I've had ongoing issues with a double gate installed in April 2025, starting the very day it was put in (during heavy rain, which I raised concerns about at the time). The gate was initially installed incorrectly so it couldn't even be opened when secured, and since then I've had at least six service visits to address repeated problems with it not closing due to misalignment. Timeline of issues (to the best of my remembering and phone records): April 4-5, 2025: Had to come back immediately to fix incorrect installation May 18, 2025: Gate would not close (top hitting, bottom splaying) Late May to June same issue as above January 2026: Same issue again January fix required another service visit several weeks later Additional visit Feb- Mar this year for the same problem April 15, 2026: Gate once again will not close Each time it gets "fixed," the issue returns. At this point, it clearly seems like a deeper installation or structural problem--not normal maintenance. I was also told (for the first time, over a year later) that gates need adjustment every 6 months, which was never explained during install or prior visits, and I was never shown how to do this myself. After noting this, I was reminded that the warranty is only for 2 years, like this is my fault. What made this experience significantly worse was customer service on my last call. When I called to ask why this keeps happening, I was told I "don't know what I'm talking about" and was told not to "come in here barking." That language is inappropriate on its own, but it's especially problematic given the very common trope that women who raise concerns are dismissed as "b**chy" or aggressive. It's unprofessional, dismissive, and completely unacceptable in a customer service interaction. At this point, I would not recommend this company based on both the quality of the installation and how recurring issues--and customers--are handled. read more

I saw and admired my neighbor's new railings, so I asked them for the phone number of the company who did them...it was Pro Fence & Railing! We called them and were able to speak with Josh who came to our house to look at the railings that we were interested in replacing around our house. He measured everything and showed us some options. We received the estimate in a few days and were able to okay the plan, also placing the required down payment. We had to wait couple of months while they ordered the materials and designed our order. Once the installers started, we knew that we picked the right company! They cut away the old rusted wrought iron railings that had exceeded their purpose around our porches, and installed the new wonderful railings that we had ordered. It took 3 days. Every day we were happy and excited with the work being accomplished. Keith and Aaron (installers) were fantastic. Their knowledge, skills and professionalism impressed us. The office staff (Noah and Josh) were very reliable and professional. They made themselves available when we had any questions. We're so pleased with the final results! One would think if a company did a lovely job of installing both a front yard aluminum fence and rear yard privacy fence as requested to the tune of $10,000+ that they would also be able to handle matching stair rails out front. SPOILER ALERT: As evidenced by the one star review they were not able to deliver on a 2nd lovely job. Not only did they show up 2 days prior to scheduled date of installation without notice, the installer also showed up in what is assumed to be a personal vehicle with our railings in it. Real professional . In addition, the installer left screws and other sharp debris all over our yard after the job was complete. I wouldn't have even mentioned any of these things if they had done what we paid for, but they didn't so here we are. We chose the same color of aluminum as the front fence, which they installed as stated previously. I even have the picture of the color from the day of the consultation (see pic) that my husband sent to me to ensure that I liked the color prior to us committing to the job. So the railing installed is jet black, doesn't match the fence (see pic) at all or our home (see pic) so it looks absolutely terrible. The 2x4s that were up since we moved in didn't match either, but they didn't cost $3500+ . At this point I'd rather have them back as they wouldn't be a daily reminder of a waste of our hard earned money like the current railings are. (Bring out that Michael Jackson popcorn meme because we are not done here ! ) All of the above is bad enough, but they took a step further to make it worse: When my husband called to discuss the mistake with Noah Urben we were basically told that nothing could or would be done as the electronic contract we signed said black. Since we didn't fill out the contract, a Pro Fence and Railing employee did, they made the mistake as far as I'm concerned. Does no one review the contract on their end prior to sending to a potential client? Do they not keep records of our fence color from prior job? I'm just asking out loud because I didn't get any answers from the actual company despite my husband leaving several messages via phone for the "President" who's about as reachable as The Wizard of Oz apparently as we haven't heard a peep in 8 days. I shouldn't have to be versed in railing colors, for all I know black might be how our fence color is described, that's not my expertise. Does no one at the business question why the color black is written down on a contract for a prior customer who has ZERO black fences that you installed prior? Maybe you should begin that practice now to save yourself the trouble of have another botched job like mine. I am certain that if you had done that I would have the railings I paid for. Rather than Noah (VP apparently) apologize or try to make it right we were told that the only thing that would or could be done is for us to get another quote for the correct color and pay them $3500+ again. No thank you Noah, that's ridiculous. Also, the installer told my husband that the railing color would "fade" to the color of our fence, really? Interestingly our fence did not fade to its current color, it's the color we paid for & they installed. What happened to having pride in your work? As someone who claims to be a "Pro" you would think you would care what your finished product looks like, apparently not the case here. Also, apparently repeat business isn't wanted or actual customer satisfaction is not in their business plan. After our fencing was installed I did wholeheartedly recommend your services to others. But now, a little over a week after the botched job, I am content to openly share my dissatisfaction both virtually and in person with whomever wants to listen. I was going to look into having it painted, as leaving it jet black and seeing it everyday is making a mockery of my hard earned money. However as I type this, it occurred to me that leaving it AS IS may offer more satisfaction since I'm not gonna get what I paid: Im happy to tell anyone who asks why it blatantly doesn't match & who not to waste your hard earned money on. I'm a retired coal miner on a fixed income. Due to an illness, I have a hard time walking especially stairs and outdoor steps. I needed a substantial hand railing for my steps that lead from my car to my home. Pro Fence & Railing came out, gave me an estimate which was less than anybody else, and ended up installing the railing. The installers did a great job! Overall I would recommend this company to friends, neighbors and anybody else needing help. This is an A+ contractor!!! read more

