Visited this office for wisdom teeth extractions and initially was quoted $1600 over the phone for all 4 to come out, upon arrival and seeing the Dr the quote jumped up nearly double the price. They are charging astronomical prices here and are a complete waste of time. You are told something else, then must pay the visit fee in addition to a x ray fee if you don't have a pano, and finally after all this is done the doctor or treatment coordinator will tell you that you are now expected to pay almost 3k for extractions. Also was stating how they are very close to the nerve, as someone who works in the dental field it was quite shocking the lengths they will go to make more money. The office is overall quite pushy after deciding not to finalize on a surgery date, they continually called and even emailed the following day to schedule the surgery. Ended up feeling overwhelmed and harassed by the hounding and messages and went elsewhere to do the surgery. Be advised !!! Shop around before you make a decision read more

I found him to be a caring, understanding, quintessential professional whose modern office is comfortable with state-of-the-art equipment. The worst! It took me exact a year to get only 30% of my money back with screaming and words fighting with DR,shnayder and Michel. To get my rest 70% I have to go to small court. I came to office with pain and they said my insurance will answer them only after two weeks (it was a lie) and I have to pay cash, but after insurance will pay them the will return my money(it was a lie), they never did! It was 100s excuses, impossible to speak with doctor because always when I call he is on vacation, 8 vacations per year. All prices 3 times higher then other offices. I came in for a consultation with Dr. Shnayder at his Paramus location and he was extremely thorough and transparent with the treatment plan, what post op would be like, what my insurance will cover and what my out of pocket charges would be. I did go for a 2nd opinion just in case because I wanted to make sure that I needed such extensive work as it obviously wasn't cheap. While the other surgeon was cheaper, I felt that I would get better and quality care with Dr. Shnayder. Dr. Shnayder had an extremely calm demeanor, which made me feel confident that I made the right choice. The procedure was seamless! Very minor swelling and just general discomfort that was fixed with Motrin. Dr. Shnayder called me later in the day to see how I am feeling and told me to call him with any questions or concerns. So CIGNA contacted them that they overcharged me for x rays, which I told them in office and they promised I would have a check sent to me. Almost 2 months later and no refund of the billing error, and I spoke to them once and received a promise. Second time I called they told me to be patient and wait another few weeks, a date that will be 61 days after the error. Unfortunately, my bank only allows charge backs up to 60 days post charge, so I started a charge back dispute. My advice is this dentist is just looking to maximize his profit at the expense of his clients and will use fraud if need be. It's upsetting to see all the negative reviews for amazing oral surgeon. Dr Garry did an extraction, bone graft and implant for me. Everything went smoothly with each step. I recommended him to my husband and he had the same great experience. Then we moved away to North Carolina. Guess what? We came back to NY to have Dr Garry remove a tooth a dentist told us was infected and needed to be removed immediately. Dr Garry took a look and said there is not even a cavity in that tooth. For those that say he only cares about the money, it's 100% not true. He could have removed the healthy tooth and made money, but he is an an honest oral surgeon. I had four teeth pulled on 12/19/2020 - my two top wisdom teeth in an extraction and bottom two wisdom teeth, because they were touching a nerve that, if damaged I could lose feeling in my jaw and lips, a coronectomy. I was awake for the entire procedure after getting local anesthesia. Throughout, Dr. Shnayder informed me of what he was doing and even said "you're doing great" to keep me calm. The anesthesia wore off after the procedure and have had little to no pain, considering having not one but four teeth pulled. On Thursday December 3rd. I got my wisdom teeth taken out. During the consult I was expecting to be awake. But during the actual procedure, Doctor Shnayder talked me though each and everything he was doing and how IV Sedation works. He told me he was going to put me out mildly and that I would feel pressure. But I was totally knocked out. I didn't feel anything. I woke up to the nurses and Dr Shnayder saying, "Great job. You did amazing. You were so brave." I sat in the room for twenty minutes before being allowed to go home. He prescribed medication for me and called me to see how I was doing. I definitely recommend Dr Shnayder to anyone who is looking for a pain free operation. He's the nicest, kindest, friendliest Doctor I have ever met. Calms you down when you're nervous. If an oral surgeon discusses your health insurance before even looking into your mouth and/or asking what the problem is - run. First of all, the front desk should have the information about what my plan does and does