I do not have a regular nail tech I come to here, because each nail tech provides detailed, wonderful service. My nails always last a long time, and they always look exactly how I like. They are a favorite in the community, as they have maintained a space in Winter Park Village despite all the changes that have occurred over the years. This has been my second visit to this location and I was pleased with the results. I came with a group of girls as a part of a bridal shower. We had reservations and as soon as we walked in, they had everything ready for us. Today, my tech was Andy and he was very good. I got a full set of acrylics with gel. I had a reference picture and Andy color matched it and gave me exactly what I wanted. He was very quick, clean, and asked questions and made sure I liked what I got. He made some conversation, but also let things get quite and relaxing. My only complaint about Pristine is that I feel like it could be just a bit cleaner overall. Do NOT go here. Instead of soaking nails off they just peel them off by wedging a nail tip underneath the acrylic and your natural nail. I had two bloody nails before I had to walk out. It was incredibly painful and I had asked them to soak them off and they said no and just started peeling them. Anyone who knows anything about nails knows that you NEVER peel off nails. It's so disappointing to walk into an establishment and the technicians are not trained. :( save yourself some time and pain and an infection and do not go here. read more

Beware of upcharges. First I was told the extra charge was for polish removal. I only had regular polish on my toes. Then when I questioned, the manager said it was for callous removal. Not true. I didn't have any and no special tools were used. Staff didn't offer any beverages to us ( not busy , it was a Monday and we had an appointment for 3 pedicures) . I found this business randomly when I was in the area and needed a gel manicure, and I left pleasantly surprised! I really appreciate the fact that the nail techs file and then soak off the gel polish before lightly drilling off anything that's remaining, instead of using the drill at the highest setting and hurting my nails. All materials used are thoroughly cleaned between uses, and the attention to detail is outstanding - my nails last 3 weeks without chipping! Everyone I've met is very kind and welcoming as well. Service was horrible. Nails were peeling/chipping/lifting quickly after I was pressured to get a design they insisted on vs what I requested because they couldn't do what I wanted. Called them and explained the situation where several nails needed help I was told I could come back for a free fix since it had barely been one week. Although when I got there, they became argumentative with each other. Then they began arguing with me saying there was nothing they could do. They then tried meeting me "in the middle" and said they would fix one nail but not the rest of the nails that were coming off. I said that was silly because I'm still losing the other ones and then they went back to there was nothing they could do. That phrase was repeated over and over again until I spoke with a manager. At that point, this extremely rude lady next to me told me to stop talking and just take the one nail and shut up or leave because she didn't want to listen to me. She was mean, kept going on, insulting me, and badgered me until I was tearing up and then she asked me to leave. To the manager, I said "I drove 45 minutes for you to help, which is what we spoke about over the phone you would do and now I'm being treated unfairly." He gave me a $20 refund, after spending hundreds of dollars here, and told me to leave. If I could give them negative 10 stars I would. That mean lady customer must've been "someone important" because I've never seen a room get so quiet when she spoke so rudely to me, yet no one said anything to her and the manager sided with her. Beware of her. The communication in here is horrendous. The vibe was atrocious. Never again. read more

I love this place. I see Ava for my hands. She does a really great job with the SNS dip powder. She's very precise & makes sure it isn't thick or lumpy. She's also great at not knicking me with the drill, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I like David for pedicures. Their Signature pedicure is an hour long & includes paraffin & a hot stone massage. It is so worth it! Post Covid, they've taken great measures to ensure everyone's safety. They have the plexiglass at all the hand stations, making everyone wear masks, wash your hands as soon as you come in & limiting the amount of people in the salon. I've been going to pristine for years. They've started to charge for every little thing you do, so as long as you're okay with that then this is your place. It's an extra $5 to remove the previous nail polish (even if you got them done there), an extra $5 for them to shape them (Yes, to file your nails. Not sure how to avoid this charge). Their end product is good, but when places get like this it's hard for me to support. I get prices are increasing, so increase your service price, not including all these ridiculous add ons with a service that it should be included. read more

