He added a chunk and a big block of wood on the outside to Jerry rig it together. There is a big gap in the fence now. The whole thing looks horrible. I would have rather had it back broken. To make matters worse, he dumped the old post with old concrete and metal parts in my neighbors yard debris bin. That is so rude and is NOT yard debris. Based on other reviews this guy doesn't know how to measure and I would not recommend him. I would complain and ask him to come fix it but I don't even want him to do that.

Removal was good, but all five posts were installed incorrectly: one was twisted and not aligned to our backyard, four were incorrectly spaced despite request for 8' apart. They are all 1" - 4" off, so we can't get our prebuilt panels in. Chad offered to fix the issue when we complained directly, but failed to show on the scheduled date (he didn't reach out, we had to, and got a "sorry, can we reschedule"). He failed to show on the rescheduled date and again asked for a reschedule. We are clearly not a priority and we cannot wait anymore and now have to fix it ourselves. Really disappointing, especially since we had a lower estimate with a different company but chose this company with the hope they could be retained on some other home projects in the future.

We literally love him. Mike was as enthused about building our home as we were about having it built. He comes alive helping you make your dreams manifest, and he draws on his experience with all things construction to advise about the options and features you desire while also warning of the potential pitfalls of ideas that seem great but that may not play out as well in practice as they are imagined in theory. In the front office, Becky entertained my endless questions about costs and draws and banking apps with patience and friendliness. We actually designed our home, not knowing a thing about engineering, architecture or building, and Mike made it happen, matching our vision to the finished product in a way that exceeded our dreams and expectations. The home literally looked exactly as we had hoped--only better. In fact, many of the subtle and grand touches on the home were collaborations with or adjustments made exclusively by Mike. For example, he was as excited about our sunken living room as we were. He also saved us thousands in concrete work while simultaneously improving the modern aesthetic of the front view of our new home. When things went awry--as they will whenever work, codes, weather, and people are involved--Mike smiled and said "We'll take care of it; we want you to be happy." And then he did take care of it. And we are happy! Most people would never want to build a house again once they've done it--all the decisions, stress, cost, and potential conflict with a builder or their subs. I hired them to replace some siding…read more No communication at all. I had no idea when they were going show up. They would say morning and 4 hours later show up. After the work finally was completed there were issues. Part was a lack of communication, part my fault for not being 100% clear, part theirs. But then found that they damaged my new gutters with the ladder and roof that was only 5 weeks old. Now having to fight to get all repaired. My Roof and Gutters are new so under warranty and can only be repaired by the installed companies to keep the warranty intact. Which is very fare and reasonable. DK Exteriors insist they can "Fix it". But this would be at there discretion and their way. Not covered by the warranty. This company is terrible, Low quality work, Poor communication left a mess that i had to clean up and still not one apology for anything. They don't accept responsibility for their work. IF this gets resolved soon, i'll update all reviews.
