Once he came, he showed me that the door was crooked, and other quality oversights that I was already skeptical about but didn't question from the first install. I ended up having the door re-installed by Montano Construction properly this time as well as having a storm door added and we were very happy with the results. Quality and attention to detail was really good and I feel comfortable knowing my door is not cooked and the little details regarding weather protection and structural integrity were accounted for. They also cleaned up the debris from the install. They could've charged me more considering the time it took to get everything up to their quality standard, but charged the initial quote. Hired Chad to replace one fence post on my older fence. Not a hard job. He sunk the post in the…read morewrong spot with concrete, and the fence panel wouldn't reach far enough to hang. He added a chunk and a big block of wood on the outside to Jerry rig it together. There is a big gap in the fence now. The whole thing looks horrible. I would have rather had it back broken. To make matters worse, he dumped the old post with old concrete and metal parts in my neighbors yard debris bin. That is so rude and is NOT yard debris. Based on other reviews this guy doesn't know how to measure and I would not recommend him. I would complain and ask him to come fix it but I don't even want him to do that.

Hired to pull and replace five fence posts damaged when a car lost control and drove through our…read moreyard. Removal was good, but all five posts were installed incorrectly: one was twisted and not aligned to our backyard, four were incorrectly spaced despite request for 8' apart. They are all 1" - 4" off, so we can't get our prebuilt panels in. Chad offered to fix the issue when we complained directly, but failed to show on the scheduled date (he didn't reach out, we had to, and got a "sorry, can we reschedule"). He failed to show on the rescheduled date and again asked for a reschedule. We are clearly not a priority and we cannot wait anymore and now have to fix it ourselves. Really disappointing, especially since we had a lower estimate with a different company but chose this company with the hope they could be retained on some other home projects in the future.

July 10 2025 Nikao Construction LLC completed a total…read moretear-down and rebuild of our 1996 kitchen and laundry/bathroom. Brandon the owner was attentive and receptive to our thoughts and ideas from the beginning of the project until its completion. Brandon was very helpful in his suggestions of multiple suppliers of materials we hoped to use and others we hadn't thought of. Brandon's subs were on time, courteous, communicated with us on what they were doing and projected completion times. We have a large space for the extra materials bought, so that wasn't an issue for us. Using an outside sink area and an office for our temporary kitchen worked out well, as Brandon said the living room didn't have the wattage necessary for the use of a microwave and other appliances we wanted to use. We hope to use Nikao Construction in the future, for their craftsmanship, their integrity, availability via phone or text, and for their sense of humor.

It wasn't just that his price was fair, they had re-sided a co-worker's home ~11 years prior and their name was listed in his stack of references. I spoke to my co-worker and they STILL had good things to say about Gino and Lifetime. In addition, the company is Hardieplank Elite Preferred installer, meaning they were up to date on any installation best practices and that was important to me. Unlike all of the other bids, there was no pressure. Gino was easy to work with, extremely responsive, meticulous attention to detail. No overselling or "the sky is falling" behavior. No eye rolling or treating me like I was a PIB at the end when some little painting details needed extra attention. Was very respectful of me as a woman. No weirdness or disconnect from his team. Everyone was on the same page. And his team are direct employees of Lifetime ... for many multiple of years. This latter point spoke volumes to me. His employees were superlative workers who were VERY careful about picking up debris, daily check-ins, keeping an eye out for my dog's safety, etc. They were on time, in budget and did great work with everyone being super professional. Our house is not small being 2700+ square feet and while winter isn't the best time for having holes in your house, the guys were quick and professional. The final painting had to be held off until the weather warmed up, but as soon as the sun came back so did they. I had great help in picking our final house colors as well. I was in contact with the main contractor the whole time and the same great group of guys did it all; siding, windows and painting. After 3 different bids, Lifetime was right in the middle but at the end they gave us a top dollar experience.
