This place is wonderful! They accommodated a last-minute Bachelorette party during our manis and pedis, and set up a table right in the center of the nail area for us, complete with tablecloth! Their children's chairs made my 3-yr-old granddaughter's first experience really fun. And the 10% discount made it really affordable. read more

So I'm a regular at this place and they typically do a very nice job which is why I'm willing to pay a slightly higher price for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. However i recently came in on New Year's Eve, and I don't know if it was because I got a pedicurist who was new or in a bad mood, but he wasn't paying attention at all to what he was doing- wildly gesturing with his hands and speaking loudly in another language and not paying the slightest attention to what he was doing until I had to comment out loud. He also changed the temperature of my water while I was in the restroom which was also pretty annoying. I was pretty irritated by this because I desperately needed a good pedicure which is why I came to this place. Hopefully this is not a trend and is just a one off bad experience, but if this happens again I will certainly be finding another nail salon. read more

They just moved down the Colinnade to a new location and it's gorgeous. The selection of colors are phenomenal! I love getting my eyebrows done here--quick with great results. They can be a little rough, but things always turn out looking good in the end. read more

I'm writing this review because I have been incredibly pleased with my eyebrow & upperlip wax here. Everywhere I've gone in the past, I always end up super red and with bumps that take 3 days to go away. My skin always gets super irritated. Well not at Pro-Nails! I've had my eyebrows & upper lip done here twice by two different women and while I do end up a little red, there are no bumps and the red is gone 2 hours later! Wow!!!! The techs are super friendly, and they do a good job. They also have student discounts. Anyways, I'm only living in A^2 for this year, so I'm going to be bummed when I leave, but this place is awesome and I highly recommend it! read more

I got a $28 shellac done on my nails on a Friday, woke up Sunday morning (after going to bed with all nails still in good shape) with the color completely peeled off on 3 nails. I was able the take off the rest off the nails by just peeling off the color like a nail sticker. Shellac normally takes some scraping to get it off, so I'm not sure what happened but I do know I won't be spending anymore money at this salon. read more

Went here based on the mostly positive yelp reviews. I was a walk in and originally came in for a shellac French manicure. Opted instead for a full set (French) bc it was the same price. Paid 35+ tip. I am very happy with my results. The woman who did my nails was very professional and did not rush through. I think this is one of the best full sets I've had. The interior of the salon is beautiful, there are tons of stations and pedicure tubs. Everything looked clean and brand new. This will be my go to place for my nails from now on. read more

This was my second time getting my nails done here. First time, I got a manicure. They did a decent job. This time, I went in for a pedicure. This was expensive for the work they did (or should I say didn't do). The pedicures I've gotten done in the past at different places always removed all the calluses on my feet-giving me smooth callus free feet. ProNail did not remove any of the calluses on my feet. I ended up going home, re-soaking my feet and taking care of the calluses on my own feet way better than they did. As for the other services that came with the pedicure, it was a waste. The person doing my pedicure just slapped the products on, and quickly moved on. With reading the other reviews, my experience was very similar to "C Z." (reviewed on 5/19/17). I will NOT be coming back to this place. If I was giving stars based upon this experience alone, it would be only 1 star. They get an extra star for doing a decent job on my manicure from a prior visit. read more

I was in on Thursday for a gel manicure. I was immensely disappointed that seem to have gotten rid of all their CND product. However, I picked out my color and was sat with a technician. She soaked my nails, cleaned my cuticles, and asked me to wash my hands. After doing so, she applied acetone directly to my nails, then applied my gel polish. An older tech hovered over her the entire time, leading me to believe my tech was in training. 3 days later and 3 of my nails have come off in a single strip. 3 others are lifting. Not sure whether I want to go back and complain, but I usually have no issue with gel manis. They typically last me 2-3 weeks. The only difference in this mani was that initial acetone, and I should have spoken up then. I don't believe my nails cured properly. read more

Litterally sat there for 45 minutes soaking my nails, like are you serious ? Watched people who got there after me get thier nails done while I'm sitting there still getting mine soaked. My hands look gross because of how long they were soaking in acetone. I didn't even want to stay to get my nails done. I think I'll stick with Nail Bar. read more

Went in for an acrylic set. Jimmy was really nice and professional. He took his time and made sure to ask me several times if I liked the shape and if I wanted him to change anything. The place is nicely decorated and they seem to have a fair number of regulars. Price is similar/low compared to other places, $26 +tip. read more

The salon is sometimes very busy and a lot of times they seem disinterested. If you take the time to find someone for your needs and develop a rapport, you will be happy. They take appointments. I really like Jeff, he does a great job . I'm always pleased with the way my nails look! read more

I tried this place as a walk-in for a dip mani. My expectations were low, because so many places don't know how to do dip properly. I was super happy when I ended up with a beautiful job! A month later I walked in again for another dip mani. Saw a different person and again, they turned out beautiful! My third trip as a walk in for a gel mani and pedi was awesome. Seems like all their nail techs do a super job. The salon is spacious and clean (bathrooms as well), and everyone is very friendly and efficient. Love Pro Nails! read more

I've been here twice now and both times they did what they wanted and not what I asked for. I came in and was very clear that I didn't want the acrylic tips, just the free form powder. When he started to do my nails, I pulled my hand away because he was trying to glue acrylic tips, after I specifically told him not to. He told me that I couldn't get the length I wanted with only the powder. This is just not true. I've had many manicures with much longer nails with only the gel. The manager came to explain this to me, he basically told me that what I was requesting wasn't what I wanted and that the acrylic tips are what is trendy right now. So either they don't have the skill set to do this type of manicure, or they were just being lazy. They proceeded to glue on the acrylic tips. It was extremely painful and still is hours after the manicure. I'm furious, and I want my money back. read more

