This was our third long distance move, so we were not only looking for a fair estimate but a quality move. Not only was Steven consistently the best communicator out of all the 20+ movers I contacted, he was the only one to show up on time for the onsite estimate. I am still finding stuff that they broke.am so mad they broke so much stuff. Some bits pieces came off of a plaster picture frame that was from the 1800's instead of picking them up and putting them in one place and telling me where they were . They were thrown on the floor and some left in a bedroom drawer. The side panel of my armoire split and was pushed up again other furniture to hide the damage they did. You name they broke it. I don't think they have insurance. I asked about the picture frame and he said they put it on the fireplace mantle . No such luck there. They crated painting very poorly. Please don't let them crate anything. Next time I will do it my self. If you have nice stuff you care about go else where. My fridge was dinted. Another book case was broken. Stuff is missing from drawers. Wow! I glad that moved the irreplaceable most important stuff my self. I used another company after the two load that they took and not one thing was broken. So there are good movers out there. Just make sure you get one. Wow even now years later i have found that they have taken parts from an old Chinese bed . This Rosewood bed had dragon panels on it one of the Dragon panels are missing. I'm sure it's hanging up in their wall somewhere the beds completely useless. It's only about 250 years old real winners breaking frames on oil paintings and just not giving a shit and leaving parts in the middle of your floor such great guys I would find someone else.. it would be really nice if somebody would actually care about your stuff and let you know that a panel fell out but now it's a cool panel so I'm sure they thought wow I'll keep this destroyed perfectly old antique worthless total losers still finding problems years and years later just disgusting. They don't give a shit about anything. read more

They showed up late, but kept me informed and they were friendly, but I WOULD NOT recommend for the ability to pack items without DAMAGE in transit. Heavy items on top, antique wood furniture on its rounded front, items marked fragile were on the bottom and crushed by the weight of the heavy boxes that fell from the boxes under them giving out due to the load on top of them. I have moved across country 5 times and have never had this many damaged items. It was complete lack of care and planning while packing the trailer. Every box and piece of furniture has some type of damage. Obviously, my stuff is just my loss and a hard lesson, but I hope this gets their attention and makes them think about these moves as a responsibility to care for someone's items, not just getting them on a truck. The damaged painting and wood dresser are family heirlooms from the 1800's - they made it all this time with no damage until now. Heartbreaking!! read more

I hired Army Ant Moving to help me with a very small move of a handful of different pieces of furniture and a refrigerator from one location to two different destination points. From my initial conversation to the final delivery, service and communication were outstanding. One example, I was given a range of when the movers would arrive between 1-3. Shortly before 1pm the head mover called me and told me that they would not be arriving until pretty close to 3pm And apologized for not contacting me sooner. The move itself went off without a hitch - the movers were friendly, efficient and respectful. They handled all the furniture with care and made sure everything was to my satisfaction upon completion. Between my home moves, office moves, and referrals for close family, I have used Army Any about a half dozen times with great success.....except for my most recent experience which moved them from a 5 star company to one with 2 stars. We had a full house move scheduled in July. The two man team they sent did not want to work. They were not helpful. At one point, they indicated that they did not want proceed because it began to rain. Then when the rain stopped, they did not want to work because I had not properly wrapped my mattresses and they were "professionals" and should have been given, apparently, a better wrapping/packing job than what I did. Which may be, but if they are getting paid by the hour, I would have gladly paid them to do what was necessary to get the job done. After their umpteenth complaint about staying, I finally asked, "So guys are you going to walk the job? Let me know, but I need to know right not." While their attitudes changed, the job they did putting things into my storage units were by far the worst Army Ant has every done. The whole experience was horrible, but I was stuck. I had limited time to get out of the house. I was so displeased with their service that I used a different company to unload when I moved into my new house. While I used to highly recommend Army Ant, I no longer recommend them. It's now...be careful who you get. Which is disappointing as I used to be loyal customer. read more