If only we had checked the reviews before we contracted with them. On the day they were supposed to show up and start work they blame their supplier for not having delivered the proper supplies, not even so much as a courtesy call to let us know they wouldn't be coming.. They were routinely several hours late one day not showing up at all. They constantly had to have more parts or pieces delivered and don't even get me started on their customer service. The president of the company is extremely rude when I called to talk to him he was very condescending and misogynistic. There is no redeeming customer service all he does is yell back at you and try to point the finger and somebody else. Phone I felt like I was dealing with a young child who would say "I know you are but what am I"whether or not the fence holds up remains to be seen but based on customer service I would never work with this group again. read more

Requested additional repair in March 2019 due to installationdefects...delayed due to the virus. Now 3 dates of scheduled repair have passed with no repairs or calls to explain. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I made an appointment for an estimate for a fence. The "salesman" arrived 45 mins after my appointment time...no call, no apology. But I was willing to overlook that (even though not even offering an apology is beyond rude regardless of the reason). We go to the backyard & he doesn't give me any information. I have to ask all the questions. He basically throws a brochure at me. I ask for a price & he can't give me that. He finally took some measurements and then asked me if I had a calculator. As an estimator I would think that's a necessity but again I try to overlook it. Then he gave me a price for something I didn't even want. Told me it would take 45 mins for an estimate. So when I said fine send me an email with a price he kind of just starts to walk away. At that point I was beyond frustrated and told him I didn't appreciate the lack of customer service. He just walked away. Then the main office calls me & basically tells me oh well. Not everyone is for everyone. Really?!? What kind of response is that to someone you are trying to provide a service for? And they basically said he does well for them. So whatever...good luck with your "salesman". He couldn't give away the fence to me now. If this is how they treat you before you've even bought anything I shudder to think how they treat you after you hand over your money. read more

I called and made an appointment for Saturday at 12:30. I waited for over an hour and no one showed or called. Just a warning. I guess if it's not a huge job it's not worth their effort. read more

