses. I didn't know I had this perk. I'm grateful that she caught that benefit! Once I chose the sunglasses, she offered to do an eye exam. I rarely get my eyes examined because I don't have any eye concerns. However, the process was efficient and educational. The assistant did a couple initial tests on my eyes and made sure the equipment was cleaned before we began. After she completed the tests, Dr. Wong did additional tests to gather more data about the overall health of my eyes. It was fun to learn more about my eyesight. She was gentle, patient and very friendly. I liked how the technology was advanced and efficient. I'll definitely come back for an annual checkup! read more

I appreciate her honest explicit instruction that she has enough customers after three years of grand opening. The front desk girl was not nice and the guy had flat affect. New patient here. I called in to make an appointment and asked some questions about out-if-pocket costs for a regular eye exam and contact lenses exam. They gave me a more than fair price and made an appointment. Walked in on my appointed date/time and the place was clean and quiet, and didn't wait long for Dr. Wong. I had my eyes scanned with a new type of tech and it was really cool to see my eyeballs The exam was very thorough and Dr. Wong took my job into consideration when discussing my eyes and the glasses/contacts that would work for me. She was very clear and kind and answered all my questions. She also had a briefcase with a bunch of different lenses for me to try on to make sure the lenses work as they should! At the end she gave me some temporary contacts while we wait for my more accurately prescribed contact lenses to come in to test out. I went to Prism because I needed a Dr. that was in network with my vision insurance ( VSP) for my usual eye exam and a new pair of glasses. The staff at Prism was wonderful! Although I won't need to go back anytime soon, ( as I just got two new pair of glasses) I would definitely choose Prism again for my eye care needs. Dr Wong was very thorough and took the time to explain the exam results to me. Mary was very patient in assisting me with my choice of frames, types of coatings etc and suggested some choices that were "outside of the box " for me that I wound up loving! They're always very nice and accommodating especially when it comes to needing my frames adjusted or adjusting the little nose pad pieces. I haven't been back to an optometrist since pre-covid and knew it was time to see one when things started looking blurry even whilst wearing my glasses! Dr. Wong is honestly the best optometrist I have ever seen. She is compassionate, kind, knowledgeable, and explains everything with such patience! She is meticulous with her exams and I felt incredibly confident with the care she was giving me. Most importantly, she was so patient when I struggled to differentiate between "1 or 2". I used to feel pressured at other optometry offices to give a quick answer but with Dr Wong, it never felt that way at all! From calling to schedule my initial appointment to filling out my new patient paperwork online to my actual appointment date, everything was carried out so smoothly! I couldn't give higher praise. The office itself is such a warm, inviting, and clean space with complimentary drink offerings and a designated children's play section (such as thoughtful touch)! Mary and Annie were very helpful not only with intake but also with helping to choose which frames would look best on me. The frames they carry are so trendy and in-style (they have Carin frames for any kpop fans out there)! My three boys ages 7, 10, 12 are normally a little apprehensive with health exams, but they didn't have any problems or worries here because they were well taken care. They had age-appropriate diagnostic exams for my boys and they felt comfortable enough with Dr. Wong and the staff that my husband and I didn't have to sit with them during the exam. I called in to make an appointment, and it was near effortless. They verified my insurance before I came in, which saved us all lots of time, and no headaches to deal with. Friendly staff and very welcoming decor. Drinks and a play space for my toddler were even available! As for the exam process, itself... The pre-tests consisted of the usual, in addition to this new, futuristic machine that took a extremely detailed photo of my eyes, which Dr. Wong gladly provided a thorough explanation of during the exam. The usual "1 or 2" stuff, but the Dr did not rush me nor make me feel pressured into picking one or the other. And when either looked identical or close, she provided other options to get me to the best prescription. Lots of frames options, and all are pretty modern and stylish. Reasonable pricing too, in terms of what gets covered by insurance and the upgrades. I normally get progressive and AR, which usually does minimal to reduce glare and whatnot due to my astigmatism. However, even with the cheapest option for AR here, I can honestly say that the glare is greatly reduced compared to my past glasses from other offices. You know how anti-reflective is supposed to reduce the "starry" shine from looking at street lights at night? Now I see that "halo" that they always say you're supposed to be seeing with proper anti-reflective. FINALLY -- after having worn glasses with AR for 15+ years. I'm not sure what brand they use here, but definitely get it!!! I'll definitely return next year, and would gladly recommend this office. read more

Couldn't be happier stumbling across Prism, while having lunch next door at Yi Me, newly opened by Dr. Wong, whom not only had a wealth of experience, but also just so pleasant and patient as with Mary, the optician. Super welcoming environment with a lounge and full beverage station that you don't ever see at other optometrists. (Such GREAT hospitality!!) Selection is enough (simplicity is key and perfect for me) not overwhelming (NOTE: they don't carry the designer brands (Gucci, Prada, Dior or the likes) and more functionality with a focus on eyes/opticals. I've had Dr. Wong as my optometrist for over 4 years and I'm so glad that she finally opened her own practice! The space is so nice and inviting. She's very thorough in providing eye exams and gave me a retina exam to make sure they were healthy. I've never seen my retinas before so that was cool. She takes her time with the exams and does a great job explaining what each process and machine is for so I understand what's going on. She also gave me some free trials for different contacts! I normally stick to one brand, but she always recommends me other brands within my price range that I can try. I ended up ordering my contact lenses with her office because they take care of everything for me regarding insurance and she also gave me the paperwork for a rebate for my contacts :) I didn't get new glasses, but I noticed that they have a wide selection of glasses and sunglasses for Asian faces. I know a lot of people have a hard time finding frames that fit a narrower face. They have a popular Korean brand as well. It was a pleasant visit to Prism Optometric. My retinal image was taken by a machine prior to seeing Dr Wong. This gave Dr Wong a much wider digital view of my retina. I don't recall having this done at other optometries. I had the eye exam similar to other optometrists. However with the help of retinal image taken, Dr Wong took the time to explain the health conditions of my eyes. I was going to order both the regular spectacles and sunglasses. Mary, the optician, suggested a pair of glasses with sunglasses as clip on. Unlike the Walmart clip on sunglasses, this pair has both the clip on and magnet.
