Having staffed gala fundraisers and other events, I very much appreciate Krista's organized, detail-oriented approach - she and her team are all about making your event what you want it to be. My fiancé and I booked a wedding package with our venue that included day-of coordination, and we were lucky enough to be paired with Krista in that role. She and her team have pulling off the perfect wedding down to a science, and will ensure all your questions are answered and everything is in place for the celebration you want. We were originally scheduled for a June 2020 wedding, so we were heavily impacted by COVID-19. I used Prive events as my planner for my wedding at JM cellars. They were a blessing! I thought I could do everything on my own since I'm a pretty organized person. When touring and eventually booking the venue JM kept saying they only required a day of coordinator but actually they require a partial planner. Originally I was peeved because that was not my plan but I'm so so happy I booked Prive. Krista was amazing from the start. Megan at Privé was an outstanding coordinator and huge help for my husband(!), Zach, and I during our wedding this summer. We got married at my parents' home in the Seattle area, but we were living in Madison, WI and Chicago, IL respectively over the course of our eight months or so working with Megan. Nonetheless, Megan found time to work with us, making three-way conferences calls at all kinds of times of day to help make sure our wedding was exactly like we wanted it to be. On the day of, Megan and her staff did an incredible job making sure that we had everything we needed, from wine with dinner to pens for signing our wedding license. They even whipped up some salad dressing in my parents' kitchen when the caterer forgot to send it. With a wedding at private residence there were all kinds of small snafus that could have been bothersome, but not a single guest noticed a single hiccup. In fact, they all commented on how seamless the day was, and we attribute that to Megan and her staff. They even found time to clean up afterward, making the next day a breeze! My husband and I worked with Megan at Prive Events as the day-of coordinator for our post-elopement wedding celebration this spring at the Fremont Abbey, and we can't recommend Prive highly enough. Far beyond just coordinating the day of the event, Megan met with the two of us several times in advance to make sure the day would be exactly what we wanted. We threw some curveball concerns at her (guests with the tendency to get rowdy, groomsmen with toast nerves, parents disagreeing with us, etc.) and she remained totally unfazed. Throughout the planning, we felt like she understood our vision for the day and we trusted her judgment, so when she told us something we wanted wouldn't work (like hanging paper lanterns from the 12-foot ceiling while standing on a shaky metal ladder), we knew it was for a good reason. On the day of our celebration, which included a ring-warming ceremony and reception, Megan and her assistant (Amanda, I think) took care of things that we didn't even think of. We were damn disorganized about some things, and it only took until about 11 AM for me to make my first "oh sh*t" call to her. She took everything in stride and handled challenges behind the scenes while we were getting ready. In a rush, I threw some of the decorations into a box with no directions for what went where, and I didn't have time to think about what happened to them for several hours. That evening, I saw the Megan had almost psychically set up things how I would have done it myself, including the photo of my late father that meant a lot to have displayed at the reception. Plus, Megan and Amanda pushed a rolling coat rack up the long wheelchair ramp...in heels, after a freak hailstorm...so our guests could get their coats without going back downstairs. Bonus points for badassery. Before we met Megan, my husband and I were on the fence about using a coordinator; we really wanted to do things ourselves. We recently hired Privé Events to help with an informal Welcome Dinner to start off our wedding weekend. Our caterer planned to set up and deliver food for a buffet, and to be honest, we didn't think we needed to hire anyone and were pretty annoyed that the venue decided to require it just a week before the event. Well, we were wrong. The team was phenomenal, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The three staff members were upbeat, very helpful, and willing to accommodate last minute requests with smiles on their faces. They worked quickly and made everyone feel welcome. Lindsey, the lead, was extraordinarily professional and kind, and she made everything run smoothly. We appreciated their expertise with regard to staffing numbers and anticipating our needs, and especially their responsiveness via phone, email, and even text. By contrast, Invisible Hostess promised a quote within a few hours or by the next morning when we first called, but we didn't get an email back until a week later (a few days before the event), and there was no quote. So my advice is this: even if you think you probably don't need to hire an event hosting company, you should just do it. And when you decide you're going to hire one, make your life easy and go with Privé. read more

I highly recommend Krista. From the moment I met Krista, we hit it off and I could tell she was trustworthy and knew what she was doing. She is so sweet and nice, and an awesome planner. She was there every step of the way during our planning and made sure that we were always on track and didn't forget anything. I am from Boston and she was very flexible and accommodating to our time change and traveling schedule. If we had issues with any of our vendors she would go to bat for us and made sure we got what we wanted and deserved. Everyone in our wedding party/family members/ and vendors commented how organized she was. They had never seen such a meticulous timeline for a wedding. Day of, I wanted to make sure we, or any guest, would not have to worry about any of the logistics behind the wedding; set up, coordinating with vendors, tear down and clean up; etc.; and she definitely delivered that. Before we interviewed Megan we had met with another wedding planner and took her to our venue (a private venue in the groom's aunt backyard). When meeting with this planner she told us that we could have the wedding there, but she would have to charge us more money from all of her vendors since it is down about 100 flights of stairs. We scratched that idea very quickly and started looking for a new coordinator. We interviewed Megan and immediately felt put to ease. She reassured us that whatever we wanted it would happen, unlike with our previous experience. We had an interview scheduled for another coordinator, but after meeting with Megan we cancelled that and just hired her without a second thought. Megan was everything we had hoped for. Anytime I had a question about anything wedding related, from invitation wording to where to find sparklers, Megan had an answer and was quick to reply (which I have found is not always the case with wedding vendors). Where her and her team really shined was the days leading up to the event. Our venue was a bit of a challenge since it was down the stairs, all outside and next to the water. There were issues with the lighting and the speakers (which I found out about after the wedding). I never had to worry about anything going wrong because I knew I had Megan to fall back on. Worth. Every. Penny. Thank you Megan! Our venue was sort of unique, a three day, two night event out on the Olympic Peninsula. We had rented out a summer camp on Lake Crescent, which seemed amazing at the time of booking but then insanely overwhelming when we realized we had to bring EVERYTHING in. And I mean, EVERYTHING. I didn't know where to start and even after we'd booked a lot of vendors and thought we had a lot of stuff planned, meeting with Megan proved there were so many things we had over looked.
