I absolutely love this location! After moving from Texas it was hard to find a wax company that didn't offer "15min" revolving door wax where you have hair left over. After much trial and error I googled the closet location to me and this one popped up. It's actually a 40min drive. But it's well worth it every 4 weeks. The environment is so welcoming and inviting. I've been here a couple of times but the last time I went I got a brow wax and all I wanted was for my brows to be even...well apparently this couldn't be done because while she was nice, my eye brows are not even. When I mentioned it I was told well you can pencil them in. No I came to get my eyebrows shaped. And I couldn't even get what I asked for. I have been coming to waxing the city for around two years now. Let me tell you this place never disappoints! They offer memberships where they take the money from your account with a 15% discount for the service you're getting. They also offer a 20% discount for any first timers. From my first experience to the last I've always had great service. You can ask for your preferred esthetician but I usually go with whoever is available, they're all amazing. I was there yesterday and I was with a new employee I believe her name was Lizeth. She was training and she did great! Usually when I get my services done here the esthetician will ask many questions which I don't mind at all, I can see that they are trained to do so. But it felt so good to be able to get my wax done in silence with my headphones in, since it helped me relax a lot more than I thought it would. This place is awesome! I was looking for a place to take care of the caterpillar I call my eyebrows and stumbled upon this place. When I called, they answered on the first ring and surprisingly were able to fit me in for a same day appointment. The woman who waxed my brows, Sasha, was great! She was so sweet, we had an awesome conversation while she cleaned up my brows and she did a great job! My service done was phenomenal, I don't remember the person who serviced me. However she did great!

I've been coming here for a couple of years now, and overall I've been happy with the results. But my most recent visit was incredibly unpleasant. While the technician was very nice, her technique was not. She would slowly peel the wax off instead of a fluid motion of ripping it off. And she did not press on my skin after to mend the discomfort. I DID ask her to do it faster which she did but then resorted to what she had been doing before. I got my inner backside done and my bikini line. As I stated she did not rip off the wax - she peeled. This boosted the pain and discomfort for me. When she did my inner backside area, she did not keep her hand on my cheeks to keep them apart after applying the wax. This caused issues when she did one side then let go which allowed the wax to stick to the hair on the opposite side but just barely. So when she peeled the wax off - it pulled and tugged on the tips of the hair instead of straight to the skin. All in all I would say she is either new, or requires more practice. I don't enjoy saying bad things about establishments but this was just the truth. read more

I will absolutely drive 25 minutes one-way to come here every four weeks. The studio is always super clean, the atmosphere is amazing. I usually just make an appointment online and select anyone available for my eyebrow appointment ($21). Everyone has always been very kind, and they take the time to discuss eyebrow shape with you. They fill in your eyebrows with powder or gel afterwards if you want them to. My cerologist this visit was Kay. Kay was phenomenal! From now on I will continue to make my appointments with her! Yelp had a 50% discount on a waxing service for new customers, so I absolutely took advantage of that and got a great deal! Instead of paying $152, with the discount I paid $130 (incl 15% tip), so very grateful as the Yelp deal definitely saved me some moohla. Apart from the discount, I also thought it was a great location - very close to my work and so easy to book a lunchtime appointment. Deanna was my aesthetician, and a total sweetheart. She was meticulous and very through and what I really really liked was how my skin felt so smooths afterwards! I also liked the fact that Deanna mentioned what she observed about my hair growth patterns and gave me great tips for my skin. At the end of my visit, I spoke to the owner and got costs for pre-paying for 4 services in advance via their "black book" deal. The service I wanted (full legs, which costs $107) wasn't in the list, but she gave me a studio specific discount for this service, which I am very tempted since pre-paying would mean almost a 30% reduction in price over 4 visits! I will say that the AC was a bit too cold for me, and when I mentioned that to the owner, she said to let them know next time and they can fix that - so appreciated that very much. I had my brows henna tinted and also had the lip and brow wax service with Kay. She was amazing! She talked me through everything and made sure to get exactly what I was wanting for my brows along with giving tips. I will say that the henna tint was extreme at first. She put it on darker because I have oily skin which is supposed to help it last as long as possible. Oily skin prevents it from lasting as long as it would on our dryer skin friends. Luckily I don't leave the house much during the week because of social distancing so I was able to let it fade in peace. It's the third day since I got them tinted and they are still darker than my natural brows but they look great and not so extreme anymore! Also I have naturally dark hair that is lightened blonde so that makes the brows seem more extreme which wouldn't be the case for everyone. Just something to keep in mind. I will definitely be back to Kay for this and other services, I'll probably just make sure I have a couple days to let them settle before I have to go anywhere! read more

Coming to waxing the city was my third time getting a leg/brazilian wax, but my first at this location and was by far the best experience I had. Christina was friendly and professional and I felt like I was in great hands. Even though getting a wax is painful and sometimes can be awkward depending on what your service is, she made my experience very enjoyable. I go back this week and can't wait to see her and catch up. So I swore I would never do a bikini wax again about 5 years ago. In college I had the wax strips that were horribly painful, then five years ago I was introduced to hard wax which was much better but the aesthetician (cerologist) I had left and depending who I had it just was still too painful. I'm visiting friend in FL (may be moving here) and I just got sick of shaving and wanted to give it one more try. All I can say is that I will be traveling every four weeks to this salon as long as they are here. They redeemed every scary memory and made it a good one. Very disappointed that I had to cancel an appointment due to being stuck on the side of the road with a whole nail in my tire and they did not have any compassion not to charge me a cancellation fee. Cause of this i will never book an appointment with them again. Also let me add that while I was on the side of the road they were calling and texting me as if the appointment was more important then me being stuck on the side of the road.
