They went above and beyond as well, fixing things along the way that were not even on the quote (fixing our sagging exterior fence doors, random trim around the house that needed replacing, getting rid of random unused cables attached to home, installing a new security camera, and doing some masonry work on a big brick planter we have). Communication is constant and they'll fill you in on progress without hesitation. Extremely great value for the quality of work they do. I had to be my own project foreman because Fackler's Foreman NEVER showed after getting bid, even thought he told me he would be there to check the work EVERY DAY! He lived in Mac and he never responded to texts or calls. I had to call their office to ask them to respond to a customer! workers had to ask me what they were doing each day. I had to do the finish work myself, replace the electrical covers myself too! The woodworker kid was nice and seemed to do a good job, I guess? The painter kid painted 3 small walls and took ALL DAY and came out and said, "oh the colors don't match, I'm going home." An older man came next day and fixed everything, figured color match, repainted it all and was pleasant to deal with. Overall, they did NOT know what they were doing, sent completely incompetent workers and the Estimator/Foreman was the biggest LIAR! My biggest pet peeve was all the LIES they told me. They did shotty work and I would NEVER EVER hire them to do anything, not even change a light bulb!! VERY SHADY COMPANY! YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU HIRE THEM!

Homeowners depend on contractors for timely communication and reliability, especially when repairs are urgent. Unfortunately, my experience showed a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and follow-through.

We literally love him. Mike was as enthused about building our home as we were about having it built. He comes alive helping you make your dreams manifest, and he draws on his experience with all things construction to advise about the options and features you desire while also warning of the potential pitfalls of ideas that seem great but that may not play out as well in practice as they are imagined in theory. Mike works with only the best subcontractors (often exclusively and repeatedly) and does not tolerate subs who shirk, scrimp, or simper. In the front office, Becky entertained my endless questions about costs and draws and banking apps with patience and friendliness. Dave, who took over the project management mid-way through, was attentive and friendly, solving problems and coordinating subs and juggling jobs with professionalism and reliability. We actually designed our home, not knowing a thing about engineering, architecture or building, and Mike made it happen, matching our vision to the finished product in a way that exceeded our dreams and expectations. The home literally looked exactly as we had hoped--only better. In fact, many of the subtle and grand touches on the home were collaborations with or adjustments made exclusively by Mike. For example, he was as excited about our sunken living room as we were. He also saved us thousands in concrete work while simultaneously improving the modern aesthetic of the front view of our new home. When things went awry--as they will whenever work, codes, weather, and people are involved--Mike smiled and said "We'll take care of it; we want you to be happy." And then he did take care of it. And we are happy! Most people would never want to build a house again once they've done it--all the decisions, stress, cost, and potential conflict with a builder or their subs. I will never build another house. But only because Mike struck gold with this one and we are never moving. But if we had to do it again, we'd call Mike in a heartbeat with not a single reservation or doubt. Mike feels like family, and we recommend him to you with the highest praise.

Arnie and his team did a complete remodel of the exterior of our home in Sheridan, OR. The work…read moreover several months included: 1. Removal of composition roof, repair of any bad wood panels, and installation if a new metal, standing seam roof with peak vents, in roof vents where needed, new gutters and down spouts. He also worked around existing skylights. 2. Removal of original vinyl siding, repair of a number of bad wood panels, and installation of new Hardie Board siding and soffits. They also painted all the new siding and trim. 3. Removal of original Trex deck across back of house, installed new poured concrete footings (to code) including extra footings to support a spa on deck, and then installed a Timbertech Azek deck with powder coated steel railings and Timbertech stairs. He also handled the wiring before spa removal and after reinstallation. Arnie's team worked hard and did a professional job, always cleaning up and organizing the work site. Arnie was very pleasant to work with and was always available to answer questions and meet if needed. This was an expensive project, but his prices were competitive with other contractors and he was the only one who actually got up on the old roof to inspect the job instead of standing 30' away. I'd highly recommend Arnie and Optimus for this sort of work. I know he does other type of contracting, but these three areas are those with which we have experience. Great guy, great company.