After a very long time, I went in to Pro Nails a few weeks ago for a pedicure and wanted to add on a 10 minute leg/foot massage, something I always treat myself to when I am able to secure the time for a pedicure. It's never been a problem to tell my nail tech to add on that time at other places. After being told to "sit wherever you like," the nail tech who was going to be doing my nails yells across the room for me to come sit at another chair . Then when I asked her before she even started to add on massage, she said "we don't do that, I had a client last week who got a $75 massage on stadium. You can go there." I assumed she misunderstood the kind of massage I wanted. So I told her I had added on extra 10 minutes of leg/foot massage the last time I was there a year or two ago, have they now removed that from the services? She said, "yeah I don't have time for that, I have other clients coming for pedicure and manicure." Alrighty, then. I'll just stick with other salons where I've had better service and where it's not a big deal to add on a paid extra service to your already pricey pedicure. read more

Ok i've been to this salon three times. First time was great. Nails lasted almost three weeks. Second time not so good. Nails were to thick to wide and looked like i needed a fill in less than a week. Not to mention two fell off. I tried to explain that i thought the width was to wide and the tech just said she was matching my nail. Well i've had my nails done plenty enough to know better. So the third time. Well figuered since i paid for the second they should be the ones repairing the two that fell off. Both nails that were repaired are crooked and fat, no where near close enough to cuticle. They are very nice however not worth the money. Wont be back. PS Please DONT leave me to eat luch and come back so i can smell the food you just ate just gross. read more

THE WORST PLACE EVER! I guess I didn't read enough of the reviews. I just moved to Ann Arbor from New York City last week and looked on Yelp for a place close by to get a pedicure. They were impolite when I walked in and I should have left then. The man who started my pedicure was rude. I showed him an open cut on one of my big toes and asked him to please be very carefully. I had to tell him two more times (again nicely) because he just kept touching it and getting polish remover on it. He did a non-job on the cuticles. Then he used a cheese grater on my callouses which already had skin on it from someone else. When he wouldn't do more on a patch of very cracked skin and then touched the open sore again, I said, "Forget it. Don't touch me" and started to take my feet off the bench. I tried to get a towel since my feet were wet and the floor is tile but he wouldn't even give it to me and started shouting at ME to "GET OUT". There was no manager or owner present to complain to and as I was leaving, with my feet still wet, I almost slipped and I told the girl at the desk that if I did slip I'd sue them. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. It looks nice and fancy but it is terrible. read more

I went here 7 days ago to have a shellac manicure - a product that is supposed to last 2 weeks or more. Within just one day the shellac started to lift, and within 5 days most of the shellac had come off entirely - like in one piece when I was just washing my hands! It lasted less time than a regular manicure. So basically $45 [including tip] bought me a 2 day manicure. Absolutely terrible. read more

I try to be as fair as possible, but this wasn't great. My manicure was ok but the girl that helped me was incredibly rude. She told me I couldn't mess up my nails because they didn't have enough polish to fix it. I also noticed that most of the lamps, drying areas were very very dirty. Two of my nails with shellac chipped the next day. Several others chipped within 3 days of having them done. I returned to have them fixed and they questioned me about what I had been doing to them (which was nothing out of the ordinary). I waited for 10 minutes and they foiled the chipped nails and said to wait 5 minutes. 20 minutes later they finally redid my nails. While I was waiting the woman at the front desk rolled her eyes at another customer who was told there would be a 5 minute wait, but she had waited 20 minutes. After over 45 minutes of being at the salon they decided to charge me $5 for fixing my nails. That wouldn't have been a problem, but I tried to pay with my card and they told me there was a $10 minimum. I don't carry cash and I wasn't about to withdraw from an ATM for $5. They begrudgingly accepted my card. I usually go to Bebe's on Washtenaw, but it takes me awhile to get there (especially on my lunch break) because it is on the other side of town. I went to this salon originally to save myself the drive. I will be happily driving across town to Bebe's from now on where there is excellent (and fast!) customer service and quality manicures. read more

First time and last time visiting this salon. One of the worst fills ever. I wish I could remember the girls name that did my nails. I was very concerned with the way she was cutting my cuticles. She cut me on 6 of my nails. Two very bad. She said sorry once. They are very sore. I have to clean daily with peroxide and apply antibiotic gel. Not fun. read more

Shellac manicures typically last anywhere from 2-5 weeks on my nails from other salons. I have visited pro nails twice now and the shellac polish lasted less than one week. I believe they do not buff the nail base as much as other salons which doesn't provide a good base for the polish. Additionally the polish is applied very close to the edge of the nails so as the nails grow through the first week, the polish lifts right off the nail bed. The rest of the polished peeled off very easily which is not the case when I have shellac done at other nail salons. Overall although the environment and price is good, I would not recommend getting shellac manicure at Pro Nails. read more

I'm new to Ann Arbor so I don't know what other nail salons in town are like but Pro Nails was awesome! Looks like they have recently rennovated, the space is really modern and new. I had Ryan for my pedicure and David for my shellac manicure and both were great. I also got my eyebrows done and was hapy with the results - but I dont recall the technician's name. Overall, I think this place is a good bet and I will certainly be back! read more