not cover. I've been to other oral surgeons before and that was my experience. I decided to try Dr. Shnayder so I did not have to wait before the other surgeon had an opening. I should have left that place before letting them deduct 75 for the consultation which turned out to be a discussion with the doctor about how much I needed to pay for an X-Ray because my insurance didn't cover it. I would have gladly paid if he had the correct information.I knew he didn't. Just to make sure, I called my insurance company before allowing him to touch me. He claimed that I would have to pay $175. My insurance company told me that he should not have charged more than $50. That is standard. I cannot speak to his skill as a dentist but as to his ethics, he should be more informed before asking for more money then he should. I left the office before he could actually examine me. I made an appointment with skilled and professional oral surgeon. I informed the receptionist that I might need an Ex-Ray. She informed me that the cost with my plan would be $50. I have taken two of my children to Dr. Shnayder and i could not be happier with him. Each did require a consultation appointment and fee of $75. We had panoramic x-rays that we took with our regular dentist so i can't discuss the cost of it (x-rays) at the office. The work he did for both of my children was top notch. They had minimal pain or issues with the mouth. One of my children had a wisdom tooth taken out by a different doctor years ago and her recovery was much more painful, including swelling, which took over a week to recover. Garry Shnayder is an absolute ripoff. BEWARE. All they care about is making money. Contacted the office as I needed wisdom teeth removal. Was told by their personnel they'd be able to perform the procedure the same day and was provided an appointment. Charged me a $75 consultation fee the moment I got in. Afterwards they performed unnecessary cone beam scans and panoramic x-rays without advising me that these procedures are not covered by insurance. Finally when the guy actually comes to examine my teeth, he's informing me that they'd need to submit a claim with my insurance company before they can proceed so I'd need to make another appointment. As I'm leaving, they're trying to charge me $300 up front for the x-rays and scans they performed stating they'd refund me after a claim is filed with the insurance company. So after 10 years of dealing with an erupted wisdom tooth cutting my cheek, last week, it was discovered that there was a cavity the size of China right in the middle of it. How was it discovered? It hurt. A lot. The kind of pain that wakes you up at night and makes you curse the day you were born. I let that tooth stay even though it cut my cheek up and made eating oily foods an occasional pain. Why? Dentists. We all have this irrational fear of them, in part due to the media and movies such as Marathon Man. But when Dr. Schnayder came in, most, if not all, of the fear disippated. Having metal objects shoved in your mouth is going to carry fear, but having a reliable dentist walk you through the procedure has a way of putting one at ease. Being the crazy old guy that I am (who gets a wisdom tooth extraction at age 32?), I opted for the needle. Don't opt for the needle; technology has improved DRAMATICALLY. Take the high tech stuff. After the novocaine, the doctor started... and it was done. BAM. Done. Really? It quite literally took 30 seconds. It takes longer to use the restroom; that's how great Dr. Schnayder was. I didn't even have time to imagine the horrors of what our media shows us about dentists. I wanted to be scared, but I didn't have a chance to be. If you need to see an oral surgeon, you probably did something wrong regarding your dental hygiene. But thanks to Dr. Schnayder, there's nothing to fear. It will be taken care of. Now, who knows how my body will react post-surgery, but the surgery itself was painless. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to after my experience with this dental office on March 5, 2019. I seriously doubt that all of these glowing reviews are truthful. The doctor himself, Dr. Shnayder seemed to be very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I left the office feeling confident that he was able to perform my extraction and implant. The issue arose with the administrative staff after the visit. I was told that a claim will be submitted to my insurance company to see how much of the procedure will be covered and it will take roughly 2-3 weeks until they will know and will notify me. Three weeks elapsed with no update. I called them the first week of April inquiring about the insurance claim. I was told that the person in charge of the submitting the claims, Michelle, was out of the office but as far as she can see the claim was submitted on March 19, 2019. Why did two weeks go by from the initial visit and the claim was not submitted is beyond me. I was told I would have to wait again for about 2-3 weeks to be updated by Michelle. I called on April 16, 2019, same scenario, Michelle is not in the office and they would have to call me back. I should've ended it from then but being the patient person that I am (and I wasn't in much pain) I waited again. Finally, on Friday April 30, 2019 -I called the office and spoke to Julia and she told me once again Michelle is not in the office and since she (Julia) doesn't handle insurance claims she cannot update me. Of course as any person would have done at this time I became upset and expressed my frustration. Julia proceeded to tell my to LOWER MY TONE as she is trying to see what she can do. To tell a patient to lower their tone due to the fault of the office is highly unprofessional and disrespectful. I have been to many medical/dental offices over the years and have never experienced such unsatisfactory service to seemingly incompetent administrative staff. This office charges you a $50 consultation fee that is not counted towards your procedure, which is bogus. An extraction and subsequent implantation is a serious procedure and to go through undue stress for something as simple as submitting a claim and following up with prospective patients is just ridiculous. I have decided to take my business elsewhere but wanted to issue this REAL and HONEST review as a warning for others who are contemplating in going to this practice and the headache they may potentially deal with. read more

GREAT SURGEON! My husbands dentist recommended a different dentist that was NOT DR.SHNAYDER. I did call the dentist/surgeon that our regular dentist recommended, they were NOT nice over the telephone. I did not feel comfortable with that dentist. I did some research on my own as I am in the medical field. I called Dr.Shnayder's office & spoke with a lovely lady named Julia. She was EXTREMELY nice & very patient to answer all of my questions. She was thorough , knowledgable& very nice over the telephone. My husband was very pleased with the Dentist.The procedure was much quicker than what we anticipated. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shnayder and the staff at Brooklyn Oral Surgery & Implant Center. I came here because my bottom left molar in the back of my mouth was wildly infected. (Due to what I believe was a botched procedure from a different dentist.) The tooth had to be pulled but Dr. Shnayder managed to do it with minimal pain. They even have a state-of-the-art X-Ray machine that doesn't require you to bite down with the problem tooth on the plastic thingy. (Sorry, if I'm intimidating you with my technical vocabulary here.) From the moment I walked in, the friendly front desk staff put me at ease. No easy feat, considering I was already in pain and very leery from my last bad dental experience. I received a follow-up call the very next day from the doctor himself to check that everything was alright. He also made sure I scheduled a follow up appointment for the following week just to make sure everything was healing properly. I will be getting an implant with him in a few months and because of the compassionate professionalism I experienced from him and his staff, I'm not even worried about it. read more

I didn't give him any stars because they do not deserve any I had a very bad experience with them , I had an appointment with them at 9 am And my wife at 10 am so they called me the day before and confirmed the time with me I said ok I could've sworn I heeard it 9:30 am but it was 9:00 am any way I took the day off from my job and so did my wife to go and see him now I get a call in the morning from them saying where are you you have an appointment at 9:00 I said I'll be there in 15 minutes the office manager said it's ok come so we left the house and drove there and right before we get to the office she calls back and says I'm sorry the doctor can't see you today . I said to her why didn't you tell me this when I told you I'll be there in 15 minutes I could've stayed home if that was the case , she didn't know what to say .now my wife said it's ok doctor can he take my appointment and she will schedule another one he even refused that because I guess he didn't want to admit that there is bad communication between him and his staff and that will look bad besides that he doesn't even have a shred of a human decency as of an owner manager he was to calm me down I'm supposedly his patient , Mind you this was the second appointment with him and in the first one my appointment was I think at 2 or so and I saw him like an hour after so according to him patients can wait for him but he can't wait even tho that was his management fault , what kind of a doctor that treats his patients like this Any way my advise to everybody is NOT TO GO THERE OR NEAR THERE , very bad VERY VERY VERY BAD . read more

Firstly, I would like to say that this is the cleanest and probably most modern office I have ever been to. Secondly, Dr. Shnayder's calm demeanor and honesty made me feel very comfortable. I went in to get 4 wisdom teeth extracted. I loved the fact that I was able to select what I wanted to watch on Netflix. He then gave me an injection and gave ample time to for it to kick in and came back a few times to check on me. The extractions went without a problem and I left pleasantly surprised. I followed the post op instructions and returned a week later and was told I'm healing fine. I would recommend Dr. Shnayder to anyone that's nervous about oral surgery. The entire experience made what can be a potentially traumatizing and scary seamless. The staff was also so pleasant.
