I stopped in because I was looking for a chemical free manicure on natural nails. I was on my way to a different salon down the road. I was greeted right away and the tech was available within a few minutes. The front was very clean and tidy. Things went downhill after that. The work station of the tech who did my nails was filthy - covered with dusty and crust. The longer I sat there, the more I saw and the more frustrated I felt. Tools like nippers for cuticles seemed to have been used on other customers with old cuticle on them. I'm so embarrassed that I didn't get up and leave. The tech used an efile to tear up my nail beds and then buffed them out anyway. This seemed to be a substitute for actually cleaning the old regular nail polish off. The nail polish application was sloppy with the tech applying way too much for each layer. No base coat was used, so my nail beds will be stained now. This tech applied the polish like it's gel and not like it's ordinary nail polish that needs to air dry. It's got bubbles and streaks and is cracking where the top doesn't quite cover the color. Especially strange was that I was asked to pay and tip before my service was finished. I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend. read more

I visited Natural Nails 2 weeks ago for the first time to get a gel manicure fill and regular pedicure and was not disappointed! I'm pretty picky about how my nails are done, but I was in a pinch where my hometown salon was booked up and I wasn't able to get them done prior to visiting family in Ann Arbor before going to a wedding. Both Amanda and Ty took care of me- they helped teach me about nail care and the types of products and procedures they use, and each took their time throughout the process. They are both know their stuff, had great suggestions, checked in for my opinion often during the service, and did a great job with my nails while providing kind conversation throughout. Both my manicure and pedicure have held up perfectly since getting them done and I have received many compliments. Awesome pedicure by Leo! He did an amazing job. I was super stressed/pregnant and couldn't handle doing my own toes. I got the deluxe pedicure and it was so worth it and the prices were very fair. Best of all, the pedicure was an hour, so I actually got to relax and melt into the massage chairs. I'm not a huge fan of places that get you in an out and turn and burn customers. I want to enjoy the experience and have a moment to pamper myself. I also got shellac upgrade for 10$. Will absolutely be back and asking for Leo! Also noteworthy is how clean everything was. With summer approaching I really wanted to get a season opening pedicure, but with Sunday being one of my only days off, it can be difficult to find a salon that's open. So I did some research here and Sunday morning my friend and I ended up deciding to try here. The reviews mentioning Ty are spot on, super friendly and honest. The chair was comfortable, water hot, and the lady helping me was really nice. Overall, my pedicure was a great experience. Went in for a regular nail fill, left in extreme pain and damaged nails. Where do I begin? The nail tech drilled my nails so hard that he BURNED my nail beds. ALL OF THEM. Bright pink. Then he examined my nails and proclaimed that the last person who did my nails did a horrible job. He made 6/10 of my nails bleed, and then dumped some alcohol on them without telling me what he was doing. I asked for my acrylics to be trimmed, and he cut the entire length off. At this point I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I asked for a black matte polish, of course they didn't have matte. I'm still trying not to cry over the pain, and he leads me over to a chair and just starts polishing my toe nails. I did not ask for a pedicure. It was like "oh sorry you're in extreme pain and your nails don't look anything like you wanted them to, here's a half ass pedicure to make up for it". Worst manicure I've ever had in my life. Took my acrylics off three days later to find dried blood under my nails. Complete nightmare. I want a refund. read more

I had a bit of trouble finding this place - it's in the little center next to the chipotle, and it's on the bottom level of the two story part. The place itself is nice and clean - nicely decorated. When I came in I had no wait, though there was also only one person working. They have an especially large color selection, which I always appreciate. I got their normal pedicure ($25) which covered the basics, but also included a scrub, a hot stone rub, and hot towel wrap along with a lot of massaging from the nail technician. The service was pretty quick (my pedicure lasted just about 20 minutes) but you get so much for what you pay. This is seriously the best deal I've ever had on a pedicure. I'm incredibly happy with how my nails turned out. They did a very nice job and we're gentle - there was 0 pain. This is definitely gonna be my go-to nail salon in Ann Arbor. read more

Eh. They did an OK job. I've had way better for the *same price*. I came in on a weekend day. Not 1 other customer walked in while I was there (about 2 hours). I had a pedicure and full dip set. I had called 7 other places that couldn't fit me in and I'm not at all surprised Natural Nails wasn't busy. I was treated rudely, she was rough and everything was rushed. I came here in a rush after my usual local nail salon cancelled my appointment after I came 5 mins late. I was frantically in need of a shellac mani before a major event the next day, and after calling three or four different nail salons in the area, Natural Nails said they could take me right away. After showing up I was still asked to wait for 10 mins, but one of the attendants called me to her station after just five mins. Great relaxing vibe in the salon and my manicure was very quick and efficient. Sometimes the ones who work quickly compromise on quality, but the woman who worked on my nails was very gentle on my hands and was clearly very experienced with shellac. One star off because she didn't seem to keep track of how long my hands were under the UV-- I've had enough shellac manis to know how long is enough so I removed my hands myself, but I was surprised that she wasn't using a timer on the machine like most other places. Overall, a neat and efficient place that isn't very crowded on weekdays-- I'll be back if I need another manicure in a jiffy! read more
