Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with Green Guru cleaning. When Lisa was working for Green Guru the cleaning was good but when Lisa left the service was average at best. We finally had to ask Audrey to cancel our service due to multiple issues: 1) Arriving late 2) Last minute rescheduling 3) Not doing a satisfactory job at cleaning. 4) Not showing up when scheduled. Each time Audrey cleaned we had to wipe off the grit off our kitchen counters. The toilets were not completely cleaned or in one case our guest hallway bathroom was not cleaned at all. Our bathroom sinks had toothpaste in the corners. Overall the cleaning was average. When I called Audrey to cancel she told me that she would refund us the money that she had charged on our credit card for our September cleanings. She decided to charge us a cancelation fee anyway. If you choose to go with Green Guru I recommend that you avoid signing up for a subscription and just pay as cleaning is done. We were charged in advanced for our service for September and were only refunded a partial amount. When I asked why we were not refunded the full amount Audrey said the $149 was a cancellation fee. We now have hired a different cleaning service which does an excellent professional job. When you hire a cleaning service you should not have to have work redone at all. It should be right the first time. Having to wait for an hour after the scheduled time is not acceptable contract or no contract. Not showing up and not notifying the client is not acceptable contract or no contract. We fired Audrey because of this and she claims she has a contract that she can charge you a cancellation fee even if she does not show up to clean your house the day it is scheduled. No other cleaning service that I have had has a contract. In fact all the services that I have used are paid after the cleaning is completed. Our neighbors who we referred to Audrey also had to cancel Green Guru after no one showed up to clean and they were not notified. It was my mistake to sign off on a contract with Green Guru. Do not make the same mistake that I did. We are very happy with Alex's Cleaning Service. They are professional, on time, and when they are done cleaning the house is spotless. And they get paid when the job is done no contract.

Unfortunately, when I got home, I found that the floors hadn't been vacuumed or mopped, and there was still dirt and gunk left in places like the refrigerator handle and backsplashes and cupboards (which they guarantee in the standard clean). It was easily the worst clean I've ever had, especially given that I paid $155. I had clearly communicated that the floors were my top priority. I was also told that if I didn't want a deep clean (which was $235 and not necessary because I had one done recently), they would still handle the basics thoroughly. Instead, I came home to half-done bathrooms, a kitchen where items were knocked over and not put back, and a generally careless job. To add to that, they advertise a $100 discount, but it turned out to be spread over multiple sessions as small increments, which felt misleading. And when I brought up my disappointment about the job not being finished, the owner basically blamed me for not choosing the more expensive option instead of addressing the poor quality of the clean I did pay for. I'm sharing this so others can be aware. I was willing to be flexible if the job had been done reasonably well, but this was a really disappointing and surprising experience. I trusted them too much. And now am cleaning today when I don't have the time during the holidays. And Amie did not honor the 100% guarantee, instead she offered to cancel my recurring subscription I had signed up for. Here's the thing I feel most burned by. I was very clear about the floors. I offered that they skip many things offered in the standard clean like the ceiling fans that I didn't need to put a focus on that. I asked, will I be mopping afterwards. She said NO. On this I agreed to the contract and went forward. Two women here for 2 hours and mostly 2 bathrooms and some kitchen done?
