Located in an unsightly strip mall

UPDATE (03/29/2020): The owner has replied to my original review to insensitively dismiss a thorough account of my feelings and experience visiting his business. Want to verify the location, layout, and environment? You'll see it all aligns with the review below. I even attached three photos to substantiate it and you can see the tight layout, limited equipment, harsh lighting, and privacy curtain in his own uploaded photos (see photo 4 from January 22, 2019). I'm entitled to my own opinions. The owner is not entitled to his own facts. ------------------------- I visited Pro Motion in January 2020. The first thing I noticed was that it was located in a strip mall and I didn't get that clean medical office vibe. I parked the car close to the front door and looked up to see Domino's pizza was right next door... an odd neighbor for a clinic. Then I got out and noticed an advertisement for a psychic on the clinic window -- that didn't instill confidence at all. Lastly, there was a name of a therapist on the door and window that I later found out had left the clinic a month earlier -- I wasn't sure if keeping the name there was to save money in removal or to make it seem like there was more staff at the practice than there actually was. Inside the clinic, the square footage of this strip mall suite is quite limited and the treatment area only occupies about 60% of the space. Most PT clinics are spread out for comfort, equipment, and exercises and also have private spaces with walls for privacy in conversation and treatment -- this does not exist here as there is only a curtain to pull around a small corner space. The treatment tables are very close together and there is limited space for equipment and full range of motion exercises. It's almost like being in a hair salon where the chairs are super close together, stylists are bumping into each other, and you can hear everyone's conversations. The lighting was harsh too and felt like a sterile hospital where sick people go rather than a therapeutic environment for people already in the process of getting better. If you're looking for more than just a basic physical therapy experience with limited space, equipment, staff, location, and results then I would strongly recommend finding another physical therapy provider in Austin.

I can't understand why these people get good reviews unless they're planted or paid for ones,…read morebecause they don't know what they're doing, and are dangerous. A minor problem before is a major problem now, leaving these people liable for the damage they caused. When doctors say that they don't understand how incompetent people advertise as sports "medicine" practitioners and get away with doing permanent damage to people, that's really scary. So maybe instead of ignoring people whose lives are impacted by their screw ups, take the financial responsibility for the damage done and train people better, so that they don't do damage to anyone else. Avoid at all cost.

Found out that I required physical therapy to learn how to walk and do my normal routine for work and photography for many months. I've always heard about how painful it can be but working with Kevin Craig almost every week now for 5 months has been a life changer. He really pays attention on my progress as I learn how to walk once more without pain, listening to week on when my pain flares up and when it does not. He adjusts my PT sessions when he knows to focus on new things to get back together. We were focused on walking and now that I can almost walk normal, we adjusted my plan to walk with carrying weight (which is important as a photographer). I really dreaded SXSW this year because of 2 weeks on my feet with my camera gear, but with my on-going PT, I was able to get through the fest and adjust how walking and weight carry with his advice! Oh, and one of the best aspects of the PT sessions is also working with Luke along side Kevin. They say laughter is the best medicine, and Luke combines humor with the specialized exercises that Kevin assigns to make the time go by fast. Both Kevin and Luke make my weekly PT trips to the South Austin location something to look forward to!
