I had purchased an Alpine unit to add Apple CarPlay to my 2006 Solara convertible. After frustrations with getting the installation scheduled at Best Buy, I found Pro Guard on Yelp and contacted Jon through the app. Jon responded immediately, asked a few questions and quoted a very fair price. He was able to get me scheduled right away. When I arrived at Pro Guard Jon greeted me, reviewed the planned work, and got started. He came out regularly to update me on status, ask a question, etc. At one point he asked about a whining noise that my current radio was making (and had been for years), and said he'd like to look into the cause. He found it and even offered to replace an existing component with one he'd pulled from another Solara without charging me! He finished the installation more quickly than promised, and it's beautiful. He even went to the trouble to set up the unit so it was ready to use with CarPlay. Jon does amazing work and everything promised was done perfectly. I didn't want just anybody working on my truck as I just bought it. I was afraid to go to the big box retailers again as my last installation was somewhat sketchy. I had Jon order a JL Stealthbox Subwoofer and install it with the power amp and volume control on my dash panel. Very happy as it sounds amazing and looks great. I Googled best car installation places in AZ and he was one of the top 3....the difference is that his reviews were all 5 star and no one had the same rating. I bough a new 2020 GMC and it was to have XM radio and did not. They just told me to go through my cell phone. Now that a hassle and dangers to work with when driving. I wanted XM radio, GMC told me no they could not do it and gave me 4 places to try and all for could not do it. I was in a Starbucks talkin to a friend about the problem when a young girl told be to go to Pro Guard . She told me her dad had her radio put in there and added XM Radio. I was amazed the minute I walked in as he told me yes no problem I can do that. He is very busy so I had to wait but did have it put in. Great job, great service and pricing. .I have a 1974 Pontiac with broken radio. I called Jon at Pro Guard Auto Scottsdale for service. I expected to pay several hundred dollars for a replacement radio and labor charges. Instead Jon discovered wiring issues. He repaired them, cleaned up a wiring mess under the dash and added two speakers. The charges for parts and labor was a small fraction of a new unit.
