They took it in right away and diagnosed that it was indeed the water pump. Quoted me a very reasonable price and got to work. A few hours later, John came out with some "bad news" (being from out of town, insert skeptical eye roll here). He said, After installing the new water pump, the sound was still there. Turns out they misdiagnosed the problem, and the real culprit was a bad AC pump. The noise we all heard was actually being caused by the bad AC pump. John reassured me it was on them for the miss diagnosis, and the original quote will be honored.
