I didn't understand why they were charging so much at the national repair chains. My research said it was a simple install job that would take less than an hour. I found Acapulco's Mufflers & Auto on they web and they said I could bring my own part and they would install it for $50. They also offered to sell me the part and install it for $180. That the option I took. They had me in and out in forty minutes and did a great job.

The first time I went there was to get my muffler replaced, they took my car in right away and finished the job with no problems at all in about an hour or so. The muffler I bought from there has not given me any problems so far. The second time I went there was to get my alternator replaced. I had bought the alternator from Auto Zone and they replaced it for 1/3 the repair price that Pep Boys would have charged. They got the repair done in about an hour and it's great. I highly recommend this place, the service is great and the staff is amazing. The only problem that one may have is that the staff does not speak English that well, but I haven't had any other problems.

After my Camry was nearly totaled by uninsured driver, I gathered several opinions and quotes and I was told to give it up until I spoke to the owner of this shop. I was assured the car could be repaired by time frame was tentative. His quote was very favorable and payment was flexible given the time frame. His attention to details was beyond perfect, and prior mechanical issues before the accident were addressed. The finished job was more beautiful than the day I bought the car. Although, at a first glance of the shop may seem out of ordinary or traditional repair shops but their work surprisingly beats all bigger repair shops I have been in the past. While there have been times when I've gone to the dealership for certain repairs (usually when my car was still under manufacturer's warranty)...I have saved thousands of dollars and received quality repairs by visiting Andre's shop. It's true that the location is "out of the way" for city dwellers or anyone who doesn't reside or work on the East side. Andre patiently listens to your concerns and honestly gives you a diagnosis without trying to over sell or upgrade your price. His prices are VERY reasonable especially compared to the dealer!! and if I did not mention he is a certified BMW, Mercedes technician, so your not getting some shade-tree mechanic. (that's not to say there's no value in that quality of mechanic). I trust DT motors quality of work and professionalism of service so much that all my cars (VW, Toyota and Dodge truck) are brought there for service. I then emailed the pictures Javier took to the manufacturer, Corsa, and as it turns out JM installed it upside down. When I asked for a refund, he refused, got angry and remarked "you better learn English" for context l'm a second generation Cuban immigrant, and I'm a bit tan but my english is completely fluent without even an accent. Javier, the owner, was paid over $7k for labor on an OEM engine rebuild, yet my performance car left the shop with a dead battery and a coolant leak. Not only did the shop owner try to weasel out of the 'warranty' by telling me I would have to pay for a coolant system repair, but he overbilled me. After agreeing on a rate of $125/hr the final bill states $169/hr which created about $1000 profit. Irresponsible comes from leaving my car smelling like shop oil/grease. My car has a dead battery, is leaking coolant, and smells like grease. IF YOU DONT STAND BEHIND YOUR WORK, YOU WILL CONTINUE TO LOSE CUSTOMERS! HONOR YOUR COMMITMENTS. Wow! What a huge disappointment!
