I've lost count of how long I've been coming to her to color & cut my hair but it's been at least 6+ years. I also happily drive three hours to see her, that should say all it needs to say right there. Stephanie is the owner of the salon and she works magic on my hair. I've always been known to be very picky with my hair which is why I struggled to find the right artist for some time. Once I found Stephanie through my mom it's been smooth sailing since. She listens to your needs and respects the way you want your hair done. I'm grateful to her because my hair is so healthy after coming to see her all these years. I continue to get so many compliments on the color she helped pick for me and she only cuts the dead ends that need sprucing, so my hair has maintained it's length. The prices at Salon Montana are extremely reasonable for the quality of service you get. Also I don't know how she does it but my color actually stays! I'll come back 90 days after and we notice how good the majority of my color has lasted. At other salons I felt like the colors quickly faded but not here. The shop itself is very welcoming and cozy. Always clean and the location in downtown La Quinta is perfect as you can run next door to grab a quick coffee or snack before/after your service. Stephanie really tailors her services to everyone. Men and women's hair. I'm in my 30's and she's my stylist for life (or for however long she will put up with me lol). Also to note my moms in her 60's and also comes to her regularly. Her hair has never looked better and is so healthy now. It just shows if your reading this, whoever you are, it's likely that Stephanie will get it just right for you and she definitely deserves your business. The owners disregard for clients health is upsetting. ---/////-------\\\\\\\\\\_____\\\\\ Dora... i give you 5 stars... but due to the lack of COVID precautions the shop gets 1. First: Dora Orozco is wonderful, she DOES follow all of the restrictions. She was masked, wore gloves and i greatly appreciated that. On top of that she gave me an amazing cut and style and i will return IF the following is corrected. The owner wasn't masked, at all, from the time i arrived until the time i left. Her client asked her on arrival if they had to mask, she said yes and then proceeded to not require it of her customer OR herself. She then bragged how she'd had the virus, it wasn't that bad and now she is 'immune' and went on about how silly the numbers are being reported etc. It was all i could do to not correct her but that's NOT who i am. I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, disinfect my hands, and throw my clothes and mask in the washer. you need to comply with state laws or put your business license and everyone that enters at risk. Because of your lack of concern for your customer well being, YOUR business risks being closed by the state for not complying to mandated rules. I will be back eventually... but next time i will ask that either i am the ONLY client OR everyone is required to follow the state laws. If that means masks...then everyone must wear them.