To start off with me being the only student in the salon I won't begin rating with the "because I'm Black" theory... Let's just say I've notice within the atmosphere the working lower working class doesn't get the same treatment as the "wife spending rich husbands money class". I'll be glad to elaborate on that, right after school I decided to get my nails done since I always see their sign outside while heading to Publix during our lunch break. Which enticed me to go get a fill in. Due to it being my first time using their services I didn't see any prices posted so after I chose my nail color (because I decided to just do regular polish because I was on budget for this visit) I verbally asked my nail tech how much was it for a fill in. He told me $5, okay cool decent price for just a fill in and since I previously had gel polished French tip nails so it was an extra $5 to remove the gel, I was like okayyy still excited because it's looking real affordable and I love tipping people their worth for their services! That means more for them in THEIR pockets. So the nail tech asks do you want them cut down and I agreed to have them cut so he said that would be $30 the he pursued to "persuade" me to get gel because it lasts longer that's when I told him don't worry about the color let's just do clear polish and cut down he says okay well that will be $25. Still confused I just said okay well don't worry about polishing at all just refill and cut down. He still said everything would be $25. So I didn't rebuttal nor argue I paid the $25 for just a refill and cut down NO POLISH and I still tipped him and I left and DO NOT PLAN TO COME BACK EVER. I understand the effects of "inflation" but there's a difference between actually raising the taxes on services/products and taking advantage of people. I only came to them due convince since I go to school across the street and I live in the Millennia area. Came here a few times already. I love Amy, she is the best! She really takes her time with my nails, attention to detail is on point! She's always so patient when I'm taking forever to choose my color(s). And the very best thing about Amy is that she has not burned my fingers with the sander tool. I swear I have never not had even just a small part of my finger burned by one of those things. Amy has done my nails about 3 times already and has never burned them. Thank you Amy! I've been here about 8 times and it's very hit and miss. I think after this last time though, I need to find a new place. My most recent visit involved me choosing a special 4D chrome color from one of their books. Obviously with the chrome effect, there's a base color and a special top coat. I guess they don't know their own chrome options and what color goes with what topcoat because when she started painting my nails, it looked nothing like the book example and she knew it. Before I even asked, she was removing the top coat and began tapping a glitter powder on my nails to make for an iridescent look, which was close enough. This extended my visit though and was more than a little annoying. Fast forward to a week later and that entire hand has gel polish chipping completely off. I don't know if it's because she put in half effort and should've started completely over when she removed the first top coat, but this hand is peeling like crazy. I have been here a numerous amount of times and I've never left less than happy, until today. I got a pedicure and SNS dip manicure. The pedicure was great. The manicure, however, was not. I asked for oval nails, she gave me square. (She LATER made them slightly more round, but the shape is horrid and inconsistent between the various nails) The color is completely wrong from what was in the book. I even had her grab the book so we could compare, and then she told me that it was supposed to be "see through" and that's why it looked wrong. I can assure you that the color I originally picked was quite solid. Since I didn't have enough time to have her take everything off and start over, I asked if maybe there were some sort of sparkly/glittery layer would could do on top to make the color look less....sad. She looked at me like I had 10 heads. So I repeated it. She still didn't get it. So I said, "ya know what... nevermind. This is... this is fine for today..." So she continued with my sad little ugly nails. She then started filing my nails into more of the round shape I wanted, and while doing so, CUT THE S*** OUT OF MY RING FINGER WITH THE FILE. I've never been cut while getting a manicure, and boy did it HURT. She then said sorry and grabbed some sort of unidentifiable blue liquid and squirted some on my finger! OW. THAT HURT TOO AND ALSO WTF IS THAT?!! I praaayyy that my damn finger doesn't get infected. It's literally stinging as I write this review. My end result is so sad and ugly. My nails are bumpy and completely inconsistent, not to mention that my color is absolutely horrid. I wanted cute little greyish mauve oval nails, and I got round, inconsistent, bumpy, light sad see-through pinkish purple nails instead. Extremely disappointed in my visit today. I moved here in June and have been trying so many different nail salons and have been a repeat customer at pristine because I always have a great result no matter which nail technician I get. They're extremely professional and efficient. I've never waited long to get seated here and my nails always look perfect when I'm leaving. I have been to this place now about 4 or 5 times and I have been pleased every time. They do a great job and usually can get you right in, or if there is a wait, it's not long. The only thing that always gets on my nerves is when the staff speaks to each other in another language in front of the customers, and while serving the customer, which is just impolite, in my opinion. Overall, they do a great job, and they offer gel, SNS powder dip, and can do all sorts of the latest nail shapes and trends. She asked me twice what I wanted for my manicure after my pedicure. She asked if I wanted classic or deluxe. I said deluxe and was very clear however she tacked on a parrafin wax treatment that was an extra $10 without asking and charged me for it. When I told them I didn't ask for this treatment and was unaware it didn't come with the deluxe package the girl at the front desk and my nail stylist didn't have anything to say besides sometimes they get confused about what you want and charged me anyway! I've been coming here for over a year and have always had a good experience. I love that i can walk in most days and not wait more than 15 to be seen. Though if you are wanting to have services done with another person or a group, I highly suggest making an appointment. I've had reg mani/pedi, gels, dips, cat eye, chrome, eyebrow wax, and eyelash extensions done here(def need appointment for extensions), all of which have been great. Lots of colors and selections and they have reg polish to match all the gels. The few times Ive had premature chips or peeling (and I'm hard on my nails), they have fixed with no problems. I've also been to newer location on Park Ave which is even bigger than this one! A couple owns both locations- the husband runs this one and the wife runs the other- both of whom is always welcoming and remember me. Ive tried other places but always ens up back here... I have received mani/pedis from different techs and there's an obvious gap in experience and technique amongst them, so it's risky not making an appointment. I've had my SNS manicures rushed through, then days later I have to come back for a repair. Since this type of mani is expensive, my expectations are for the quality to match, however that is not the case. The service was better when I was "new" but once I became a "regular" they failed to continue what I thought was their quality standard. Not bad but not my favorite. This location is ideal with its prime spot in WP Village. And it's hard to beat a $15 manicure. And, yes, Ava works FAST. But I found the staff a bit cold and distant (which is probably why I'm referring to them as "staff"). The space is very nice; it's practically new. Their color selection? This was not a good nail place. They sat me immediately and then left my nails soaking in acetone for 20 minutes before they even started my pedicure. My nails sat in acetone for overt 45 minutes. Then when they did my manicure the manicurist accidentally clipped my finger and after I told her she did she continued to push down and take more skin off and cause me to continue bleed.
