I first contacted Shelly more than a month prior to my required move date and I was assured that they could get the job done. I received very little communication from her leading up to the move date after asking several questions that I had regarding the move. At the end of the day, I should have gone with the bad vibes I was getting from this place. They were a NO-SHOW the day of the move and I could not get through to them by any means!! Their voice mailbox was full, they never answered the phone and wouldn't return my texts. I was packed , ready to go and needed to be out that day! Luckily I was able to hire a different efficient company that had me moved from Marble Falls to San Antonio by the end of the that day. Several hours later I received a text, apparently from someone that works there, saying they were still willing to do the move. By that time the other company had almost finished loading my stuff. I thought long and hard about leaving this negative review but finally decided it was time. Wow, but not in a good way! If I could give zero stars I would. We hired this company in advance to move my elderly parents (88 and 81) from Granite Shoals to The Woodlands in Houston. We should have known there would be a problem from the get-go. First, they got lost on the way to the house. Then only two showed for the job when we hired three. The discount for one less mover....$10 (seriously). Since we had flown in from GA and driven in from Dallas, we still moved forward with the paperwork. They walked through the home and said it should be an easy load since all but the furniture was packed and the majority of the boxes and small furniture pieces were already in the garage. It was lightly raining when they arrived. They got to work and loaded several pieces onto the truck. Within the hour there was a heavy downpour. They expressed concern for the furniture. Both my sister and I said we were good to continue. They opted to wait the rain out. We suggested preparing the pieces in the house with plastic wrap. Instead, they chose to sit in the truck. Thirty minutes later the rain had stopped. I came out to the truck and let them know we were good to proceed. After an additional 15 minute wait, the two guys came in and said they can't move in the rain because it isn't safe. This didn't make sense since they arrived in the rain that morning and started to load the truck. They proceeded to tell us that they were short-staffed and had worked 25 hours straight. They also had a big job in the morning. They stated that they looked on the radar forecast and it was supposed to rain in Spring TX. Clearly, our move was not convenient! Their solution, come back and move several days later. Not a viable solution since we had traveled specifically for this date and time. We called The owner to let her know this absolutely will not work for us and she hung up on us. She instead sent a text saying we were ugly and swearing at her men and they were afraid of us - a 52 and 60-year-old woman who had been up most of the night preparing for this move. Our only cuss words were "this is Bull Sh*t" after they told us they were leaving us in the lurch. DO NOT USE PRO MOVERS PLUS. They are anything but professional. It did not rain the rest of the day in Granite Shoals and never did rain in the Woodlands. My sister and I had to rent a 26-foot UHaul, find workers that day to load it and drive it ourselves to Houston! read more

WORST business practices @ PRO MOVERS PLUS in Marble Falls, TX I've ever seen. Asked for quote numerous times didn't get one until the lady called and asked for my CC #. Should've went with my gut but it was a referral from a friend. Moved 1 bed, 2 chairs, 1 small couch,2 refrigerators, washer and dryer, Bowflex, wooden sauna that was in panels (super light), 2 excercise bikes, and packed a very small kitchen. Didn't even move the boxes I packaged. Went 16 miles from Burnet to Bertram ​stopped at storage to drop off a few things on the way and charged $1848. If I would've had time to gather a couple friends it would have been done in 6 hours what a rip-off. I am local and believe in doing business local I will not refer anyone to this company! read more

ZERO STARS FOR THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!! Made our move the absolute worst experience in the world!!! Do yourself a favor & hire Tommy Leach with Mayday Movers instead! He was awesome, more affordable, so nice and didn't have a bad attitude like Shelly's guy Carlos. Tommy came to the rescue when Shelly & her team left us high and dry by canceling our move mid-move and driving off because it was too slippery in the rain (it only rained for the next 45 mins and then sun came out). Thank you Shelly; you took an already stressful situation, moving very elderly parents, and sent the stress level through the roof! Keep operating like you do and you'll be out of business, where you should be!!! The photo attached is my parent's driveway, two hours after Pro Movers had arrived, loaded 4 big pieces of furniture onto their truck, then decided to cancel the move (mid-move) and reschedule for another week due to rain. Carlos was also whining about having to work a 25 hour shift the day before, and having a big move the next day, so they wanted to cancel our move (note: Pro Movers Plus does not work on weekends so how do you have a 25? hour shift on Sunday). So they unloaded the furniture that they had just loaded, off the truck, put it in our garage, and DROVE OFF, leaving us without movers, when I had flown in from Atlanta, my sister from Dallas, & my brother from Houston to move my 87 year old parents. When pleading with Shelly, the owner, over the phone, that we can't reschedule because we were all from out of town and need to get home and back to work, SHE HUNG UP ON ME AND WOULDN'T TAKE OUR CALLS! Pro Movers is a no no. Shelly is the most unprofessional individual that I have ever dealt with. She is rude and will not listen to what the customer wants and needs. She had came recommended by my realtor, so I used her. I wouldn't advise anyone to use her company. Her employees told me that she was totally unfair to them also. Working them more than 30 hours a day sometimes. I told them to quit working for her and all three of them, did quit. I was told that she didn't end up paying one of them. A very expensive Kamado Joe BBQ pit (Over $1,000) was broken and she did not reimburse us, but $100. She is bad new all around. read more

I call a few weeks before my move. They said they would be there at 9:00 on July 17th. When 9:00 in the 17th came there were no movers and when I tried to call them I got a voice message. I left two message, never heard from them. Next I sent a email around 10:00 am on the 17th. Again nothing till around 2:00 the email I got said that they were having some staffing issues and she was not even in the office that day. I also drove to the location that was listed and there was no business located at the address on there website. I also found out that I was the third person that had this same trouble. The Last email I got just said that she was so sorry and that they could not move me on the 17th. I would not recommend them to anyone that needs a movers. They do not care about the business because they are not in their office and have no idea what they are doing. read more

Worst moving company we have ever used....BY FAR!! They took 7 hours to load a 10x20 making my 78 yr old mother wait in triple digit heat. Was told there would be 3 guys and was quoted for that, only 2 showed. 1/2 way through loading one guy disappears and never returns. So the only guy there leaves in truck 1/2 full w/ nothing tied down and damages numerous items to find another helper. Returns over an hour later to finish loading. 7 hours later they take an hour to drive a 15 minute drive. Once unloaded the guy demanded payment for the 3 guys when only 2 showed. We were not going to pay for 3 guys when only 2 showed. The owner tried to discount the bill $10, what a joke. The guy lingered around my parents house for almost an hour. We were about to call the police when he finally left. The owner started threatening my elderly parents by telling them they were going to go to jail. Who does this?? I wouldn't wish these people on anyone, by far the worst moving experience I have ever seen!! read more
