It was very easy to make an appointment over the phone and the location was also easy to find. I ended up getting a hydrafacial from Alice who was very sweet and knowledgable. It was my first time getting the procedure so I asked a ton of questions which she patiently answered. She explained what she was doing through every step of the process and made sure I wasn't in pain or uncomfortable the entire time. The entire procedure took a little under an hour and the coolest part was at the end when she showed me all the junk that had been extracted from my face! I had a couple of other skin concerns which I asked Alice about afterwards. She gave me an assessment, recommended that I see another specialist and then hooked me up with a ton of skincare samples that might help. She also gave me her number and told me to call anytime if I had questions about any of the skincare products or after-care procedure. They didn't explain to me at all why my request was continuously denied, these are women btw, you would think they would have a bit more of an understanding when it comes to pregnancy losses, and pregnant women with autoimmune diseases. Anyways, they lost three patients today. This is honestly the very first issue I have had over here so it's really disappointing. I have no issues with the doctors I have seen, ( Dr Pollard and Dr Jones-Moon, who actually did tell me two different things in the situation) but their female nurses and office manager both have awful bedside manner considering their professions. I and my mother spoke to these women today, and they are super caddy and unprofessional. Helps speed things along for urgent care - which you can also do here. If you need to use an Urgent Care clinic, you can. However, I've been able to get same-day urgent care appointments when needed, also. My daughter has some particularly challenging medical needs. Her primary care physician works well with the specialists at MUSC.

I went for a routine physical, I mentioned some recent depression issues, and suddenly my preventive physical, that insurance covers, cost me about $500, as it was no longer billed as a physical, but as a depression treatment. I see someone else for that, don't need this MD's advice. The office would not change the billing charge. Another time I stopped in with chest pain; my doctor was out of the office, but other doctors were there. Well, I was turned away. It was better for them to not have any liability, send me on my way, instead of having another doctor take a look. HORRIBLE!!!

Next time we'll go out of our way to avoid the office staff here who acted like we were interrupting their wonderful morning of sitting and staring at computer screens. I have over 25 years in customer service & am not the easiest to please but I found everyone, especially Dr. Labotka & her assistant. I was extremely comfortable with everyone even the phlebotomist & I have such a fear of needles that I can pass out when giving blood (they had another woman hold my hand, talk to me to distract me & it worked!). Also Dr. Labotka's assistant (sorry I forgot your name) was warm, funny & is the best person that has ever given me a shot. I am so glad I changed doctors & am even going to get the flu shot for the first time (I am 67 so that's a biggie!)!?!