Beware of signing any agreements with Pro Fence and Railing! I put down a significant deposit for a fence installation after being told that the fence would be installed within 2 months. Several weeks later, I was told that the installation date would actually be over 4 months from the date of the initial deposit. As it would happen, we suddenly needed to sell our house prior to the installation date, so I asked Pro Fence if we could cancel the project and have the deposit refunded. Even though the installation date wasn't for another 2 months, they refused, citing that "all deposits are non-refundable". While that may be true, businesses that generally try to do the right thing will usually make exceptions in scenarios like this that are out of the control of the customer. It's an incredibly greedy company that simply doesn't care about doing the right thing for the customer. Their needs will always come before yours. read more

This company was absolutely the worst I have dealt with for any home project. We purchased a black chain link fence to tie into our existing fence that was across the back of our yard from previous owner. I understand that things get pushed back and our original instal date was moved. No problem. However once the time came it was in December when we had the first big snow storms. The two installers that came and did the posts did a great job. Cleaned up. Didn't scratch or destroy anything. However from that point it went down hill. Different installers dropped the actual fencing, gate and hardware and just threw it in the yard. Never covered it once. It proceeded to be the first bigger snow when the second install team was out so only part of the fence was put up. They just piled everything used, cut and open in my yard not covered. They came back a couple days later and finished the install in the very cold temps and still snowy. Once the weather cleared and I was able to inspect the fence (after I paid, my big mistake) I found that the condition was crap. Delaminated galvanized, delaminated paint, rust, scratches scuffs and gouges literally all over. The fence was also not tied into the existing fence and I was told after that they won't do that, even though the salesperson said they would. It's to keep a child in and a small dog, both of which can easily fit. I complained through email to Noah the VP. He was very stand-off and somewhat rude since I didn't like the offer of them just fixing it. I was actually fine with it being fixed as long as the warranty would stay good and I got told that I don't seem happy. I'm not. I was put on a "list" to get it all repaired and I had to check in several times over those next several weeks because when I was told someone would be out no one showed. Finally after a couple emails, to a specific address and person I was told to email/call, we're never answered I called them. To be told they never got an email. That Noah would be out that week to square things away with me. He never showed up. I called the following week and was told oh someone will be out and finally they did show up. Two guys came out and looked at everything. Even they said it looked like crap. I told them I don't just want spray paint. I spoke with the warranty company and they don't cover that. Noah told them the wrong condition of issues, wrong color fencing and everything. They had to leave and when they came back they did replace some bands but the the remaining "fix" was a couple cans of spray paint from Lowe's. I was directly told the guys went to Lowe's and bought the best spray paint they could find per Noah. You cannot paint bare galvanized, it will fall off again. You can't just paint rusty metal it will still rust. The guys left and I looked it over when it dried. Now I still have a rusty gate, spray painted bare metal already showing wear after a week or so, spray painted gouges into the piping that are showing flaking and more places showing galvanized delamination. Oh and a half shiny have flat black colored fence from the spray paint job. Thousands of dollars for a crap fence the warranty company won't cover, fixes the warranty won't cover and some of the worst customer service. I'm sorry that you installers rushed and jacked up the materials but that's not my fault. I would have been fine waiting for the fence to be installed properly not in a snow storm. I won't call them back. I'll just keep up the maintenance on this my self. It'll never last the warranty and if I or anyone I know needs a fence I will steer them clear of this place with everything I can. ABSOLUTE TRASH QUALITY AND SERVICE! read more

the office manager and the business owner are very rude individuals. i waited patiently when the manufacturer never received my order from them, was even told i would receive a discount on my next order ( i still have $16,000 worth of fence to put up). and i waited patiently for the job to be COMPLETED (work still needed done on my 2 gates) however, they were anything but patient when they demanded payment. it was not 18 days late as they persisted. it was a reasonable amount of time to pay an invoice. but the owner threatened me with an attorney, called ME an asshole and hung up on me. this was the 3rd time i hired them and have been good for the money every time. however, he said he doesn't care about any future business read more