Highly recommend! Jackson and Steven were early, communication was en pointe always and they were kind and efficient. I was a small move and they were definitely efficient and got me moved from North Austin to south Austin in less than 2 hours. The cost was comparable to other companies but I found that they were amenable to my direction with handling my furniture and stacking totes and boxes. It was totally worth the $400 and I tipped them both well. I loved that you could get a quote based on items you owned via their website. They were able to customize my quote that way. Army Ants Moving thank you! Army Ants Moving is as good as it gets. My moving company in Charleston, SC recently teamed up with Army Ants Moving to help unload 3 large trucks into our clients home on Thursday morning. I was referred to them over a month ago everything was perfect from the beginning. The Owner Steven and Jose both kept great communication and was able let us postpone our date when needed and they allowed us to work together when we unloaded. And on top of it they let us use their dollies and equipment. They arrived on time fully prepared with experienced movers and the owner worked side by side with everyone. When Steven and his Team arrived they were extremely polite to our staff & our clients family. My movers and I were exhausted from loading the trucks in SC followed by 2 day drive to TX and they stepped right in to give us a boost of energy to get back in the game. I can not put in words of how thankful and privileged we felt to have the help of these hard working professionals. Only regret is once finished we had to rush to the airport to catch our flight back to Charleston, SC. Army Ants, you guys rock! The movers were great, however, they cracked one of my tiles. I reached out and let the office know immediately (movers were still here), they said they would take care of it. I had no other communication for over a week. I finally followed up and they said that they had reached out to their tile company. I reached out again 3 days later, finally the tile company came out. They matched the grout and it took them almost 2 additional weeks to replace the tile. It took over a month to have 1 cracked tile replace & I had the replacement tile. Communication is key, and it was horrible in this instance. Next time I move, I will definitely be using a different company. read more

My husband and I have moved various times from San Diego to Texas, and across the TX Hill Country, and this was by far the best experience. On top of that, they had great reviews online, putting me at ease. Desmond and Jose showed up promptly in the window I was told they would. They were personable, fast, and handled my stuff with great care. I didn't think I had THAT much stuff, so I rented a 5 x 10 storage unit. As I saw them putting my stuff in the trailer/taking it out, I worried my unit wouldn't be large enough to handle my possessions. Luckily for me, Desmond and Jose are also great at real life Tetris, fitting my stuff in the unit perfectly after doing a little rearranging. I will be moving my stuff out once I buy a new place. We recently moved to our new home and decided to go with Army Ant Moving. I requested a quote and received a response in 10 minutes. They are reasonably priced and accommodating. They gave us a window of an hour of arrival. Once they arrived, it turns out I had less stuff than I thought, and only took 20 minutes between two movers. I forgot their names but they were super nice. All the furniture was wrapped correctly. No dings, no marks, nothing got dirty. Since I had less stuff to move, they went ahead and adjusted my price accordingly. I don't think I will move for a while but if I do, will defensively use them again. Thanks guys! read more

Amazing is the word that comes to my mind. They packed and moved everything from my fifth floor apartment - it was smooth as silk. Friendly and courteous folks who also fixed my tables broken leg ( I didn't even ask for it). They unloaded everything at the destination swiftly. These guys crushed it. Einstein moved me some heavy stuff into storage for me and kinda just threw it in. They said I did better packing it then Rinstein did. My buddy recommended these guys to move me into my house and they knocked out a 10x20 storage unit to a house in 3 hours. The dude's had jokes and were speedy and super attentive. Got all our stuff in all the right spots. Very pleased with their service, would highly recommend. They also charge a better rate than Einstein Movers. $60 / HR per man for my move. Customer service is excellent from the first call to cashing out. The guys are helpful, fast, and efficient. A bunch of things went wrong on my moves and they were super flexible on contingency plans, from storage unit lock lockouts to last-minute packing. They also never overcharge. My one regret is that my tall cat tree's connecting pieces were broken, presumably during the disassembly process. Luckily I'm not too attached to it, and neither is the cat save sporadically, but I wish I'd seen it sooner so we could have gotten help disposing of it. Better luck next time. read more

We were their second move of the day for them. The dispatcher said they should be through about 11am. I received a call at 2:30pm from the driver who said they were going to drop off the first clients stuff. At 4 o'clock I called the dispatcher and explained that we have to be out of here, our house is sold and new people are moving in! He said he'd call the movers, and find out where they were, and then call me back. He never called me back. Now I've got a house with furniture in it I can't move and a hurricane coming down on us. My wife and I are beyond angry! They were recommended to me by a friend, and now she has"egg on her face" too.
